In all my years here, on campus, I have never seen a level of brotherhood between young man than this team. They are a driving force behind one another and fully committed to backing each other up on such a level that makes team 136 a team for the ages here at ND. In the past, despite Notre Dame, having some good teams, there has never been such a high elite level of talent, an opportunity between so many young men. You better I’m excited and believe they can take care of the journey and finish the mission this season. As a fan base, we should embrace this opportunity and back these young men up thick and thin!
Freeman has this team going in the right direction. Go Irish!

I wish coaches could prepare their teams like they used to be able to. The stories of ex players under Lou Holtz is the perfect example. He would’ve had this team ready for 8/31/24. Our bodies are capable of so much more than we realize.

I know everyone including myself can't wait for the season to start and am trying to stay positive. However, I am going to speak a couple hard truths, if we want to start winning national championships at Notre Dame. I like Freeman and he is doing a lot of good things with the program and I believe he has it heading in the right direction. However, with that being said, the recruiting has to get better! God forbid, if we lose Deuce Knight! However, if we do, then we can forget making the top 10, we might not even make the top 20! That is not good enough! Even Brian Kelly never finished outside of the top 15 or so. Speaking of Kelly, as much as it pains me to say this, he has been out recruiting Freeman just about every year at LSU. A couple classes were real close, but from a recruiting ranking standpoint Kelly has had the better classes. Freeman and this coaching staff have to do better because this is becoming a yearly trend with Freeman and his staff. They start strong in the top 3 and then down the stretch we lose key battles and get our top guys flipped, meanwhile we can never flip any top players of any importance. Then we slowly falter down the stretch, while watching the Georgia's, Alabama's, Ohio State's and Oregon's of the world, stack 5 star player upon 5 star player down the stretch, when it matters the most! Finally, on top of all of that, we have 6 win teams such as the Auburn's and Miami's of the world, who have far worse records than Notre Dame and don't even finish in the same vicinity as ND and they are out recruiting Notre Dame, from a recruiting ranking standpoint. They don't let a record excuse hold them back from doing what they need to do, to land top talent. Notre Dame being a blue blood and top storied program with rich tradition and having just about every game nationally televised, with their own NBC package, among many other things, such as top education and a top football program with the most championships etc... should speak for itself. Maybe Freeman isn't the recruiter we all thought he was. I am beginning to start to wonder myself. The Bottom line is, the recruiting and the product both on and off of the field, has got to get better because right now, it just isn't good enough!! I really hope this is the season Freeman turns it around! Go Irish! God Bless!!

Amil Wagner could be the most significant player in terms of offensive development. He has freakish athleticism, but seemed a bit undersized. If he's legit 290 lbs, as he is listed, he could be a huge building block toward a top offense.

It pains me to say this, but Kelly has out recruited Freeman every year at LSU, from a recruiting ranking standpoint! Sadly, we can dislike it all we want, but facts are facts! It simply just isn't good enough! Freeman has had nothing but a 9 and a 10 win season so far, not even finishing in the floor, but in the basement of what was expected for his first two seasons. I like Freeman, but the bottom line is, Recruiting and the product both on and off of the field just isn't good enough! It has to get better! Not good enough! We are not going to win national championships, if we keep getting out recruited by all the big boys, such as the Alabama's, Georgia's, Ohio State's and Oregon's of the world and even 6 win programs like Auburn, Miami, Texas A&M etc... They are all landing 5 star after 5 star players down the stretch, when it counts the most, while Freeman and his staff does what it has done best since they got here, lose key battles and get our top guys flipped down the stretch when it counts most, while we can't seem to ever flip any top players of any importance! Freeman usually starts strong in recruiting, usually in the top 3 and then every year just falters down the stretch and either falls out of the top 10, or just about falls out of the top 10! This happens every year since Freeman has become head coach. We get our top guys flipped all the time and we can't flip any top players of importance. I don't like to bring these things up, but we cannot Ignore these important issues that keep happening and is becoming almost a yearly trend! It has to get better Freeman!!
