As a soldier that has been on the other side of one of these moments it’s heartwarming for both. When I came home from my 1st deployment I was just a child. I turned 19 in Iraq and there were lots of moments when I was over there that I didn’t think I’d ever see my family again. And that day in the airport when I saw my sister and that hug meant more than anyone will ever know. I made it back when others didn’t and I was so thankful.

As a man that didn't have a family growing up, and then was a toxic husband for over a decade to the love of my life, but managed to still have an incredible son who is a phenomenal person, I have learned family is THE most important thing. God bless the men and women who serve our country A family friend of ours surprised us after 4 years, when he randomly took a seat next to my father during my graduation ceremony, my mother and father both told me that he never really made it back but then he decided to sneak up behind me and wrap me up in a hug after I graduated after the entire ceremony was over

Mad respect for anyone from any military around the world. Being able to put your life on the line, going through many sacrafices for the safety of your country is a feat like non other and being able to come home and see your family safe and sound must be the best feeling imaginable for them. ❤️
Family couldn't have missed him that much barely out of training, he's not even a Lance corporal and all you have to do is be active duty for 9 months lol. Plus if you aren't on deployment your always going to have leave to visit family on holidays..
