    EDC is being slept on.
    Consistently good-great draft picks. Built one of the best rosters in the league. Handled a tough franchise QB contact situation and got a good deal in the end. Went and got Roquan which completely transformed the defence and saved Queen from being a 1st round bust.

    I don't regret the Frank Clark trade at all. It made sense to make some big free agent signings during Mahomes' rookie contract. And while Clark didn't have great production in the regular season, he came up big in the playoffs.

    Surprised Baltimore's GM wasn't mentioned. He's done an incredible job.

    Very surprised no EDC in the top 5 given Baltimores draft history and stability as a franchise

    Honorable mention and I hate to say it as a Steelers fan, but Eric DeCosta. He’d be top 5 on my list

    Jamyr now after the back half of the season I no longer see as a "blemish" on holms' record. I also find it funny hearing them say this lions' draft "wasn't bad but it wasn't great" is funny in hindsight as it is now seen as top 3 2023 class firmly. With two pro bowlers I would say the 2023 lions draft class is off to a great start

    everyone but Howie has warts, and its also weird because the saints have had success but do you give Loomis credit for the Sean Payton hire? i guess? anyways.
    #1. Howie Roseman
    #2. Brett Veach
    #3. Les Snead
    #4. John Schneider
    #5. Eric Decosta
    Les Snead is really the underrated forgotten man here. Drafted Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley, Kupp, his best work might be Gerald Everett, Josh Reynolds, Samson, Okoronkwo. moves that benefit an entire league long term. He drafted Goff, who he turned into Stafford, turned into a ring. when you can say that Brad Holmes success traces literally back to his relationship with les Snead. he's now planted an exec tree.

      Definitely think Decosta is deserving but gave deference to more established guys

    • @tvtda1
      @tvtda1 Год назад

      @@RennerRanks all 5 guys have rings. Decosta might need to be #4 lol. it's underrated how long he's been orchestrating different iterations of title rosters. I think he's maintained stability longer than Schneider under tough circumstances at times.

    If it's just about accruing talent then I would think that San Francisco's GM should probably be an honorable mention. Obviously trading up to get a bust quarterback doesn't help but a lot of people miss at QB The Pittsburgh Steelers have been doing pretty well in their recent drafts.

    Didn't Loomis also trade draft capital to move up and get Marcus Davenport? ... and YES, ... Giving Carr 100 mill guaranteed money was just stupid

    I think it was Dave Chappelle that said that Draymond Green had the blackest name in all of sports. I think L'Jarious Sneed has something to say about that.

    You've got to give Seattle some credit for fleecing Denver in the Russell Wilson trade.🎉

    I know he’s a draft wizard but I didn’t expect you to put Bill Belichick at #1 overall

  • @michaelshan22

    Mickey Loomis' career resume has been great and a big reason why the Saints have had success for sure. I've really not been a fan of his recent drafts though, especially not that recent trade for Trevor Penning considering what it ended up being for Philly.
    His ability to manipulate the cap is masterful, but has it resulted in much gain for the Saints as a team? I'd honestly argue no, and he's just digging a hole that's going to gradually be tougher to get out of if he sticks around for the inevitable rebuild. It's a big reason why I think he's pretty overrated as a GM.

    No Les Snead? Donald, Kupp, Whitworth, Stafford, Von Miller, Gurley, Suh, Brandin cooks, Marcus Peters, etc etc. Two Superbowl appearances and somewhat pioneer of trading for superstar talent before the price went up.

    Trent Baalke in Jacksonville rebuilt that roster only having 1 of the extra 1st rounders from the Ramsey trade since that happened before he became GM. Hasn't hit on everything but the 2021 seems incredibly talented (Lawrence, Etienne, Walker Little, Andre Cisco, Tyson Campbell).

      If it wasn't the most obvious pick to just get Hutchinson, then he'd be thought of higher

    • @Vo1kfang
      @Vo1kfang Год назад

      @olegprozapas8318 I can't disagree. It was a puzzling move, though Walker has been just as advertised against the run, he needs so so much work on pass rush. I hope the future looks more like the 2021 draft class and 2022 free agency class.
