Hi Rachel ! Just wanted to tell you that I absolutely LOVE your videos ! I like how genuine you are : no fuss, no superficiality, no bragging ! After I have watched a video from you, I feel empowered. I know I have gained a bit of self-confidence and freedom deep inside : a better trust in my body unexpected strength, resistance and adaptability, and a lot of gratitude towards the beautiful nature around me, that up to now I really enjoyed only in the summer time. Before my discovery of the cold swimming benefits, I saw spring as the "not yet" season, and autumn as the "no longer" one. And I hated winter, lol. Now my horizon has widened tremendously : spring and autumn are now my most interesting seasons because I can SWIM in the wild when everyone else avoids it ! 😄 And what is more : I feel better than ever ! Thank you. 💜

Wow Bernadine! What an incredible message. You are really taking it on a winning. There are so many delights for those of us that venture out on or in the water over the cooler months and it's so special. So thrilled you are along for the wild ride x

Good to see you're back! I've been missing your videos, especially the adventurous ones. Like Mary I've never heard of magnet fishing before but I'm sure it's possible to catch some very interesting items. Looking forward to many more swim centred adventures.

Thanks Chris, we had a super time. It was fun putting all of the activities together, especially as the magnet fishing did not require much daylight to get going!

You and Ali are always doing something fun… my kinda gals!! I have never heard of magnet fishing… not to state the obvious but here in the wilds of northern 🇨🇦 we fish for… fish. The scootering looked like a blast!! As you know, I’m fascinated by those narrow boats. Thanks for the tour of your floating abode. The swim seemed refreshing and fun… how cool it is to see you back in the water once again. (Yes, cool in every sense of the word.) I’ve never seen or done geocaching but I was wondering if the clue “hanging a-round” could be interpreted to look for something that is hanging and round (in shape)? Just thinking out loud on that one. Thanks for the great video today, Rachel. I always love seeing what you’re up to… and the sound of the water was super stimulating. Us water people just love that sound!! Have a great rest of the week. PS - the lakes are still open here, but not for long. The wind is bitter and the temperatures have been below freezing for a few days in a row. I’m not mentally ready for winter just yet. There is lots of wildlife still out and about… I don’t think the critters are ready for winter either!! Ⓜary💦🦫❄

Hey Mary, good to hear from you. I expect the lakes are finally starting to freeze over now. The temperature is dropping, but we are having quite weird weather this autumn - lots of rain but not that cold yet. It's odd. New video for your delectation with plenty of scenery! Hope you like it. Rach x

You should! It was fun. And you clean rubbish out of the waterway at the same time. The number one rule tho is that if you pull it out you have to dispose of it.

We have a very large magnet but I havent actually used it for fishing because I suspect if it gets stuck I would eventually just have to abandon it. I have heard of people covering the magnet to make it easier to pull it off if needs be. Love the swimming!

A guy we met who was magnet fishing said that he has lost one or two over his time, and that you always have to be prepared for that. We got them stuck a couple of times but we managed to get it off. Go on, brave it!
