My obsession for Linkin Park and their new lead singer, Emily Armstrong, has reached a peak -- I've probably listened to their whole new album 25 times at this point, but this was my FIRST time hearing this iconic song from it. Absolutely blown away. What else from Linkin Park and/or Emily do I need to check out?
I feel ya brother, the same here :) except I watched all interviews and all live show material that gets uploaded. They are so special and unique group.
Even these months later this still hits me in the feels; was so happy seeing them come back with new music and Emily is an amazing addition to the band. So glad they are back with new stuff!
Emily is amazing, From Zero was the first Linkin Park album I bought, I've always been a passive fan since 2001, but Emily made me a full time fan. I particularly love her Chemistry with Mike, and her crazy energy in the band.
I was a big fan early in their career and played the hell out of their first album but lost track of them over time. But this new lineup gets me really excited. Emily is great.
I am with you on Emily, Addition not Replacement. That said she does have similar skill and strengths with that mix of vulnerable cleans and angsty harsh. If you like the crossover between Dub Step and Metal then check out Igorrr, oh and they throw in an operatic soprano for good measure.
Great reaction again! About gritts and growls, you can do growls with your false vocal cords. If you do it right, it shouldn't mess with your vocal cords. And you're right! Chester isn't replaced. he sadly took his own life and can't be the front singer anymore. I think the band was right to take their time. And they are respectful to the past. I really think Emily and Mike are hitting it off!
Terrific tune and strong single. Outrage seems like a knee-jerk reaction to the introduction of a new lead vocalist in a popular band. Because I agree- you can’t “replace” incredible artists or really even anyone. All you can do is try to fill a void. And people seem to assume surviving members would disrespect someone they likely loved very much. I saw a RUclips comment against that album only a couple days ago. So I think it matters to support vital artists when they take this bold but legitimate step.
I was not a big fan of LP in the old era although I loved their clean and simple music, Mike rapping, Chester mostly sounded awesome but I felt his pain and depression and it steered me away. Also I prefere female vocals so Nightwish was my favorite band. I don't listen to 100 bans, I only have one or two cause I don't spend much time to listen musin during day. Emily pulled me in the first live stream, I cried and felt her joy with a bit of anger. She clicked and LP is now my favorite band. After almost 5 months and watched all live shows, interviews, I am speechless how I love this band now. Emily especially, I even waste time fighting those hater trolls that she definitely does not deserve.
Wouldn't mind if you react/analyze each from Zero song 😬😉 or maybe one of the tour concerts? just cant get enough! Im following every single concert, Ems is getting better and better and more confident, awesome to see the guys having so much fun!. Thanks for this vid, really fun to watch and interesting to hear your music knowledge
Please when you take another pass at sleep token you have to do "rain" it shows his soft side so well and my gosh is it beautiful. You also need to do "the way you were" and "euclid".
Linkin Park just dropped From Zero A Cappellas album on Spotify, Can the Bass Gang(maybe also with Voiceplay)PLEASE do an A Cappella Linkin Park medley?
How about a nod to Mike for creating Emily's new sound. She certainly never sounded like this in Dead Sara. I did hear her credit Mike in an interview for making her sound the way she does in Linkin Park.
I've been stuck on that song since the premiere stream and all the way through. I've already played it more times than anything ive listened in the past 15 years according to my lastfm. Help. The way she goes into that first chorus is just illegal.
If you're looking for more/different Emily stuff, the whole self-titled Dead Sara album is a tour de force of multiple vocal styles, genres, and techniques. She has an incredible gift for conveying emotion. This is a great example: Dead Sara - Face to Face - Live @ EPICENTER 9/22/2012 ( ruclips.net/video/Q99W2X3yQbY/видео.htmlsi=dUSkBtp1YFp0XaCt )
I totally understand why you feel that way. Losing such an important member of the original band changes things, and for some fans, that might mean it no longer feels like Linkin Park. That’s fair enough. But here’s the thing: for Mike and the rest of the band, this is still Linkin Park. They are the ones who created this band, poured their hearts into it, and kept its spirit alive for decades. If they believe that Linkin Park continues with Emily, then isn't that what truly matters? Also, let’s not forget something Chester himself always emphasized in his concerts: respect. He spoke about treating others with kindness and understanding. Emily has taken on an incredibly difficult role, and she’s doing it with passion, dedication, and immense talent. If anything, showing respect for her and the band’s decision is a way to honor Chester’s legacy, not diminish it. By the end of the day, you don’t have to love the new direction - but dismissing it entirely? That seems unfair to the very people who built this band and are still giving it their all.

Hopefully Elizabeth’s study will greatly increase the pedagogy on teaching/learning harshes.

11:55 - when you discuss instruments cutting out and then coming back in...that part of this song is my single favorite moment of this song/album.

"If Vi from Arcane was a singer" meanwhile Hailee Steinfeld's singing career exists 🤣

Hearing the new LP since Chester's death makes me wish I wouldn't have stopping singing but I got so tired of classical music.
If you like those vocals you really need to listen to bring me the horizon oli sykes is just stupifying.
Still a good band but not LP.
