I’m very sad Nintendo private-ed those videos I have a lot of nostalgia from Nintendo minute and I grew up with it. Very sad it’s not coming back, but this podcast still holds the spirit of it and I’m very excited to see what you guys do next.
🥺 before I was able to watch RUclips and had any actual devices. I always went on my DS and watched these episodes. It is so sad that it’s gone now maybe you guys could do it in the spare bedroom or something
I'm guessing they took it down _because_ you started this podcast. Like, they don't want their old videos promoting a channel they have no control over, and having people think this is officially endorsed but it's own channel (like the Nintendo Power Podcast). I think "Kit & Krysta" was in the titles of those videos too, so one could easily search and get results for both and not realize one was official and the other isn't. I understand their perspective and the risks, but it is unfortunate. I re-watched a few beforehand when they were mentioned in the podcast, like the Pokemon SwSh cooking video. There's some neat videos in there. A shame they're inaccessible (or hard to find, there's a handful of re-uploads).
I just realized this a few days ago. I was looking forward to rewatch your gaming confessions episode to only realize all of the Nintendo Minute videos have been privated. It’s such a shame really! At least you still do podcasts!
Hey I came from watching Nintendo Minute and was disappointed that it was shut down but i've finally found this channel where you can post videos to your hearts content outside of Nintendo's guidelines too.

Despite Nintendo Minute turning their videos to private, I did manage to watch the Nintendo Minute Holiday Surprise when Kit and Krysta surprised some guests, especially associated with Nintendo with a Nintendo Switch Gameplay. Ah good times, just before it went private. Thank you Kit and Krysta for all the episodes up to currently, 46. It has help me keep my head up daily. Happy New Years to all of you and see you all in 2023. Congrats on all accomplishments from Day 1 of Kit and Krysta to currently 50k subscribers.
As a long time Nintendo Minute watcher? Definitely felt saddened to know they’re no longer readily accessible. Especially because they cover such a massive chunk of Nintendo history. That said, very glad you anticipated this could happen (emotionally and file wise) cuz yeah. It’s your work and I know you’re still proud of what earlier versions of you two made. We certainly all liked it too :3

On the topic of video game music that instantly takes you back to a different time and makes you emotional, all of the early Minecraft tracks definitely come to mind.
Oh Kit!! Don't be ashamed or hide your traditions out of some perception of respect. I wanna see it and learn. As a mexican living in the United States, I hate how both US Americans and Mexicans are always fighting for "authenticity" on food, tradition, language, etc. It's so ridiculous! Culture isn't for fighting. As long as it means something to you and you'd like to share it with world, it can be a positive thing. While we want to respect and learn about culture, we have to acknowledge that culture changes just as people evolve. In my case, I let people celebrate their Taco Bell, and, even though taco shells are blasphemous to me,... they are special to others. And that's okay ❤ love this channel.
It really is a big shame that those Nintendo Minute videos can no longer be viewed now, i remember some of them very fondly. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with in 2023! love listening to the podcasts and vlogs a lot! ❤
I was thinking of recording all of them on the Wii U eShop but that would take hours upon hours of just sitting holding a phone at a TV or Wii U GamePad.

That’s so sad that Nintendo Minute is hidden from us! My favorite video was the one where you two went to a Best Buy to try to hold as many Nintendo games and consoles as possible as a competition and then sent the games to kids as an act of charity. It was a pretty fun video. Hopefully, but maybe unlikely, Nintendo will unprivate those videos.

Way to go once again on hitting 50k. 😀 Thank you for answering my Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster question from 1:08:33 to 1:10:15. I'm glad the collection is finally coming to consoles and will definitely be picking it up for Nintendo Switch. Square-Enix no doubt put it on hardware where it was wanted least, first, to maximize sales. You know...enjoy what sells there and then have a certain percentage double dip many months later (not to mention gaining extra talk online, which added to the publicity and hype for the game). In all honesty, Nintendo Minute was more of a thing that I had playing in the background while I was doing other stuff. But I'm legit invested and paying attention to what you guys have to say here. I'm glad you've chosen to continue on with your own podcast and here's to a prosperous 2023!

In any other era, I'd agree with Kit that the Castlevania DS games will probably never be re-released. BUT! Given the recent success of the Castlevania Requiem, Anniversary and Advance collections, I think Konami has shown that there's still a market for these games! Capcom has also showed that collections with DS games is possible via the Mega Man Zero Legacy Collection, and I think Konami would be willing to provide the resources to an outside studio like M2 or Digital Eclipse to release a Castlevania DS Collection! I'm also probably the only person in the world who wants to see a Castlevania 64 collection, but I think NightDive Studios seems like a natural fit for that collection!
A powerful and emotional song moment in a video would have to be in Ghost of Tsushima at two key points... Jin and his faithful friend, and Jin and his Uncle. Those were highly emotional.
Nintendo probably meant to private those videos awhile ago but didn't want to do it too soon to make people question of being insensitive or bitter about it... or they just forgot or were lazy to get around to it... but the segment is done, and with you guys having your own podcast who still commented on those older videos... they feel it is probably not appropriate maybe.

SNES and Nintendo Minute Nintendo NY Shopping Spree Showdown. On plus side you still do the podcasts as I do enjoying your videos :-)
I would really like to see a lot of older games - non-emulated style of play - on a current console. That is one reason why I keep my Wii U, for the excellent Xenoblade Chronicles X, as well as the DS games that you can easily play on it. They even have DS games on the Wii U that you couldn't download directly from the E-shop, and had to purchase the (extremely expensive) physical games to play them. The Wii U is where it is at. Not to mention that it is a modder's heaven, if you want to risk breaking your system.
1:04:25 I totally agree with Krysta. A co-op Legend of Zelda experience featuring Link and Zelda would be cool. I think over all I just like the idea of more gameplay featuring Zelda as part of the adventure, much like she was in OOT.
Making these videos private is also terrible from a preservationist point of view. For example, in one episode you guys interview Koji Kondo. That primary source is now gone, too.
Oahu is lots of fun. Check out Duke's Waikiki and get the coconut shrimp if you have the chance. Also the Byodo-In Temple has black swans and a giant bell you can ring! Waimea Falls is a nice hike or fun cart ride up to a lovely waterfall. Kualoa Ranch is a very fun experience. I miss Oahu 😭
My guess is that now that you guys have your own podcast with no filters, Nintendo being Nintendo don't want their brand associated with you in any shape or form.

Eish, Art Academy. The marketing push was gigantic in Europe. I mean, in Portugal (such small country right) even smaller websites/blogs, they were all invited to a fancy collab with art institutes, schools. So, Mario level stuff almost. It was indeed big over here, and lots of people getting it too.
Watching the end of the year podcast in the new year 😅 aww well, it is what it is The question about video game music got me thinking about a game I've beaten multiple times on 3 diff game consoles, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. I absolutely loved it on PS3 & when it was brought to PS4 & Switch, I grabbed it right away in hopes that it would encourage Capcom to make a sequel (btw, it seems it worked!). Anyway, there's no music constantly playing out in the field during the day or night unless you're in combat but once the night cycle starts, you can hear the female voice singing a few lyrics from the theme song: "Land and Sky, And seas yearn, Finish the cycle of eternal return" hearing that always got me excited for the new enemies that only appear at night (it gets crazy dark in that game). Then there's the battle music for the final boss of Bitter black Isle, Damion. It really gets your blood pumping as you're fighting that ridiculous boss (he's got some really annoying moves) Shorter comment than usual this time. Thanx for the podcast, I'm gonna go listen to that song now lol
Kit, you mentioned that sonic week is a week that won’t be dedicated to ragging on Sonic. This is alienating to me who wanted it to be a week of ragging on Sonic!
I literally was just watching you guys talk to the Nintendo Music legend, Koji Kondo a few days ago on youtube... and now, it's gone. I can (somewhat begrudgingly) understand taking down the videos with y'all in it, but did they really need to take down the interview with the legend? I am deeply saddened and disheartened that future Video Game Music lovers will not get to hear that awesome interview you guys conducted with him.

i've never played any final fantasy games but To Zanarkand and Aerith's Theme always get me-- oh my god, can't forget Eyes On Me. And much of the N64 era is very emotional for me bc my twinbro is no longer around, and N64 turned into Nintendo lifers ahaha. Particularly the ending themes for Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, and the N64 Rainbow Road (double Dash also very emotional though). Pokemon too is mostly a cry fest these days, no matter the piece or if I played the game or not whoops. Speaking of which, I was 10 in '99 (and not a part of public school/was homeschooled), so I guess me and twinbro were caught up in the "second wave" of Pokemania. The 5th and 10th Pokemon anniversary celebrations were the first cons we ever attended!! (BostonComicCon 2017 was my first solo con :,,,,) )

I used to watch this on my old DS that now doesn’t work. I’m kind of sad that it’s done mostly because at that time I didn’t have any access to the Internet besides to the DS.🥺 at the time, it was one of those cellular devices where you couldn’t use the phone and the Internet at the same time that’s what the Internet was like back in the 2000🥹

I do not wan it to end, its been 25 years and they can continue his journey if anything as a mentor. The sad truth is that Journey's was a season and even a bit of Sun and Moon was another season where it showed that we werent as upset that Ash wasnt the focus. We focused a lot on Lily and even Kiawe in Sun and Moon and Goh was a major focus of Journey's. The majority of fans can do without Ash, but I dont know how I will. *taking a breath to finish typing* I felt this same level of sadness with Arthur the difference is that Pokemon has been my favorite franchise since I was a child and though I am supportative of the decision, I wish we would keep Ash and Pikachu forever. I wish we would have left their journey after the Orange Island when he beat Drake. Then for Johto, get someone new, then Hoenn someone(s) new, then Sinnoh... it would have been so easy to reaclimate to new characters per region. But maybe the anime wouldnt have been as successful. I dont know.

I would really like to see a lot of older games - non-emulated style of play - on a current console. That is one reason why I keep my Wii U, for the excellent Xenoblade Chronicles X, as well as the DS games that you can easily play on it. They even have DS games on the Wii U that you couldn't download directly from the E-shop, and had to purchase the (extremely expensive) physical games to play them. The Wii U is where it is at. Not to mention that it is a modder's heaven, if you want to risk breaking your system.

Oahu is lots of fun. Check out Duke's Waikiki and get the coconut shrimp if you have the chance. Also the Byodo-In Temple has black swans and a giant bell you can ring! Waimea Falls is a nice hike or fun cart ride up to a lovely waterfall. Kualoa Ranch is a very fun experience. I miss Oahu 😭

Eish, Art Academy. The marketing push was gigantic in Europe. I mean, in Portugal (such small country right) even smaller websites/blogs, they were all invited to a fancy collab with art institutes, schools. So, Mario level stuff almost. It was indeed big over here, and lots of people getting it too.

The question about video game music got me thinking about a game I've beaten multiple times on 3 diff game consoles, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. I absolutely loved it on PS3 & when it was brought to PS4 & Switch, I grabbed it right away in hopes that it would encourage Capcom to make a sequel (btw, it seems it worked!). Anyway, there's no music constantly playing out in the field during the day or night unless you're in combat but once the night cycle starts, you can hear the female voice singing a few lyrics from the theme song: "Land and Sky, And seas yearn, Finish the cycle of eternal return" hearing that always got me excited for the new enemies that only appear at night (it gets crazy dark in that game). Then there's the battle music for the final boss of Bitter black Isle, Damion. It really gets your blood pumping as you're fighting that ridiculous boss (he's got some really annoying moves)

I can (somewhat begrudgingly) understand taking down the videos with y'all in it, but did they really need to take down the interview with the legend? I am deeply saddened and disheartened that future Video Game Music lovers will not get to hear that awesome interview you guys conducted with him.

i've never played any final fantasy games but To Zanarkand and Aerith's Theme always get me-- oh my god, can't forget Eyes On Me. And much of the N64 era is very emotional for me bc my twinbro is no longer around, and N64 turned into Nintendo lifers ahaha. Particularly the ending themes for Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, and the N64 Rainbow Road (double Dash also very emotional though). Pokemon too is mostly a cry fest these days, no matter the piece or if I played the game or not whoops. Speaking of which, I was 10 in '99 (and not a part of public school/was homeschooled), so I guess me and twinbro were caught up in the "second wave" of Pokemania. The 5th and 10th Pokemon anniversary celebrations were the first cons we ever attended!! (BostonComicCon 2017 was my first solo con :,,,,) )

Literally everytime I think about Ash and Pikachu's departure, I get a lump in my throat. I have watched every episode since it came out and I have followed it to present day. I do not wan it to end, its been 25 years and they can continue his journey if anything as a mentor. The sad truth is that Journey's was a season and even a bit of Sun and Moon was another season where it showed that we werent as upset that Ash wasnt the focus. We focused a lot on Lily and even Kiawe in Sun and Moon and Goh was a major focus of Journey's. The majority of fans can do without Ash, but I dont know how I will. *taking a breath to finish typing* I felt this same level of sadness with Arthur the difference is that Pokemon has been my favorite franchise since I was a child and though I am supportative of the decision, I wish we would keep Ash and Pikachu forever. I wish we would have left their journey after the Orange Island when he beat Drake. Then for Johto, get someone new, then Hoenn someone(s) new, then Sinnoh... it would have been so easy to reaclimate to new characters per region. But maybe the anime wouldnt have been as successful. I dont know.
