The Fembots were terrifying to me when I was a kid. The reveal was so creepy and Lindsey played it so well. I loved her vulnerability. I remember worrying about her when she jumped from the window and her bionics short-circuited. Doomsday is Tomorrow was another one that scared me as a child, especially the part where she hears the snakes because I'm also petrified of them. I'm really looking forward to you covering season 3.
17:28 you mentioned SPACE 1999.. Wow, i vividly remember got myself ready on the couch waiting for the show to start in 1977... Somehow always thinking to myself, would we have spaceship full of people like that later in 1999? Would we have Maya in 1999? Those were the fun days
11:42 What? Sister Jaime was a GREAT episode! Jaime cleverly becomes popular with all the nuns, confronts Rev. Mother, project manages the plan to catch the crooks; diverting the crooks, the bishop and Oscar to be at the right place at the right time, and saves the winery from being given to the monks. Plus shows the Rev Mother how a true leader leads with kindness 😉
Season 2 is my favorite! I love the fembot music! I was scared of the night demon as a child. Deadly ringer is my favorite acting of Lindsays throughout the series!!
She can't even stay incognito as an agent, poor thing! It's interesting just how quickly that whole tennis pro angle goes away and never gets mentioned again. Good thing she got her teaching certificate, right?
i don't believe it was this season, but "Brainwashed" was a good one too! I am into electronics projects, and the Salon owners "Hypnotic hairdryer" system always fascinated me ,as it would be easy to build something like this. I even drew up a schematic for it one time. Piece of cake!
What a great video! I was so entertained! I loved Bionic Woman as a kid and like all 70s shows, it's very cheesy. But you gave it such a fair review giving leeway to the different era and what was entertaining in the 70s. I was searching for a review of season 3 but I don't see it. I hope NBC didn't make you remove it! I remember that being my favorite as a kid because of the dog Max. But I wonder how it held up over the decades. Likely not well, lol. Thanks for such a fun video!
Lindsey Wagner is so charming, beautiful and warm, and she could jump really high and bend steel bars in this role. I loved it as a kid. Forgot she she won an Emmy!
For the narrator who mentioned that he was forced to watch the Grand Old Opry as a kid by his parents and thus developed a strong dislike for country music... I feel your pain. I too had to listen to a insufferable degree this genre of music. And the music in this episode of the Bionic Woman and the singing was equivalent to listening to two cats being strung over a clothesline. Yeah it was a tragedy. Not the show, i loved the show. But the singing,, thank God Lindsey Wagner never released an album, and stuck to her day job, acting.
What made the series was Lindsay. Another actress would've tanked it. Her acting is excellent, and she was stunning. She has spoken of making Jaime more relatable than Steve, as she was a woman, and you could see it. We all ate it up. The faults- again, anyone would know her, she was just too striking, and she was always cutting herself open in front of strangers to get hot current, but swearing them to silence. That isn't how the government works, lol The Nashville episode was painful- someone should have said no to that. The best episode was with the computer, bar none. Just the Bionic Woman and the Super-computer- still, she won. She also was never violent toward people or animals unless she had to be. Everyone wanted that life, lol
As a massive fan of the show, I thought this was a fair review of the season I consider to be one of TV's greatest seasons of any show. (Kill Oscar is my absolute favorite!) Nice video, I'll be checking out more! (And some ideas for future videos: how about Charlie's Angels?)
Whew, CHARLIE'S ANGELS is going to be an investment of time... I'd be more likely to do that as a single video rather than breaking it down by season, simply because there's so much of it. Would that be satisfactory? Thank you for the suggestion!
Love the lighthearted look at this amazing series. One little tip for when you do season three; it’s Jaime, not Jamie! ☺️ Apart from that I really enjoyed your reviews on season one and two! Great job!
@@PlanetChris1962 I actually needed to take a break from that show for a bit, so I'm currently working on a video for RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE APES before going back to finish up with Jaime. But as soon as I get done with this one, which is 3/4s of the way done, I'll turn to working on that one!

I watched all the bionic woman and the six million dollar man as a kid back in the 70's and i enjoyed them both. When the six million dollar man season was over then came the bionic woman. Nice review on this show but it's best to remember them in the way we watched them back then as innocent kids back in the days of the 70's.
Ellery Queen was much more my late sister's show than mine, so that one might be harder for me to revisit, but Hardy Boys...oh, yes. :) Thanks for the suggestion!
I gave this season a 5 out of 5. What the host of this video, didn't care for, I didn't have anything against, like the Italian suiter acquaintance reappearing after appearing in the previous season. And I actually do happen to like country music and liked watching Jamie poses as country singer. But with all the stuff that did receive praises from the host of this video, I do give this video a thumbs up.
As a huge fan of the show and Lindsay Wagner, I want to thank you for your entertaining review of the first two seasons. I hope a review of season three will soon be posted. Imho...it was a travesty that ABC canceled this show and that it only lasted one season on NBC. I suppose with any show, especially one breaking new ground, it definitely needed more seasons for "good" episodes to be more consistent. I believe the 3rd reunion movie "Bionic Ever After" should have been made into a series of its own...kind of a Bionic "Heart to Heart". 🤔Now I can even see a comedy-drama being made staring Lee and Lindsay...maybe call it "Still Bionic". Yes did I mention I am a fan...😉 Looking fwd to the 3rd season review. Thanks again. P.S. Your reviews of these shows made me a subscriber.
Thank you for that! I'm really glad you became a subscriber, and I really do hope that when I finally put up the review for Season Three you'll stick with us. I'm working on the script right now, in fact, while editing a review of RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE APES. (I needed a break from the bionics, to be honest.) Still wish Lindsay had gotten the part of Janeway on VOYAGER, though!
Hey, everyone - just letting you know that this video may or may not be taken down in the coming weeks. NBC/Universal has been jerking my chain for days now over copyright claims on clips included in this episode. I thought that, given the original claim centered on only one clip, it would be easy enough to dispute, as I normally do, and the claim would be lifted. That has not been the case this time. Not only did NBC/Universal refuse to lift the claim upon reviewing my dispute, they added a NEW clip to the list when I went in to edit the original one out - and now that the original clip has been edited out, there's now a THIRD clip that is suddenly appearing in their claims. I don't know who's at fault on this one - whether RUclips's system is not displaying all of the claimed clips at once as it usually does, or whether NBC/Universal is not playing fair by going back in and claiming new clips each time - but either way, it's making keeping this video up in its current form a big headache. I'll keep trimming away at the clips for now, but there will eventually come a moment when they claim one that is vital to the review, one which I won't want to clip out, and if I do a new dispute at that point, the video will be taken down, and the channel will get a copyright strike. If that happens, I'll find some other way to post it, either on Vimeo or what have you. But if that does happen, I will NOT be reviewing any shows that NBC/Universal holds the rights to. There's no excuse for this, and if RUclips doesn't have my back (because, let's be real, of course they don't), then there's no need to put this much work into a video only to not be able to show it at all. I'd love to hear your feedback on this, but for now, enjoy the video in its current form. If this gets removed, I'll post any updates via video. Thank you all, and stay groovy! EDIT: The appeal was not challenged, so this video is now good to go! Thank you, everyone!
I gravitated to this season when the blu-ray came out. So many classics and even "Doomsday is Tomorrow" holds up better than it should due to texhnology marching on. The blu-ray quality was very good, but was missing some reunion movie content. If you're not into them, go for it for sure. If anything, Jaime did bigger jumps and didn't end up with bionic rejection or turning into mush or anything in the fembot story. It didn't take me out of it, but it was a headscratcher. Loved the Lost in Space tube prop reuse too...
Another reason why ABC canceled BW was budget. Kenneth Johnson said the network was always incensed with how this show was always coming in one day late and overbudget. It was decided that ABC would keep just one bionic show and since SMDM was going into its fifth season, that would produce a decent syndication package EVEN if they had to drop Lee Majors who was in the midst of a contract dispute with ABC.
Love your review on The Bionic Woman. My least favorite episode is the very last one where a man blackmails Jaime after he discovers her Bionic powers. Worst episode along with the Night Demon. All other episodes I like with Kill Oscar and Big Foot 2 parters and the 2 parters with Jaime being mistaken for Lisa Galloway (emmy winning episodes) being my sentimental favorites. I also love your review on the new adventures of Wonder Woman. I like to see one in the near future on Police Woman with Angie Dickinson if possible. You mentioned Police Woman on your review of the episode Jaime and the shield which I have to agree on. Great reviews on both Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman.👍👍
@@emperordalek If you are not familiar with Police Woman, I understand. I am grateful for your EXCELLENT reviews on Wonder Woman and Bionic Woman. Never mind the Police Woman reviews. Review the shows you know and love growing up. That's what really matters.
A great review! I completely agree on the hits, but not necessarily on the misses. I like In This Corner. It’s light and fun, and I love Marcia Lewis, who was on everything in the 70s. I really wish they hadn’t gone in the ET direction. Big Foot, and those awful season 3 outer space eps just didn’t fit the series. BW was about tech and espionage. ETs are a different genre. I do make an exception for the Vega Influence because it was about a primitive alien life, not one wearing a chartreuse jumpsuit. I’m glad you like Black Magic. Every 70s show did the haunted house episode and this one was great. It should’ve been a two-parter to take advantage of that cast and setting. They also used Bionic Bach in Doomsday, where it also made no sense. These eps frequently had some plot holes. Like how did people not recognize Jaime from her tennis days? She was said to have been nationally ranked and tennis was everything in the 70s. And who called 911 when Jaime leapt from Callahan’s window and who knew to contact Oscar and Rudy?
I completely agree with you about the implausibility of Jamie not being recognized every time she goes out of the house. It doesn't help matters that she almost always uses her own name when she is undercover! And can you imagine what that 911 call would have sounded like? Dispatch: 911, what's your emergency? I doubt anyone would have called. Given what we learn about her bionics next season, maybe Rudy got an alert somehow that her systems were danaged? Anyway, thanks for the comment, and for watching!
I can find something good in every episode, but I agree with your skip list. Although I do enjoy "In This Corner, Jaime Sommers" for the humor. I vote for a Charlie's Angels review.
I actually liked that one too, but not quite enough to put it into the top three. Wagner is lovely in that clip, isn't she? As for CHARLIE'S ANGELS...that's a whole nother rabbit hole, but I'll give it a look!
Why does it always have to be snakes?? :)) Also, being a Westworld fan, I loved the Fembots, and John Saxon's android too! It's just too bad they didn't get Yul Brynner on the show! ;)
Steve Austin, the Hulk, and Wonder Woman....would not rip the face off the fembot....and then give a terrified repulsed look like a 5 year old girl. Scared to death. That is the difference between Jamie Summers struggle between a fragile young woman coping with her life with super powers.
I quite liked Jamie and the King. For me there were far worse episodes like the singing one you mentioned and the one with Rene Auberjonois as the french painter The worst was the last ep which was nothing more than a goofy comedy ep. Some of these 70s and 80s shows finished weakly unlike the later shows of the 90s onwards which spend more money for a barnstorming finale

Also, being a Westworld fan, I loved the Fembots, and John Saxon's android too! It's just too bad they didn't get Yul Brynner on the show! ;)
Great video. I have not seen this show, so this was very interesting. Thanks for uploading.
And thank you for watching!
"Wtf, Man?" Lol
It came out in mid sixties Lou friggin must have been 18 or 19 working out he began working out what 16 i think
Please do CHARLIE'S ANGELS
Steve Austin, the Hulk, and Wonder Woman....would not rip the face off the fembot....and then give a terrified repulsed look like a 5 year old girl. Scared to death. That is the difference between Jamie Summers struggle between a fragile young woman coping with her life with super powers.
Where,s the 8track tapes it,s 1976 that,s was A.I. ... no download fees to pay fresh from the recording studio
I quite liked Jamie and the King. For me there were far worse episodes like the singing one you mentioned and the one with Rene Auberjonois as the french painter
The worst was the last ep which was nothing more than a goofy comedy ep. Some of these 70s and 80s shows finished weakly unlike the later shows of the 90s onwards which spend more money for a barnstorming finale
Did you know tad Cassidy started on japanese monster movie with bigger bigfoots but didn't have full beard but just bottom one but like Raymond Burr that started on two Godzilla movies there was green gargantua called green gira and brown one sanda one green one loufriggno and other like you said lurch on Adams family looked like lurch too except hair on body loufriggno still looked bullish face and all but green hair as well as muscle film is called war of the gargantuas gira and sanda good movie on RUclips those two nephilium Edom bigfoot 70 feet tall
Hold on: You're saying Ted Cassidy was in War of the Gargantuas (1970) ?? That is incorrect.
Fembots scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid. I became totally obsessed with them. I kind of still am. I would love tp have a fembot t-shirt.
ABC had some of the best shows in the 70's, but it seems like the dopes running the network had no idea what a good thing they had.
Here it is right here 5wo big foot one by tad Cassidy which same one that played bionic nephilium big foot on six million dollar man and one on japanese movie the blonde haired one green one by Loufriggno right here maybe doing shows even about these now and Ultraman series like spectruman ultra seven Ultraman of 60s and again in seventies short time In 90s etc well here's this one
All this work and you can't spell her name - it's JAIME.
Noted. Apart from that, how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
@@emperordalek I thoroughly agree with your top three.
Binge worthy!
I watched 2001 a space odyssey and I literally was bored senseless from it.... Doomsday 1 - 2 were much better.
Outros tempos, outras ideias, todo mundo ali; hoje nas séries, outro mundo com uma idolatria absurda por beleza, juventude, dinheiro e status... Uma chatisse.
Bruh feels that im surrounding with Some women nextbots... 🤢
The themes, beginning and ending, are some of the most epic tv themes ever. I think your commentary is robotic and lacking in charisma but I’m not going to speak for everyone’s ears and proclaim it a “no, just no.” Get some taste.
I completely missed out on viewing this as a kid in the 70's, (and forgot about it for decades) never saw any reruns and now recently purchased all 3 seasons to enjoy and go back to the mid 70's and forget the 2020's for a while. A Very informative and entertaining review....🦾
