Brilliant. I have a couple beautiful lamps on my nightstands I received as a Christmas present and can’t reach them from my bed. I really didn’t want to replace them because I need a touch lamp. Now I can have the hubs convert it for me. We are also going to do a kitchen renovation and the cabinet lights idea is so appreciated!

Your lamp works great. How did you do that? I would like to make my lamp work as well. Do you know of a "how to" to make my metal lamp work???

I tried to rewire a television set once, ended up making the television set a flower stand. I can take the bottom cover off my lamp, everything else is kinda cloudy for me. I didn't understand your presentation past when you told me how to take the bottom cover off. Thanks

That is awesome from scratch!....I have one that is a manufactured one now for 2 years, worked fine and all, 3 way touch...but now, it won't stay off for any length of time. So when I do dissect it, what might I be looking for first?

I would replace the entire sensor. Unfortunately, there's not much to repair.
Maybe, the ground connection inside is loose?

My cord is not directional, and can be plugged in and then flipped over and plugged back in. That means this device won’t work for my lamp correct? Because if I wired it black to black if the cord is unplugged and rotated and plugged in the hot would then be neutral.. will it still work? Does it really matter? Or is it a bad idea. I don’t want to change my nice cloth covered cord out..

I noticed that your lamp is painted. Does that matter, or do you need a bare metal spot for touch sensitivity?

You do not need bare metal

Can I wire one to my wallet so when someone touches it it triggers a Z-Wave device that then sends an alert to my phone so I can tell when my wife or kids are taking money out of my wallet? ;)

Hello. Do you have an e-mail address where I can sent you a picture as kindly ask for your support? I have recently purchased and SH RL Queen Lamp. And it seems that the touch is not working even if it has a dimmer/touch sensor. Thank you!
