I was watching this race and realised It Harvey in Brock car , there both Gone R.I.P , Harvey , and Brock , Moffat is In his later stages of life , I Reached The stage I Don't care what car they Drive , I enjoy watching them Drive Go Dicky ,comeing from a Holden Man
I was standing on the straight and had a perfect view of the Moffat/Wilmington incident. It seemed like he just disappeared over the bank and finished up on Nerang Broadbeach Rd.
What a beast 😂it was an outdated pile of leaf sprung shit that never won Bathurst and had a fools gold spent on it for ford tragics like Johnson to fly the flag for drop kicks.
Moffat turned across Gary Wilmington, causing his own accident. Watch carefully, Wilmington doesn't change his line at all, but Moffat dives across his nose and fails to clear the Falcon, spinning himself out. (I'm a Moffat fan, too).
Yes. Moffat did turn across him but Wilmington just shouldn’t have been there. All he had to do was to feather the throttle a touch on the straight to let the leaders get on with their race. Even without the crash, he baulked McLeod badly and would have been far from the most popular driver for than anyway. It simply wasn’t his fight as a lapped car.
Moffat would have been thinking Wilmington would have got out of it so they could get around him, as it turned out Moffat probably had to turn or not make it around the corner. Wilmington had no business being where he was.
"Its unusual to see dick pull out just like that". "Wet over the back, Allan?". "Well yes, but its wet for all of them". LOL I miss this track; its old school nature and layout. Its all housing estate now (has been for years).
Will Hagon and John Smailes , such great commentators
Don't think people realise the importance of decent commentary. Murray Walker, Keith Huewen, Julian Ryder, Darryl Eastlake & Barry Sheene come to mind
Still the best ...forgot the rest
I was there for this race! It was an awesome day.

You obviously know nothing there champ....It wasn't leaf sprung. No XE Falcon was.
And funny that an XD with leaf springs did win Bathurst in 1981.
@@PR91GT Where the fuck did you get that from? Never said anything about watt linkage/leaf springs? You fuckin idiot. Read it again u wally.
@@PR91GT And I assume that was meant for someone else.....
@@captainkaos754 Coil springs and Watts linkage on XE's. And you think Holden and Marlboro didn't throw uber fools gold into the VH and VK's ?
1080p is much appreciated. Good work mate 👍
Same here, I loved the races
That ford was a fucking monster
Dick Johnson. The real father of drifting.

Peter Brock raced a Porsche 956 in the Silverstone 1000 km World Endurance Championship that day sharing the car with Larry Perkins.
Didn't realise. How'd he do ?

Bob Valdez Agreed, Garry should of moved over because he was given loads of time to move over with the blue flag.
Wilmington should have been well out of the way and stayed on the far right of the straight in the first place

Happens to the best of them. He's only human.

There was concrete inside in the stump of the tree .
Only way Johnson could win was when his car had a lot more power than the rest or being a co driver with john bowe
What are you smoking???
quiet, dummy.
John wasn't in the team
