Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert (born January 9, 1970), better known as Lara Fabian, is a Canadian-Belgian singer, songwriter, musician, actress and producer. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide as of September 2017 and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time
in 2000 In Europe, the single "Adagio" charted at 5 on the French singles chart and 3 on the Belgian singles chart.
Lara's vocal is based on Tomaso Albinoni original classical piece,
This was a request for my guitar buddy Rodney Lear who kindly bought me the Backing track from Peter Korving and hoped I would record it and make out the Tabs.

Played on my Alan Brason custom Stratocaster fitted with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Mid position through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36 and into Cubase SX6 on the computer.
The song start of slowly and quietly and builds to a crescendo at the end - for this part I used my Boss OS-2 (Overdrive/ Distortion) pedal and my Boss CS-2 (Compressor Sustainer )to give the song distortion.
The Cubase sound edited with the three 4K video takes in Sony Vegas Pro 14.

Adagio in G Minor from Albinoni is one of my favourite classics,
and it took me quite a while to accept Lara Fabian's version. even though she has an amazing voice.
This cover of yours, to me, is far superior. Real emotion pouring from it with wonderful sympathetic playing.
You have excelled yourself Phil.

Fabulous - never heard Albinoni's adagio played on guitar before, especially with such superb control on bends, slides and vibrato. A real masterclass. Way beyond anything I could achieve but still wonderful to watch and hear. Also really interesting to see you switch in the two effects at 3.23 REALLY EFFECTIVE. Gold stars all round - no. Sod that. @@random275 Interesting history behind the Albinoni - worth checking out as there's long been a debate about how much of it he actually wrote. It was always a favourite of my late wife's. She'd have loved to hear and see you playing this interpretation. Regards. Stay well.

Thanks Ian for your great comments ! It was a good one to use the foot pedal and the distortion pedals. Pete did come up with a good arrangement based on Lara's fantastic singing. great tone and ring Phil. Great instrument and player. I have learned i have a vision depth perception issue and can't see the strings well. Is that nuts. So now I have to memorize there positions by feel. I have to come the point where i realize i was not cut out to be a guitarist. BUT, i will still chip away and try because of folks like you that provide such a great experience i want to continue. Take care old buddy, Dennis

Hi Dave - I think the tune started out as an Organ piece and Lara made a vocal of it but I may be wrong cant find much info on Wikipedia. Yes Pete's BT and arrangement were excellent it was a good one to Tab as nothing too outrageously difficult and he kept to the tune. So glad you liked it and appreciate your great comments... Hi Ramon - I'm learning a lot about this song from the replies - I didn't know Sarah Brightman sang it ! just looked it up and yes a sort of operatic version ! I still prefer Lara's. Good Afternoon/Evening Phil, the tone of the Alan Brason sounded melancholic as required. As I had heard the song I could relate to the sadness in Lara's voice and your guitar play perfectly.
