Lol, my point is... us loyal customers, who buy regardless of them making a video, and ive bought at least $800 in candy so far from Steve and Terry, but thats beside the point, we want to see them, regardless of what they are doing in the video because we have grown to love them as people and as an extension of our own family. Im not telling them how to run their business, im saying that we love them no matter what video content they show.
You were absolutely right about prunes, Craig. They are dried plum. Also, Hercules Candy Family is 600k strong ! Wohoo !

NOT just any old plum though. Prunes are made from very dry meated (dense) plum varieties, low in juice and high in sugars. Almost always elongated oval in shape. Named varieties are 'French Improved' 'Stanley' and 'Italian'. I grew up in California's Santa Clara Valley which was the world's largest prune growing area from the 1880's to 1950's. Every kid back then helped out on family ranches during harvest or in the drying houses or canneries. WE knew our prunes! (Which by the way, are delicious dipped in milk chocolate. My mom stuffed the prunes with a fresh walnut half and dipped them in locally produced Ghiradeli Milk for Christmas every year)

We are seeing a real serious spike in cases here in Canada. We are going into tougher regulations now. They are starting to hit people where it counts, larger fines for not following the rules.
If you Victorians had behaved yourselves and did as you were told you would be out partying like we are in Queensland right now. The naughty spot exists for good reason
I've learnt the scales are compared to items, Fahrenheit was based off the human body, Celsius is based off water, and Kelvin is based off SPACE!
Sometimes I wonder why you don't just get a whole pallet of sugar delivered.
Cause then the sugar manufacturer would charge shipping & handling fees, which would probably be more than the value of gas to run to Sam's Club/Costco to pick up the supplies in person.
As a small business owner, it's shipping, 100%. Shipping is absolutely a profit killer, especially right now when everything is jacked up because of the pandemic and the holidays.
@@PixieLovesItAll pixie is right....Groc bills tripled. Tripled, not kidding (im talking bout greens n grain. Not fancy stuff) ..regret not living on a farm and growing my own food.
@@henrietta9206 It's also a storage thing as well. A pallet is huge compared to buying the sugar you need for a week. We get pallets of flour in, but we have space to keep it at the bakery I work at.

Here in the true north of Can-a-dia we officially use Metric, but in reality we kind of use a mix of Metric and Imperial. When we drive it is in Kilometers and we measure items in feet. We weigh stuff in Kilograms and measure for baking in cups and tablespoons. I'm 60 years old and I was the 1st generation that was taught Metric in school, anyone older has a hard time figuring things out.

I see that Max is sinister! (left handed in Latin) Also, a somewhat easy way convert Celsius to Fahrenheit is to double the Celsius, subtract 10% and add 32. 40C = (40 * 2) [80] - 10% [8] + 32 = 104F.
While this is probably very useful...im very bad at math so I probably won't remember any of that xD

Love you guys, and I loved my last order so much. Just wanted to let you know, while Frank's Buffalo Sauce is vegan, a lot of buffalo sauces contain butter. Frank's simply contains a "natural butter substitute" (mysterious!). Maybe you already knew this, but a lot of my vegan friends have gotten a nasty surprise!

Years ago turtle candy was given head and legs when they were made by hand and when they used people to do them. Then companies found out that people would still eat them without heads and legs. Took a lot of time to do.

These videos are always a joy to watch. Very relaxing and fun. I love seeing how other candy makers make their products. Everyone has a slightly different method. Also, can confirm that getting chocolate (and any ingredient really) is an uphill battle right now. Just what any candy maker wants with Christmas right around the corner.
I didn’t get my driver’s license until I was 18 either because my twin get hers and I just made her drive me around! 🤣
In my home state you didn’t have to take driver’s education if you were 18 or older so I saved time and money too...
