Some of you are skeptical that this could actually be a good deck, which is a good thing to be! But I wanted to drop some early data in case you don't want to believe me. Here's the data so far for my list and 3 other Nimrod lists that are all similar, all with great winrates and cube rates so far: marvelsnap.pro/decks/galactus-nimrod-dz8b1/, marvelsnap.pro/decks/nimrod-buff-nimrod/, marvelsnap.pro/decks/nimrod-destruction/, marvelsnap.pro/decks/nimrod-galactus-pool-5/. As I write this, those are averaging north of 60% winrates with cube rates above .6, that puts them at very similar numbers to Thanos and Shuri at the top of the meta. Again, as I say in the video, I suspect that will drop as people adapt to Nimrod (and admittedly as worse players start to pilot them), but for now, it's looking really strong. And I'll remind you again as I do in the video, don't buy cards because of one night of data, but do keep an eye on this one.
Just checking in here 14 hours later as you all have put in more data on this one. After 1200+ games, this still sits at a 58.5% winrate with a .73 cube rate. That's still really good. Not quite Tier 1 for winrate, but a nutty cube rate. Happy to see it still holding up with a notable sample size.
I probably helped contribute to those games. I saw you playing this deck on stream and thought I'd try it out. I climbed fairly easily - as it's a fun new deck with a few surprises. I think it's still pretty weak to Thanos/Shuri decks as those players usually take things more seriously so I found that I couldn't get better than a 50% winrate vs. them. But I hit infinite today with this deck (used it go from 70s ish where I started after the season reset) and the best part is you'd get more fist bumps along the way.
Hey Regis! Just wanted to say that I've known you from my Hearthstone times, which I don't currently play anymore, and recently discovered your Marvel Snap videos which I have been loving (both the game and the videos!!) Keep up with the fun and smart gameplay, I reallt enjoy it and thank you for doing so! Also this deck seems really awesome. Would really like to try it out someday when Gallactus and Shuri both join my collection!
I see the sneaky trick you pulled here with card variants Regis. Putting in nifty variants for the opening video, but using base cards in game. Very clever.
I feel if you play arnim with a buffed nimrod it’ll add two cards of him to each other location. But you have to sacrifice the big power buff from destroyer. That is if you don’t have galactus and want to make a deck with nimrod that can still put up big numbers
Arnim Zola onto venom with nimrod already in the leftmost lane is the best bet usually. It triggers nimrod twice as the left lane reveals first and venom gets a ton of power
First time I used Nimrod, I got hit with weird world. Then I got Wong and placed him on Onslaught Citadel. After placing Nimrod in a neutral location, I put The Destroyer down... the lanes were just lousy with Nimrods.
I ran into this deck earlier today (amidst a string of a LOT of Galactus decks...) Luck was on my side, though: with priority, I got to Zola my Shuri'd Nimrod before he revealed his Galactus, leaving me with like 30 power on the lone lane. Sheer luck, though, as the rest of my morning was donating cubes
Because with Galactus. All cards are destroyed at the same time. But animation only shows 1 at a time. You'll also notice, the Hobgoblin and Nakia weren't boosted either
M’Baku is a really really good replacement for Nova; on the turn 6 Galactus play (or destroyer) when your opponent runs the Dark Hawk package, you’re really unlikely to have him in hand. If there is an available space he will jump in for 2 extra power (or 3, with Okaye).
I just want to say that this deck is freaking consistent! Climbed from 45 to 65 in a few hours lol. The new update where it shoots you +5 levels the first time you reach a rank is really good too
The biggest concern I have with this deck is that so many people run Thanos Lockjaw deck with Leech. Knowing from experience by playing the said deck myself that using Leech whenever you can is the absolute best in any situation, people can just keep using ThanosLockjaw and still counter pretty much any deck that will come out with creative Nimrod builds. I really think Leech needs a rework than Thanos himself, buff his states but nurf the effect by affecting one random card in opponent’s hand. I’ve faced a few Nimrod users and they all escaped as soon as Leech came out either from Lockjaw or my hand. I really hope SD makes some changes and make sure when a new Season Pass card comes out, people don’t feel it somewhat meaningless. But then again, as soon as Leech is changed like what I said, I feel like Nimrod is going to be yet again a card that becomes P2W. SD got a big homework in their hand, and I hope they will find a common ground to make sure the card is not too broken but good by the player’s ability to utilize it, not just the sheer effect itself.
If it's a card, people complain about leech, if it's bad they hate that it's clogging up their collection pools, if it's great then people claim it's pay to win. How about you just stop complaining
@@jaradrichards Did you miss the part I said I run the said Thanos deck? If you’re thinking I’m “complaing” because I keep losing to the deck then you’re wrong lol I’m currently taking benefit from running the deck. I’m just saying that currently it’s sad to see that after a new interesting card came out, the meta didn’t really change since the value of Leech in a Thanos Lockjaw is so good.
@@jaradrichards not sure how, the game is a dogshit disaster balance wise at the top it's either play shuri/thanos or be at an EXTREME inherent disadvantage. I think the home for Nimrod is Galactus, but its kinda expensive for most people, there are a lot of fun one out there but Galactus still synergy best with him, hopefully Nimrod can find big success outside of Galactus decks
Okoye/Nakia and the Goblin cards have some negative synergy. I know the deck has a high win rate so far but I’m wondering if one of those cards could possibly be swapped out for something else?
Sure, but the way I see it, the goblins mostly serve as a way to clog up the Galactus lane, so even in the worst case scenario, you're still sending a 0 power Green Goblin, basically a rock that can't be Killmongered, so I feel like it's still worth it in that sense
You should try and fit M'Baku into this deck, was thinking it on your last game where you played Okoye to block the Aero. Okoye gives +1 to M'Baku, then M'Baku jumps out to fill the fourth space.
That is, until you actually use M’Baku without Lockjaw and realise that he’s actively terrible outside of Lockjaw decks, and even in those he’s suboptimal
@@jonathan45564 he's not terrible, just very specific, statistically worse than many other cards. This is a destroy deck though, so if he's pulled early then he's just a sacrifice to the god of death.
Already faced this one. Wasn't expecting Galactus, although should have been. Could have easily won the game with opponent's own Knull. Galactus somehow feels less oppressive than some other decks. It comes down to if you have an answer in time or not. Easy win if you do, easy retreat if you don't.
I actually play a destroy based deck with the carnage and winter soldier package alongside venom to have a pivot of making several 9 powered nimrods possibly 10 powered if we played nova. I also play wave and psylocke to get nimrod out early to buff him with hulkbuster turn 5 and then turn 6 Galactus.
Hey, I want to ask.... Why can't I play my Marvel Snap. After I updated the game, the play button wouldn't appear, season pass(?) and so on. Only the bottom appears (and it doesn't work as it should), I've tried re-downloading the game and it only shows the space animation when I first enter the game. Anyone can help my problem?.
Now hold on one second. The season pass card is broken? No. Way. If these changes to matchmaking isn’t improved substantially, this second chance I’m giving them will be wasted time.

You guys are getting cards? I'm playing for an hour and I'll I get is quirky titles and profiles that I never use.
@@vulcanmemes9770 the titles and avatars have to stop it's gone way passed being a joke at this point.
@@vulcanmemes9770Bro, It is guaranteed. Collection’s Cache has 4 drop which are 1.Tokens 2.Card 3.Cosmetics or Variants 4.Golds or Credits. Once you get something you won’t get it again until you got all these 4 and it’s possible to get card in row or 7 cache later.
@Vulcan Memes when I'm lucky I get a card but it's always a card I have nothing to build around it with or is just I won't use. Fortunately I am yet to get a title because half of them are just shit or unfunny.
Got bodied by this deck before the vid came out
Can you build this deck without buying the cards with cash?
All these amazing decks costs money, which is BS
I think the deck when my opponent is just really easy to play against.
When you see your opponent play either wave/wolverine/electro and a lane is free. It’s usually Galactus. If they do play Galactus on t5 they usually play Knull t6 which opens you up to lose priority and use Shang chi.
Nimrod may have actually been what made the devs remove power from Galactus.
That's silly because removing power from Galactus is a buff
What about all the other content creators who keep getting leeched into oblivion and can't even get their Nimrod off, lol?
You actually were able to play with him? Crazy.
I'd rather not think about other creators trying to "get off" their rods...
@@RegisKillbin fair enough, but here you are putting up vids of you playing with your rod, lolol. :)
Most series 5 cards are ez cubes
