Dilip Kumar shouted at Dharmendra in their first meeting. This incident happened before Dharmendra made his Bollywood debut and was crazy about Dilip Kumar. Dharmendra came to Bombay to try his luck in films and also decided to go uninvited to Dilip Kumar's Pali Hill Bungalow. This video tells the viewers what happened when Dilip Kumar saw a stranger in his house and what happened to Dharmendra thereafter. For the record, Dharmendra's fascination with Dilip Kumar started when Dharmendra saw the movie Shaheed (1949) starring Dilip Kumar in the lead role.

I had the occasion to meet Dilip Sahap twice at his Bungalow in the early 90s and beleive me he was a very very warm personality.. Even saira banu ji was there looking for her passport.. 🙏.. Much earlier in my life being a resident of Chembur got to sit on stage with Mithun da, Dharmendra sahab, Kiran Kumar and many others like Madhuri.. Those were the days when a certain individual like Baba Rodriguez would arrange a cricket match with Mithun Da.
