I am a woman and I will alwas defend War of Hormone. I didn't find it offensive, there are way worse songs made in the west actually objectifying women and nobody bats an eye. Every other western artist uses women as props for their MVs to flex and nobody cares, either. But since it was BTS and people were trying to find a reason to hate and cancel them... they will always find one, no matter how miniscule and blow it out of proportions.

I don't remember the heat either, but since they apologized and they started researching extensively before and after writing, Im guessing it was pretty bad. But the fact that they researched and looked into why this criticism was there makes me so very proud of them. I think it's pretty stupid to be mad at War of Hormone. They said it themselves that the theme of the song was to represent what teenage boys think, and I don't care how "proper" a guy says he is, those are going to be his thoughts a lot of the time. They didn't disrespect women at all, they maybe objectified women a bit but that is also where the double standards come in. Women don't get called out for objectifying men half as much as men do. (different levels of objectification and produced uncomfortableness taken out for the sake of the message). The song wasn't nearly as bad as most mainstream western artists' songs.

There's something especially poignant about watching wab: the eternal after watching so many of the music videos. Probably because as you watch each video, you know what they were going through at those times. And especially because some of those struggles are depicted in the video. The reason you saw all the blurs in Come Back Home was because of the tats. Most of the time, Korean broadcasters won't allow it on air. And Suga staring into the fire in Fake Love was also my favorite part of the MV. There was just something about they way he looked it directly in the eye and then adding that smile/smirk. Yeah. off topic but I absolutely adore your personality transition from the time you started listening to BTS and k-pop to now :D I feel like you've opened up and maybe became a better person? (not saying you were a bad one to begin with but you know what I mean) Because that's the effect I feel like BTS has on many people, myself included. They just broaden your horizons and make you more accepting of things or people you might have had prejudice against before and I think that's wonderful

I think it's pretty stupid to be mad at War of Hormone. They said it themselves that the theme of the song was to represent what teenage boys think, and I don't care how "proper" a guy says he is, those are going to be his thoughts a lot of the time. They didn't disrespect women at all, they maybe objectified women a bit but that is also where the double standards come in. Women don't get called out for objectifying men half as much as men do. (different levels of objectification and produced uncomfortableness taken out for the sake of the message). The song wasn't nearly as bad as most mainstream western artists' songs.

There's something especially poignant about watching wab: the eternal after watching so many of the music videos. Probably because as you watch each video, you know what they were going through at those times. And especially because some of those struggles are depicted in the video. Knowing where they came from and how far they've come, and hearing those lyrics, it makes you want to hold every last one of those men so tightly.

I could see someone being very very slightly offended IF they were super conservative. But the amount of hate it got....had to be haters just looking for a reason (any reason) to bring them down. The reason you saw all the blurs in Come Back Home was because of the tats. Most of the time, Korean broadcasters won't allow it on air. And Suga staring into the fire in Fake Love was also my favorite part of the MV. There was just something about they way he looked it directly in the eye and then adding that smile/smirk. Yeah. So anyway, thank you for spending so much time diving in. There are a few older Japanese MVs you missed though and also the Mo-Blue-Mix version of Danger. Check them out.
