For those of you who are not Indian Citizens, you can still travel upto Tsomgo lake which is en-route Nathula pass.

Anytime other than november mid to february mid is fine to visit Nathula, During december and January there will be heavy snow and the roads are sometimes closed due to the snow
Hey, how did u record a video there? When i went there in 2016, we were instructed to keep all phones and cameras in the car because they weren't allowed...
Are mobiles allowed now?
There are only limited zones with restrictions. Other areas are okay to film. There were no restrictions on mobiles. It would probably depend on many factors like bilateral relations from time to time..
Since it's defence area, we ourselves should follow these guidelines

For a self registered SUV from WB...can we not get the permit in Gangtok to drive upto Nathula....
Outside state registered vehicles are not allowed to nathula pass

its reasonably cold through out the year, at may its manageable, but better to keep woolen clothes with you

Yes, during February you can experience snow at Nathula

CN we go there on own car or bike,outside state registered vehicle
To Nathula, you cannot go by bike
you need to have a suv of sikkim registration

On normal traffic conditions 2 to 2.5 hours approx
