Never been a fan of Kanye or even this entire genre of music but listening to Donda, this album really has something special to it. It has so much motivation behind it, so much personal drive. It feels so special. Edit: a lot of people are assuming that I just never knew Kanye existed until now... I don’t listen to his other music because I don’t like his other music. I’m sorry if that completely enrages you and makes you want to throw shit at me. Yes, I grew up listening to his music because of my father. Still didn’t like it. Another edit: if you listen to any music that associates itself with emo Bart Simpson edits, don’t publicly share your opinion. You’re only bullying yourself. I even have more respect for Morrissey fans.

Yeah, drake are still a human so he just listen to other rappers
😂😂😂 true
We off the grid grid grid
Drakes album mid mid mid
I would t blame him. He's human after all.
Lauryn Hill and Buju Blanton added so much more soul to this track.
Was just wondering if its Buju Banton I heard. Thanks for the confirmation!
I knew for a fact that was his voice but he’s not credited on the album
@@pdoc9885 He is credited as Mark Myrie.
Hes solidified his entire catalog with this album. I'm not a fan and only know his early work in limited experience and I fully believe this is a Master Work. This level of work places him in a pretty small club of similar artists.

I’m literally listening to this song when I wake up everyday it’s so refreshing
Spiral out, brother! Never limit yourself when it comes to exploring different music
I don't get how anyone can't be a fan of Kanye🤷🏼♂️
You are a Tool fan.

[Intro: Lauryn Hill]
Yo, yo (Check our situation)
My men and my women
(Yo) Yo, yo (Check our situation)
My men and my wom-
[Verse 1: Kanye West]
You need somethin' unexpected, some form of weapon
You ask him to feel protected, and still feel protected
Just one time for the record, just one time for the record
Don't agree with the message, don't agree with the methods
[Chorus: Kanye West]
Don't let, don't let the lifestyle drag you down
Who knows when was the last time you felt the love
One last sparkle to follow in my light
One last sparkle to follow
[Verse 2: Kanye West]
Man, it's too early
What the hell you doin' wakin' me up at 5:30?
Why the hell are you worried?
Play somethin' that is very, very vibe-worthy
I don't know want my mind alerting
People sayin' tweetin' gonna make you die early
How 'bout have my heart hurtin'?
Hold it all inside, that could make you die early
Go on and get your best attorney
Something's there, feel it when I heard it
Just release the spirit, let it flow though
How these **** leaving now with one leg like Flo-Jo?
Nail me to the cross with long nails, like Coko
Free Throat Coat for the throat goats
Even if I gotta do it solo, even if I gotta do it with no promo
I ain't got my point across
'Til we finally get across and pass the point
So there's a couple things that I gotta quote
Don't involve yourself in things you don't have to know
I ain't never question what you was askin' for
I gave you every single thing you was askin' for
I don't understand how anybody could ask for more
Got a list of even more, I just laugh it off
I be goin' through things I had to wrote
Celebrity drama that only Brad'll know
Too many family secrets, somebody passin' notes
Things I cried about, I found laughable
Lil' baby Jesus, ain't laughing, no
Don't involve yourself in things they ain't have to know
The big man upstairs ain't laughin', no
Don't involve yourself in things they ain't have to know
[Bridge: Buju Banton]
Now here we are
You know I'm not about it
Showed you my all
I let you into my thoughts
[Chorus: Kanye West]
Don't let, don't let the lifestyle drag you down
Who knows when was the last time you felt the love
One last sparkle to follow in my light
One last sparkle to follow in love
One last sparkle to follow in my light
One last sparkle to follow
[Interlude: Buju Banton]
Okay, I didn't throw a fit when you said you wanted to leave
I told you I loved you, but you didn't believe
You were too easily fooled, so easily deceived
By some dude who's more rather into greed
Played by your emotions, you were swamped by your needs
Told me, I didn't believe, you said I was out to deceive, ahaha
You said that I lie, how did I? I told you everything, didn't I?
But you just could not believe, man, I'm so peeved
Your friends all up in your head even when we're in bed
Your mind's elsewhere, and you say you care? Haha
I'm laughin' at you all, you think you got me? No, no
My back ain't against the wall (The wall, the wall, the wall, the wall, the wall)
[Chorus: Kanye West]
Don't let, don't let the lifestyle drag you down
Who knows when was the last time you felt the love
One last sparkle to follow in my light (Right on)
One last sparkle to follow
Wow!
Damn this is some fire production . How crazy is that Lauryn Hill sample . Sheesh
Fr lol
I’m just so glad everyone else likes this as much as me
Same😌
i love it too :)
This song is going to be so nostalgic in 5-10 years…
So underrated. The whole vibe of the song takes me back to 2007. It has that Graduation feel to it.
Jumped out my seat hearing this in the third listening party, I didn’t think it would ever get released. Getting some Graduation vibes.
Fuck, this shit is fire.
this is giving me backpack Kanye vibes.
How have I not heard any of these from the last year??! They’re all so FIRE! And DEEP. Now I’m seeing a bit more why he’s been on such a “PR” tour 🤔😎🥂

I very much appreciate the effort and time put into making this.
I like how the bass feels like you're standing outside of a club.
So much depth to this song! 🚢
There is a party in LA called the Do Over, it has gone quite international, but this song would go OFF there! There is one soon, and would lose it if I hear it.
Lets come back in 2024 and talk about how good this track is!
What a classic!!!
Timeless stuff by mister West.
u have my word. If I don't come back to this comment in 2 years to talk about how lit this song is, slap me across the face.
1 year to go brah
soon
It’s time
Okay
Hands down the best song on the entire album, ang arguably the best song on his last 3 albums
it's not either of those but it's definitely really good
@@FirstNameLastName-pg3pi whelp that how opinions work. But im interested as to what song you think is the best on that album?
@@edawg0 definitely Come To Life and then anything after that can be argued about
@@FirstNameLastName-pg3pi fr come to life is almost untouchable
are we talking about Donda, Jesus is King and Ye? because imo ghost town would be the best out of those 3 but this one is a close second
Fav song on the album, gave me nostalgic vibes because of them good ol Late Registration and Graduation days
this song would fit PERFECTLY on Graduation.
This is euphoric, melancholic, joyful; this is beautiful music.
this song gives me 808s vibes
the first time I listened to this when that interlude comes on with the guy talking I knew in my heart it was gonna go back into the chorus and when it did my fucking mind was blown lmaooo thought it was the best song ever lmaooo good times .
That Doo Wop sample tho, so smooth
Gives me "Stronger" Vibes
I was about to say thisss
Got the same kick almost

“You think you got me? No, no. My back AIN’T against the wall”
*mic drop*
Love that part
This is the kanye i grew up with.
We came a long way from the snippet on Twitter and it’s honestly unbelievable we finally have this song
I was crying when it heard it in Chicago cause I was so sad when I didn’t hear him use it in the first two albums I was like damn he forgot about this ultimate beauty. Then once I heard lauryn I cried because it made me realize what the donda experience really is and that the song is complete and official.
@@chaldoproductions613 bro fuckin same. I remember this snippet from ig. And I was like bruh I guess we'll never hear it again. Then middle of listening to donda you hear the woooooo hoooo hoo hoooooooo. *instant tear*
This is definitely Late Registration Kanye Vibes, from the electric guitar to the flow. If you don’t believe me, listen to the hook from “Heard Em Say”.
But the beat is a clone to Fade from TLOP
@@mikatteba225 the baseline and rhythm is somewhat similar I guess but the chords aren’t similar at all
i feel it sounds more like graduation tbh
Was just thinkin this
The more I listen to this album, the more I love it!
Takes me back the the soul beats era of Kanye's career, so many good memories
