I came here to hear something more interesting than the original (which is fine I guess, just repetitive) and I'm quite pleased! That guitar ostinato in the background at the first section is super cool! All the little ornaments and rhythm changes in the second section of the tune are on point. And the whole second half of the cover where you do your own thing, very nice
Not familiar with Octopath at all but what a wicked cover! Also I'm kinda jealous about how great your guitar tones sounds haha, awesome playing/arranging/mixing as always!
