- CATIA V5 - ASSEMBLY DESIGN ADVANCED - SKELETON DESIGN BOTTOM UP APPROACH - CRANK PISTON EXAMPLE
In this video we show you an advanced Assembly Design methodology called Skeleton Design. This is the 'bottom up' approach because all the parts that make up the assembly are already modeled. The skeleton therefore isn't used to model any parts, the skeleton is just used to constrain them together.
1. Start with an empty Product
2. Add an empty Part and call it SKELETON
3. Fix the SKELETON part
4. Insert all existing parts and constraint to the SKELETON
5. Change Assembly Design settings to ‘Paste with constraints’
6. When testing the constraints make sure to hold down the SHIFT key to take them into account
Can you upload the dmu kinematics of spring in catia??
I NEED YOUR HELP... AFTER 4:00 I CANNOT MOVE OR ROTATE COMPONENTS INDIVIDUALY AS YOU ARE DOING
Hi, i have a problem in assembly design. When i move a part, like you do at 8:25, the others parts won't follow and i have to manually update every time, despite i have checked " automatic update" in assembly design settings. It starts to drive me crazy, please help me !
Have u tried holding in the shift key while moving parts? That should force it to respect the constraints.
@@how2catia970 It works ! Thank you very much !

Where's the sound?
Bad video quality, and not sound.
