- New error coins to find - $1 coin Book 7 Ep24
I find coins & I collect coins.
Australia has some of the best looking coins on the planet.
Our standard coins are classics of animal depictions.
Our commemoratives are World class and world leading.
Join me as I noodle through Australian $1 coins looking complete full sets of commemorative coins, rare coins and coins that can be worth more than face value.
This is an ongoing series of coin hunting where I sort through $1 coins looking for all the commemorative coins issued for circulation since the introduction of the $1 coin in 1984.
Watch and follow me as I complete a full commemorative coin set.
And if you want to support me, Buy me a coffee to help run the channel.

Awesome keepers there Philly! The NIFC is a surprising pick up.
3 spew roos on the 3rd kangaroo is absolutely top notch. Very well done.
Amazing hunt. Good for you 😊
Thanks Yoav,
The Swans coin was a great find.
And very surprised to find 3 of the same type of error in the small amount of KCIII rolls I had.
G'day Phill, great $1 hunt, nice KCIII roo cuds, awesome NIFC Swans coin, cool proof coin and nice bunch of commemorative keepers, interesting that you only picked up 1 GACH3 coin, I feel like these coins are drying up now as I don't find many these days, I haven't done a noodle for several days, I will try my luck tomorrow. Cheers Peter J 😂👋✌🙏👍
Hi Peter,
Yes, they are getting scarce on the ground these days.
Good luck with your noodle.
Always great to see you find NIFCs, whilst watching I actually found one myself! It's a standard German 50 euro cent which weren't minted for circulation between 2004 and 2022. This one's from 2008, but sadly its rather ugly and damaged. But with a mintage of just 70,000 I wont complain! :D
Excellent Alrik.
Yes, finding an NIFC coin is always a thrill.
Even if they are not in great condition.👍
Hi Phil, I have only just started coin collecting since I was handed over a whole heap of coins when my sister in law passed away and my brother is now in a home and he passed the coins to me. Now I'm hooked and watching for coins all the time. I don;t know who to show them to for valuation. cheers
Thanks Zita,
Sounds like you have a ready made collection.
That's great.
If it is a large collection then maybe buy a valuation book that covers all of the types of Australian coins, like Renniks books.
And then take a selection to local coins shop for review.
Nice finds there Phil. You noodle some of the best coins for sure! Cheers and Happy CNY 😊🧧
Thanks Send.
You too.
New to the channel phil, just watch the whole episode and new to coin collecting. Grats on the finds and subbed now too..
I started collecting when i was given a round 50 cent in change at the servo, and since then have been collecting only what given in change but do like the hunt of it all.
Matt.
Thanks Matt.
Welcome to the channel.
That's a great way to collect.
I do say on the channel, You collect the way you want to.
I hope that you can you my videos to help identify all the different coins that you can get in change.
Good luck.
NICE Bum Bag on that Roo Phil. cheers. Stephen.
It is,
Have you got one yet Stephen?
Not yet Phil I'm still on the hunt Buddy.@@PhilFindsCollects
That was a very good hunt indeed. King charles coins disappeared within a week or so over my way. I was lucky enough to get a couple rolls and Gary Mc sent me two rolls and they had small cuds on some. I have only ever found 1 afl team coin.
Still some KCIII rolls banging about here Wisey.
That was my first team coin too.
Hi Phil great hunt , nice nifc😊 always on the lookout for new and different cuds so nice pickup there. My last hunt with 50c I picked up a aiatsis, 2 x 2020's, 2 x cof , 2 x language, 3 x marbos and 4 x 2019 irb's . $300 hunt. Plenty still out there. Happy noodling buddy😊😊😊
What a great Noodle result Gary.
I've been very surprised at what cuds i have found so far on the KCIII.
Still haven't seen a rabbit ear though.
Good video , got some excellent finds 👍
Glad you enjoyed
Great video Phil. I enjoy watching you find these coins. I have some of the BIG one's but not all of course - still looking. I have been collecting coins and banknotes since I was 13 years old and I am 60 years old, it's not a huge collection as I did stop for several years but I am now collecting all the commemorative and coloured coins I come across. Thanks for your channel and I have already subscribed.
Thanks for watching.
Great that you've been able to keep it going,
I hope you enjoy the content.
Hi Phil I’m new to the coin collecting through my mums collection I began putting a lot of commemorative coins away with hers as mum has said that I will get them when sh3s ready to give them up to me including my pops coins I have come across a 20 c coin I believe is an error as never seen it before it’s a 2021 the queens crown actually touch3s the A in Australia also has a dot between the II and the Australia let me know if possible what you think
Very cool Tracy,
I wish you luck with your collecting.
Sound like you might have found a possible error.
One way to check is to compare your coin with a few others from the same year.
That coin is not a proof coin. Look at the low points of the raised design. They're not frosted. Proof coins of that era had frosted raised design. The coin is from an uncirculated set.
Thank you Chucky.
I will review.
Hi Phil, I've watched today's session of $1 coins, I have a fair few of those in my collection, I would like to know their value, how do I go about finding out pls.
If you are new to the hobby and you have a lot to go through, making a list and having a local coin shop review the list could work.
And a list could also be good if you dont have a local shop and you have to go to the internet to find someone to ask.
Where do these other channels get their crazy prizes like 700000 dollars for a jubilee it's laughable, you are very informative 😊 🙏
Good question!
It’s just insane
I feel for the people who get suck in.
Why do people in Australia call die chips cuds when in America cuds are on the rim of the coin ?
Just a technicality i think.
Both could be used i suppose.
Your first year of the older person looked rotated.
Slightly Mick,
But not enough for me to keep
I’m a newbie coin hunter 😊Could you (or someone) tell me why circulated 1996s are selling for thousands on eBay? I can’t see any errors or reason why? What am I missing?
Hi Lisa-Maree
Thanks for the question.
Few points
1. Its not worth anything like the amount asked.
2. None have been sold at anything like that price.
3. EBay sellers can ask any price they want for their items, it doesn't mean that they are worth it.
At the most an uncirculated one of these should be worth around $5 . I pick up these in virtually every hunt and it only ever costs me $1.
Thanks for reminding people to do their own research when looking to complete their own collections.
@@PhilFindsCollects thank you so much, it’s throws a newbie off when you see those prices, and can’t find any information as to why. Thank you for helping me learn 😊
So many feds none rotated 😢
I Know.
Such a big Stack.
❤
Thanks Smartfizi
I just am not sure if the 2021 20c is meant to be like that with the crown touching the A or not
Tracey, I went and had a look at my uncirculated sets.
The crown on those coins is REALLY close to the lettering, Really close.
And there should be a circular dot between the Queens name and Australia.
@@PhilFindsCollects ok thought about it after I sent this thinking oh damn it really does look normal killing my excitement lol the 1937 one crown and I also have the 1927 coin are they really worth money or have I heard wrong about those two coins
@@traceycarter5265 Well the 1937 Crown can usually be worth $50 to $90 depending on condition.
You'll have to tell me what kind of 1927 coin you have for me to find out what it might be worth.
@@PhilFindsCollects hi Phil wow and to think I can’t remember who I watch3d and said that it was worth thousands along with the 1927 and now you’re saying i5s in the dollars not thousands you’ve showed me now to not believe everyone on here regarding price lol
@@PhilFindsCollects the 1927 my mum has them put away in safe but think it has the 1927 in like a scroll thing again same guy said was in the thousands too I’ll take photos and put them here and show you here when i can get them out again later today maybe thank you they’re both in what I’d maybe call in fair condition considering their age I’ll have to wait and see what you say
Hi have a few 2016 looking to trade for honey bee
