It is not often that a women is named in scripture but Yochabed is named more than once. She is Levis daughter who was born to him in Egypt and she married Levis grandson. So Moshe was both Grandson and Great Grandson of Levi. You mistaking stated that Aaron was the eldest but Miriam was the eldest by a number of years. Aaron was only 3 years older than Moshe so 3.5 when Moshe was placed in the ark whilst Miriam was old enough to watch by the river on her own and chat with the daughter of Pharaoh.
