    These are excellent tips. While in graduate school I worked as a casualty adjuster for a major insurance company. I’ve used all of these tactics, particularly “Higher Authority”. These tactics are not only useful but it’s important to recognize when they are being used on you during negotiations.

    I did a pro se mediation negotiation, and the defendants opened with $500. The final settlement was about 70 times that. I just about ended the mediation immediately.

    One must keep in mind that the advice is given for nothing and therefore not complain about coarseness.

    We get paid so little we do not care, we just need to hear one simple reason to increase our offer, solely for the purpose of documentation. The insurance company needs us to document every settlement increase and why. We aren’t making money like attys are.

    Lawyer
    Lie about how much you really think
    Lie about the reason for for changing amount
    Lie about who is making the decision.
    It’s a wonder why lawyers have a bad reputation.
    I wound suggest listening to Chris Vos instead.

    • @stevehuggett2098
      @stevehuggett2098 16 дней назад

      Sorry, I'm just wondering which vaccine caused you to "lose ýour job", and how?
      Before going into combat, we received a catalogue of vaccines, in the hope we'd be resistant to diseases endemic to those theatres. I was excluded from donating blood, having received an anti-malarial, and Anthrax inoculations, prior to deployment, but the fact these antigens were present in my blood thereafter, is a reasonable cause for exclusion, when my blood posed a possible risk to critically ill patients.
      I cannot, however, even imagine what vaccine might be cause for you to LOSE YOUR JOB !
      Can you help me to figure this out, or are you just a mendacious 'anti-vaxer', trying to earn points with your ridiculous movement.
      I would point out, vaccines against Polio, Smallpox, Diphtheria, influenza, and a catalogue of other diseases have helped to quell, or have EXTERMINATED diseases, over the years since their development and widespread use.
      Unless you can prove cause that receiving a vaccine was a legitimate reason for you being fired, I'm calling 'BS' on your assertion.
      Please don't take this personally, I assure you I'm well aware of how politics can cause some to utter inanities, in the desperate hope a partisan point can gain traction. Sometimes, among the gullible, easily influenced, and uneducated, that tactic works, but better informed, and intelligent individuals are not so easily fooled.
      PROOF please; or issue a retraction !
