If consciousness were shown to be primary and material a specific relation between consciousness there could be supposedly "magical" free will that could manifest physical changes i.e. brain states. We cannot at this point know if matter or consciousness is primary, so at this point it's a coin toss.
I think this is a spectacular example of the interdisciplinary challenge of philosophy and science. There would not be a 1:1 correspondence between between brain atates and phenomenology? Should scientists look for a soul? And the evidence is race is not genetic? So when i cheated on my boyfriend and the baby was born of a different race than him he never found out that i had someone elses child because race is socially constructed and not genetic? I wonder if philosophers do not recognize the statistical method of cluster analysis or reject it because it does not produce mutually exclusive categories, and their construction of language does.
