    Be on time, Stay OFF your phone, check in with your boss before leaving for the day, keep your truck-tools neat and clean up your mess.

      If only that was true, everyone would be making more money and have job security! Funny how we have to state the basics and obvious.

      If only that was true all the time. It's more like " hold on can't you see I'm on the phone, what do you want now and where is my check?"

    Here's my 3:
    1) Attitude (over everything in life)
    2) develop a strong work ethic, go the 2nd Mile.
    3) Aim to always improve and develop a insatiable hunger to learn.

    Good tips, things like that will put you in really good positions to grow in a company. That growth will teach you so much you can one day go on your own if you want.

    I’ve been in the trade 20 yrs. I do both electrical and low voltage. In that time I’ve been laid off a total of maybe 4weeks. I’ve moved from field to office as an estimator/pm, this has helped immensely in my current role.
    Always, always invest in yourself, you be valuable. FYI, standards wise you shouldn’t splice category cable. LEARN fiber optics, fire alarm, card access and controls.
    Great advice, I’m 45 and tired of working for someone. I am glad I found your page, I’m putting together my plans for going out on my own.

      Hey Todd, did you go to college to become and estimator/pm? I just started my apprenticeship for low voltage w/IBEW and will graduate in 3 years. I really want to become a PM tho

    • @TheDctodd
      @TheDctodd 2 года назад

      @@mc4118 I also am in the IBEW. I didn’t go to school for PM’ing just took what I knew of the field and thru trial and error, had some good mentors got me where I am. Liken it to this- you are the acting General Foreman, your job is to get answers and materials ahead of your crew. PM you are doing the previous plus admin work x how many jobs you have going on. TIME MANAGEMENT is your biggest asset. Good luck

    Those tips are great but in germany you won't make more money with that. They will say everyone does this and make it seem normal.

    Totally off-topic question: How do you have ads at start of video but you don't have 1000 subs? Thanks

    • @The360Electrician
      @The360Electrician  3 года назад

      You mean RUclips ads or my sponsored ads? RUclips now can put ads anywhere they want, minoritized or not if they have customers that want a certain channel.

    • @MeditationInspiration
      @MeditationInspiration 3 года назад +1

      @@The360Electrician Thanks for reply. I was referring to the fact that the moment I clicked your video, an ad started before your video started. Just like with monetized channel - I then checked your sub count and didn't see 1000 and wondered how you pulled that off. Thanks for explaining - didn't know RUclips can place ads on their own. I'm guessing when they do this you can't make revenue off them, or turn them off for that matter? THanks again - just a RUclipsr trying to figure this platform out. And although our channel is meditation based, I happen to be an industrial electrician hah :)
