he did two more sessions with coke studio last season. One was "Wohi Khuda Hai", and another one was "Mubarik Mubarik" and he nailed both of the songs.

Here "Sharaab" means "Baarish (rain)".. Many people misinterpret it. And that's the beauty of Urdu.

I think it's a word play. Muslim poets\writers loved to take things very close to the line but not cross it and that's why Urdu literature is rich with double entendre and puns all over the place.
When you say "Abr (clouds)" before it.. then the only thing you expect Abr to bring with it is "baarish (rain)" and not wine.. So, ANONYMOUS SOUL, I think it can't be taken as both.

I know it's alternate days for pop/sufi and hiphop and all of these are my favorite genres. But somehow I thought of reminding you about Bandish, Manzarkashi, Mai aur mere idols, Khafa, Gawah rehna, Jazbaat, Muntazir, Khanabadosh, Depression (TY), Bulleya, etc maybe in that order from Young Stunners/Talha Anjum/Jokhay/JJ47 as they are the bests in DHH. You got to do this for the sake of rap and those who listen to it.

Faiz wrote this piece when he was lodged in Hyderabad Central Jail . He was away from his wife and two daughters. After being separated from his family, Faiz spent months without seeing them. Faiz found himself misunderstood in the society in which he lived. Still Faiz stood with hope. Atif is blessed with vocal belting and his high-chested delivery adds a different texture and timbre to his voice.
