    Filming this video was a real challenge! The cicada's in Australia at that time of year are punishing. A swarm of cicada's can produce sound up to 120 decibels and they are inescapable. We've done our best to improve the audio quality, but if you're wondering what that noise in the back-ground is, now you know! I hope you enjoy the video, as well as the sounds of Australian summer!

    Gotta say. I am 53 and I envy this generation. They are stepping up and owning their lives, rather than streaming to the corporate kingdom, which chews workers up and throws them out - as needed. Some are truly awakened and free.
    I only hope they find a way to heal terra firma. I can't imagine what to do about so much synthetic waste listing around in the oceans and streams, so much worse than the flotsam of thousands of years of shipwrecks and as bad as oil spills.
    Hats off to Millenials. I love you guys.

      It's actually far worse than it's ever been, and getting worse every second. Harmful microwave radiation is now near omnipresent, everyone carries an emitter on their person or puts it in their house (cell phone and wifi respectively). With all this pretense like we're going to "fix climate change", Man is faced with a lethal pollution that, aside from the damage it's already caused, can be cleaned up with the press of a button. By cutting the power to these towers. And yet, it cannot even do that. It will not. The insect populations have plummeted, the inevitably short era of pollination by hand has now arrived in the west. There's still fluoride in the water. The food is still poison garbage on the whole. Everyone is sick and screwed up, addicted to their stupid little devices. How could anyone ever believe. I don't believe.
      I was born in 1993. I can see and feel what you are, but I look at it through a sheet of glass, disconnected. It's just a mirage, it's not real. I'm still trapped, disappointed and disgusted with every second of this hell. Regardless, with the effects on fertility, it cannot last. I tried to tell them.
      That's been a major demotivator for me. I would still like to do something like this. Sorry to be the one to say there are major problems my generation can't solve by "freeing" themselves and running away.

    I can so relate to what she said about working all the time to earn money and being too tired to do your hobbies when you get home. It's been my biggest complaint for many years now. I love my crafting and I have quite a few hobbies but I seldom have time for them anymore because my job has become so demanding that I am mentally wiped out by the time I get home. And all to make some other guy money....I'm so tired of working for other people and making them rich. I've run too many businesses for other people in my lifetime, it's time to do something for ME!
    I love their spirit and attitude, a really great couple who seem to have at least a few really important things figured out! :)

      cindybin2001 you have nothing better to do?

    • @kiwigirljacks
      @kiwigirljacks 6 лет назад +3

      cindybin2001 What do I think about it?? Well.. given I’ve had a nose ring, belly button piercing and a nipple piercing... what do you think I think you judgemental moron? 😂😂😂

    • @kiwigirljacks
      @kiwigirljacks 6 лет назад +8

      cindybin2001 Well have you ever thought that maybe the world isn’t all as judgemental as you?? You came and commented on MY comment, som one you had no idea about, someone you didn’t even think might have had those things already...so pull your head in lady! I know that a lot of body modification can be a deterrent to a lot of things, like employment, hence why anything I now have is easily hidden. But people like you actually make the situation worse, not better. When someone is as judgemental as you are, it gets people’s backs up, and they in fact tend to go the opposite of what you want just to prove something. So maybe reconsider your approach. I not respond to anything further you have to say, because it’s quite obvious you are unhinged (I’ve seen you on other videos and comment threads - geez give it a rest!!), and I’d be wasting my breath.

    • @whatever1003
      @whatever1003 6 лет назад +2

      cindybin2001 you ain't right in the head, I see

    • @wendyweaver8749
      @wendyweaver8749 6 лет назад +10

      cindybin2001 - I have counted more than 15 comments where you have verbally attacked people for their lifestyle choices because, in your judgement, such things as tattoos and piercings are bad. Your postings are dictionary examples of judgemental. If you do not like what the items and behaviors you "shouted" in all caps, then ignore such people. Why on earth do you believe it is your duty to accuse other posters of improper behaviors or acceptance because they do no agree with judgements.
      Also, you are not my parent nor are you the parent of the young people in this video and you most certainly are not the parent of any of the others commentators. I would certainly think that if 200 internet posters have called you judgemental that you might just consider that they are right and you are judgemental. If 50 people a day are calling your judgemental, then you should really take a step back and truly look at yourself and see how negative you appear to be.
      If you do not like people calling you judgemental, then quit posting attacks on others. To paraphrase another person who replied to you: Why not look for the good in people? Why not see the joy in the lives of others?
      Finally, who made you the arbitrator of what is good/bad?

    Thank you, it’s really great to see Australian van conversions. At least 90% of conversions I’ve seen are in the UK, EU or US so all the parts that go into building a van aren’t generally relevant in Australia. Yes, I realise there’s Amazon etc but often they don’t ship here plus there’s generally a lot of other stuff that’s bought in large retail chains we don’t have here. So, I’d love to see more Aussie ones since I’m thinking about trying van life myself.
    It’s also good to see a conversion of a van other than a sprinter because here, in Australia, they are super expensive to buy and to fix. I did notice that this van is shorter than the sprinter, especially the long wheel base one. Does anyone know if Ford make a long wheel base Transit van and/or does Toyota make a suitable van with a longer wheel base? I’d want a shower and loo inside and from watching heaps of conversions it seems you really need the longer wheel base to accomodate that. I’m interested in Toyota’s because they are super reliable and much cheaper and easier to fix. In Oz 99% of mechanics can fix a Toyota and the parts are much less expensive, especially compared to the Sprinter. I have only been able to find a Toyota Coaster which is a small bus rather than a van. So, any info would be gratefully accepted.

    • @pinut187
      @pinut187 6 лет назад +2

      Angela Bay-Jespersen Ford makes longer and higher versions of the Transit. You can also look for the Toyota Hiace. Bryce visited a guy who build one. One the best van built I ever have seen. I’m not sure if the Fiat Ducato was ever sold in Australia but that could also be an alternative otherwise. Besides that you could consider vans from other Japanese brands such as Nissan or Mitsubishi.

    As I slowly change gears to get tiny sooner, this really speaks to me... My tiny house pirate ship is going to be put on hold and I'll find something else that makes me happy, and allows me to be tiny at the same time...
    Great job on this van conversion! Love henna art, and can see how it can really beautify a space even more! I know just who to call when I'm ready to add some artistic flair to my home to be!

      Living Big In A Tiny House as rent increased, my ability to save deminished, but the good thing is that a Step Van is within my reach, and I can kit that out, then build the Pirate Ship Tiny House can be rescheduled... 😎

    This is probably my favourite van conversion so far. I really love it and the couple is so cool. The only thing they're missing is the toilet. I would have chosen a pull out composing toilet instead of the freezer. But to each their own. I love the style of the van inside as well! And the deck idea is amazing ❤

I am deciding the plan of my future Tiny House and I sure hope you will come down and see it!!! this video and this couple are soooooo sweet, as so many others you have filmed!! I'd love to see how they would add a composting toilet.. with that this option for a lot of travel is super... all the best, keep posting!!! Margarita

    What an absolutely adorable couple and they really look like they are enjoying life. Good for them to do this while young and not holding themselves back with silly things like mortgages, etc (I did that route and regret many decisions). And if it makes them feel any better you're not supposed to shower more than every other day for a normal person who doesn't roll in dirt and grease daily. ha ha ha. So they're fine in the shower department, I'm sure! Their hair looks good!
