Makeup is designed to just be something used to create an external image that is largely dictated by trends and what the mutual human psyche sees as glamorous or attractive at the moment. Make up has never looked the same for more than a decade really, and we cringe at older trends. Why should something so ephemeral define beauty?

This might be weird, but I find that wearing a light layer of foundation when I go into public acts as a protective layer against germs and dirt and face touching, I get less breakouts that way
