Wow I've always used a jelly roll pan when I make what you call crack the first time I ever had this was back in the 1980s in Louisiana I went to a church dinner where I was conducting a blood drive for the local blood bankn your praline version was called Sugar Suicide by the little white haired lady who told me it was her dessert. Yikes! 2 weeks later I went to potluck at a friend's house and I took 2 batches of it and 2 different men tasted it and exclaimed who made that I want to marry her I had to leave the room and I swore the hostess to secrecy. Been a favorite of mine for a very very long time
First time viewing your channel I'm a senior citizen I really enjoyed this video. I've heard of this but wasn't sure how to make it. What made me stop scrolling and watch it you have such a calm and soothing voice not loud . So I've liked subscribed I would love to try these recipes for Christmas.
Thos is my 1st year to make Christmas crack , I made bark for the 1st time & Green Grinch fudge for the 1sg time this year. I usually just make fudge...1 can sweetened condensed milk & 2 cups chocolate chips melted in microwave n stirred every 30 seconds. I also made pretzel, rolo pecans candies. And after Santa face sugar cookies & chocolate chip cookies, im going to try and make cowboy candy, pepper jelly & jalapeño/Cheddar bread
I'm new. Maybe they call it crack because it can be addictive!! These look delicious! You make it look easy! Some videos I've seen make it sound hard and scary! I'm going to try this your way! Be well and stay safe!
I can’t believe it’s time for Christmas treats again. This is how I found your channel last year. Thanks for all that you do. My family and I watch all your videos. Happy holidays to you and yours. ❤
Thank you for these recipes . Plus, I'm a new subscriber, never had this, and I'm 58 , I've made bark , chocolate with nuts , but never this, I made a big pan from Nordic ware, which has been made in the USA since 1946 A pan size 21 in x 15 in x 1 inch lip . I made 1/2 of the pan with only the Carmel & pecans , the other side with the Carmel, pecans and Chocolate smeared it's in frig now , I can't wait to taste , my husband doesn't care for alot of chocolate, but I do , plus I can give some to my Oldest Son , Dil and 2 granddaughters ages 11 & 10 . Looking forward to watching your other content , many look so good , Great idea to also give the recipe with plain sugar also , with so many shortages these days . God bless you & your family Mrs josette Tharp Montgomery County, Texas 🙏
so glad you made this, i need to take something no one else will take to the family dinner..usually about 30 or 50 ppl depends on who comes to town..im getting old and cant do the bread/rolls much..i might omit the crackers if i heat it to 310 degrees..like a toffee thingy..tyvm.
Yes! Christmas treats- probably one of the absolute best seasons for awesome youtubers like you to give recipes! I can only get started on how good these all look! Absolutely delicious! Great work and happy holidays!
Hi, I love to see what everyone is making during the holidays and your thumbnail caught my eye. I love making all the crack recipes! You’re correct they’re easy to make and always taste so good. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your videos. It’s always nice to meet new RUclipsrs with like interests. Hope to see you soon and merry Christmas to you and your family, Dolores.🥰☃️🎄🧑🎄
Thank you so much! Welcome to my little corner of RUclips land lol. I also like to support fellow content creators! I subscribed to your channel as well. You have a very merry Christmas too!!🎄😁
You are so welcome! I personally do better looking at a recipe rather than just hearing it, so I always write it out below the video. That way you have options😁😁
I think this is a good concept. My question is,,, why no chocolate? Pralines always have chocolate. I am not sure if you could just spread the chocolate chips on the hot carmels or heat up the chips and spread like frozting?

I store them in a container with a lid on the counter and they are always fine😁
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest I do, too
Just found your your channel. Glad I did.
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome!!😁😁
We say "prayleen" in N.C. also. Either way, this looks good!
Thank you😁😁
Great video thanks. What size cookie sheet do you use? It looks smaller than a standard full sheet. Thx!
Thanks! I believe it’s a 9x13. It’s not the big one😁😁
This is the kinda snack to have while climbing Everest, alot of Calories presumably, intriguing food, it’s like softer toffee?
The caramel part is chewy and the top and bottom are crunchy. Perfect combo😁😁
Nice!👍
Thank you for this sweet Christmas cracks. Happy sweet tooth.
Thank you!😁
All looks too yummy
Thank you😁😁

Hi. Where I live, we have never added chocolate to pralines, but you certainly could if you wanted to😊
Have you ever used butterscotch chips?
I haven’t, but I bet it would be delicious!😁😁
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest my sons will not eat chocolate so I thought maybe this might be good with butterscotch. Personally I’m a choc fan!
@@Jesuslovesme8 I would try it! Make them some with butterscotch and make you some with chocolate😂😂
I love your voice!
Thanks😊
My mom makes crack everyday with no avail. She keeps making it, it's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. THERE IS NO ESCAPE, CRACK IS OUR LIVES.....
😳😂
I wonder if this would work with stevia or coconut sugar......
I haven’t tried it, but I don’t see why not. As long as it’s a 1:1 swap I think I would try it🙂
Please, it is pray lean But either way, it looks amazing!!!
Lol thanks! It’s definitely not “pray lean” here😂
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest Looks amazing, either way. I saw a vid where someone used chocolate grahams as the base. Interesting idea! :)

Lol not where I’m from😁
She’s from the south. 😂 As a Canadian I would say,
“Pr-eh-leens” (pun intended)
Crack-you cant stop eating it like using the drug
Lol yes😂
