Spiritius Systems vs RDR Gear Micro Chest Rig Comparison

- A comparison of 2 similar micro chest rigs from 2 different companies. One by Spiritius Systems and the other by RDR Gear. Personally i feel the RDR is superior due to it's front pocket layout and that you get the mag shingles and pocket flaps with the rig for one price. Whereas Spiritius Systems you have to buy them all individually driving up the cost in the end.

This is the only review ive found on the RDR setup. Will be buying for my PC with a dangler and some side TQ bands. Awesome job!
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last few weeks :)
@Zyaire Heath Yea, I have been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself =)
@Zyaire Heath Definitely, I've been using instaflixxer for since november myself =)

Great comparison on two very similar micro rigs. Was contemplating getting the spiritus systems, but now you got me wanting the rdr. Thanks for putting it on my radar. Keep it up!
Thank You for the info
Thanks for the heads up. Been waiting on SS to stock multicam black for ever. I also run the slickster. Looks like I'm going RDR
Breeze Mccaig There gear is solid. They carry multi-black. And you won’t be disappointed. Keep me updated how you like it. Underrated gear with outstanding reality.
I have several of both, and will continue to switch between them. RDR just released a limited run of aor1 and aor2 if you're into that kind of thing.
I'm actually friends with the guy from titantac innovations. That's cool.
Also your lighting makes the SS rig look like coyote brown, not ranger green! Weird
My lighting sucks i know lol. I just wished him well as he gets ready to ship off to basic training.
@@bigbluemsp he is gonna make an awesome ranger!
I have reached a verdict. All while Spiritus is a great company, I will only give my impressions on RDR Gear. It is a great deal as to what they offer. Now, this- if you decide you are going to go with Spiritus, be committed or you'll have pieces of gear around you that will be incomplete and or mix-matched. The prices and expenses are obvious, you will spend more on SS and not so much on RDR. I have found almost all SS out of stock and RDR will at times make your order hand-made when ordering it, I have a placard (I ordered accidentally and will use in my flatpack) and their chest rig. It is an awesome piece of gear as the video compares. Granted- the biggest issue or stance is that the SS has a big pocket in front while the RDR has two separate ones in front, but nonetheless majority of people still separate the SS. RDR is a great company as i mentioned and the bang for buck is crazy great. I've seen men spend $200+ on spiritus which is worth every penny and RDR can be as low as $120 with everything. I cannot complain. I love my RDR and the man behind the company has a great vision- go support. I accidently bought the placard and did not return because at the end it's still supporting a good co. although I may never use the placard since I do not run a pc yet.
I still prefer having a choice of changing up my setups for my daily use and range use, some days I carry more pistol mags, some days a combo of M16 mags, or MP5 mags, and the RDR is nice if you prefer to have a fixed setup. Based on experience with the Spiritus Systems MK4 mainly because I need to have that level of interchangeable setups for different operations. Good review and recommendation though.
you can literally change the rdr the exact same way as a micro rig
He's finishing up work on subgun inserts as we speak. Thats should improve modularity.
If you're still using the RDR, most big fabric stores have gromets of different sizes that might help with the drainage issue.
Good video. I've been interested in the RDR chest rig.
Yeah but the spiritus system rig is more changeable
Good review man.
1. Does the RDR MSP hang lower as a placard than the Spiritus MK4? It appears the space b/t the bottom of the buckles and top of placard is longer.
2. Are all 4 attachment points for the chest rig conversion the same size? On the RDR MCP, the bottom attachment points use a larger buckle. On the MSP all 4 look the same size.
Same size buckles as on the SS they're standard Quasm buckles. It hangs about the same as the SS does from the top.
Just got mine with the straps to😊
wish i had seen this before i got a Spiritus oh well i’ll just have two micro rigs
What was the lead time on your order?
(Sorry if said it in the video.)
About 3 weeks the spiritus i waited about 2 months to come back in stock
Question for you: so that's the RDR MCP right? And the top buckles fit standard Swift clips? I want a set up than can be chest rig and placard, depending on what I want. It seems to fit that but I want to be sure
yah itll work
Hi great vid. Im currently looking into these 2. Are the mag insert between the 2 interchangeble?i need the smg inserts but like the rdr chest rig better.
He's in the process of creating a smg insert as we speak. But no not interchangeable
@@bigbluemsp bummer. Spiritus been out of stock for so long. I like the form factor of rdr i was gona order the smg insert from spiritus for rdr but oh well -_- thanks for quick reply! =)
He's still working on the subgun inserts. About done with them from what i understand.
Great review Brother. RDR makes some good stuff!

You said Spirtitus did many people wrong. I disagree bro. The concept behind the mk4 chassis was user configurability. Maybe I need AR mags 4-6 running up front. Maybe I need more room for EOD or Breaching gear. Mission sets change. I have an active shooter PC and a whole other PC for SRT/SWAT. One set of kit would be a whole hell of a lot easier to mess with. And the current price for the RDR pouch is $160 which I was honestly super bummed about. Both are great products, one is more user configurable. Just my two cents... stay safe out there.
120 for the plate carrier version, 160 for the harness set up. For my use the split pockets are a huge plus. I get what you're saying bro. Be Sure
BigBlueMSP my bad it was a quick glance. I’m super interested in RDR’s abdominal pouch. It’s designed around the IPOK. My agency hands those out like candy. Can’t wait!
can the fat straps from spiritus work on the RDR gear placard?
No
Still loving the rdr gear? Looking to get one
Very much so. It's my only go to Placard.
BigBlueMSP awesome, been wanting a micro chest rig setup and spiritus is always sold out
justingrosskopf Get the RDR chest rig. QVO offers a 10% discount
@@anjelmunoz804 What is the Discount Code? I tried putting "QVO" with no success.
harvey heart QVO10
Still works
Base items are $30 difference bro, Spiritus is cheaper base. Even in your comparison at $150 the Spiritus has twice the storage because of the hanger. Try again
You can't count the hanger and at the time of the video that's what the price differences were
@@bigbluemsp But you did the review with the hanger and included it in the price...
@@bryanscle5431 the hanger is not included with the micro rig at all it a separate item you Velcro on its an extra 70ish bucks
comms in the front pouch? lol
Yes you can do that. No rules where to put items.
how long did it take the RDR to arrive?
About a month. He does them in batches and makes extra so if you order when you see he's done a bunch you'll get it right away.
I ordered his limited run of aor1 and aor2 a couple days ago and it'll be here tomorrow. Three days total, two days in transit.
@@bigbluemsp though one of the days was sunday, so two days total.
Does it come with the straps for the back?
The MSP is specifically for plate carriers. RDR has one that comes with straps. He makes them for either purpose but not both roles in a single package
How does the material feel between between the spiritus and RDR? Judging from the video it looks like the spiritus is a little thicker material.
No way you man clutch that shit!!!!!!
Spiritus systems has what I need and I can change it up and not have to buy a new set up
you can change the RDR the same exact way everything is just hook and loop into place
Doing the math if you add everything up with spiritus that you get with the RDR you really are right around the same price
No it's not
Nice review of the RDR, but why so mad about your Spiritus purchase? You even said "did wrong by people". They didn't force you to purchase their gear my man.
Spiritus Systems is good gear but way overrated and yes of course a bit pricey.
I wouldnt spend more than $40 for either.
Andrew Miranda what would you get instead for 40
have fun with your airsoft gear
😂
