I have never seen distros broke down like this and it’s absolutely what I’ve been looking for. Lots of vids act like you just know. But sometimes we need a guy to go step by step. This is him
This is the best explanation of distro plate so far , i was worried on how to use and was writing to those ali express sellers and which port is inlet and outlet inorder to get an understanding on how this will work and after searching youtube and found this ur video ,,,, believe me i got a better understanding to how this works , thanks for the video, you got urself a subscriber
Awesome it helped, I looked for videos also and there were nothing that answered I felt were easy questions that should be answered. So I researched and made this video for all of us. Thank you for the comment and sub.
lot of good info here! I am attempting to swap from my corsair reservoir and pump to a distro block and this video made some very valid points that I had not fully considered previously. Thank you for this video!
OMG! Thank you so much!!!! I had no idea how to plumb up my plate!!! You just taught this old dog a new trick! :) (I just got my first distro plate... the Corsair Hydro X Series XD7)
Hey man, I watched this vid a few hours ago, and it was so good i remembered to look it up and comment when I got home from work. I learned a lot from this video, thanks!
You really don't get the views you deserve. This is some really good information, and lots of little thoughts from experience about things I'd never think to ask or check myself. Appreciate it.
Thanks, I just come up with what to talk about by doing, basically when I get stuck and start yelling lol I write it down solve it and it seems to work lol I appreciate the kind words .
The mat is very helpful, I had the basic blue but no references like the GN mat. I was going to do a video on using it for a year daily with modding and water, plus how to make sure you are really grounded because a lot of outlets reall y are not (if their older buildings/houses) what u think?
appreciate that, I may need to do a update though, only issue is, it is not gonna take longer then about 2 minutes to explain....lol But may be important. Basically if you skip a few chambers on the distro plate for whatever reason, you can just add liquid into those empty chambers and just put plugs to keep the liquid in there, and this would only be for looks, that way the distro has all chambers with liquid in them and not some with and some without. But I'll see if I will just add that to the comments instead. Glad you enjoyed, thank you
I tried finding the 2 lists I found when I did this video with no luck, I have pics of the lists for this exact distro plate, send me you email and I'll send the pics and the exact link for this Distro if you like
Great Video and really helped me to wrap my head around distro blocks. Now that I understand it more, is it possible to give up entire chambers and go from reservoir to reservoir? Basically Res > Pump > Radiator > GPU > CPU > Radiator (if two rad setup) > Back int reservoir? There by completely bypass the GPU and CPU chambers. Just because I really like the "blockness" of the distro plate but hate that all the pipes run in a single parallel to each other... if using it as intended.
I do not think thats possible because the chambers are actually entering a larger res, well the holes are behind the main res, i am sorry I am dum cannot explain without showing you lol But if you open it up and block the other holes up then maybe, sorry for the late reply.
sorry for the late response, I had surgery and I've been in bed not doing much of anything, If you watch my Polybius video which is 1 of the newer videos, its in there. Also I'll be posting pics on my facebbok page, Josef Marks
I am sorry I talk so long to reply, family issues and I hope u could give me a pass, but to answer your question, no and if you want to make sure u have good connection between a fitting and tube thats not aligned 100% they make offset fittings. Hope this answered ur question, again I apologize for the late reply
Hi. Thanks for the info! I'm curious about one thing: o also have a o11 dynamic case (not XL) and bouth this distro plate. It does fit but there are some gaps on the side so it moves. How didi you fixed the distro plate in teh front? There are no holes on the distro plate (and no hole on the lian li case). Thanks!
on the side of the distro there should be a metal brace (thin) with 3 holes running downward, inside of the case where you mount either a RAD or fans up against the back wall (240rad size area) you can see where you are suppose to screw the fans or rad into the case, instead use that for the distro, and only mount fans or rad on their left side because you will lose access to the right. If this did not help send your email and I'll send pics
@@2020Tech4U Hi! My plate is a little different than yours and didn't come with that black metal brace. But I've managed to keep it fixed by putting some rubber strips between tha plate and the case. It keeps everything in place and the plate only moves if I use some force. Thanks a lot for the response :).
can you use a distroplate to cool 1 singular component? with my future plan I want to do a triple split cooling for my gpu, cpu, and ram. with 3 radiators and lots of fans. is it going to be better for cooling to route it chamber to chamber and have it go through in a circle or do i have to do exactly like how you said?
Your Rads will act as reservoirs with how many your using so you can do whatever you like, at that point your distro will be how you visually see how much fluid you have left in your system and thats all, you can run a loop with just rads and a pump if you like lol I was just pointing out the intended way to use a distro but you can do whatever you want cause the Rads are whats going to handle cooling, 3 rads is a lot for that setup but I love overkill lol send me pics I would love to see it.
@@2020Tech4U thank you so much for this insight, it was very helpful but i have another question, if i have 3 d5 pumps in my system. how much power will it draw? i only have an 850w power supply for my 4080 paired with an 11700k and a rog xiii hero? will it be something that i have to upgrade or will i be okay?
@@chriskenny5269 The 4080 calls for 850w each of those pumps can pull upto 25w each maybe a lil more maybe, your CPU is rated for 95w TDP, plus all the RGB SATA's etc... Now all those wattages I stated are under max load (kinda, they can very) I would not OC (RAM exempted of course because it is a small increase) but you should be looking into a 1000w PSU and at a newer 3.0 ATX PSU for that 4080. So if you see your PC randomly shutting down when loading up a game or something, then the PSU is tripping the over current protection and you will have to undervorlt your GPU/CPU and this might help. Yes you should upgrade because you are leaving performance on the table. Why 3 D5's? I have used 1 for 3 360 Rads and had no issue.
I have O11 older style distroplate and it sucks. Well for me personally. Drain and leakage were some stuff I had issues. Will go classic universal again
Sorry for the time it took to reply, I can agree that the older style pump res is way more safer and can fill in the empty space of a case, the Distro is good for straight perfect lines but I can agree with you, I am heavily considering a new Pump RES for my PC also, again I hope I can get a pass on the reply taking so long
If you were only cooling a cpu in this scenario there is no reason to connect all those ports...all you need concern yourself with is the pump and chamber connected to the cpu. It would be ridiculous to even have that distro just for a cpu.
The simple answer is yes. The reason is that the fitting is the size of the tubing but the male side that actually goes into the radiator or distro or block is threaded for G quarter so all threading is G quarter, so never worry about the threading points of Rad's or blocks, they are all the same size, only the end of the fitting that the tube actually gets inserted into is size specific
@@saabzaydan6066 Yes I apologize for that, the openings are wide enough, just make sure if you put a RAD at the bottom of the case that you make enough room to keep it far as possible away from the distroplate, I had to cut the back of my case to allow for a 360mm RAD and this Distro in the Lian Li 011 dynamic mini. I show this in the video where I'm building that PC. ruclips.net/video/8907ftJoP74/видео.html

You can circulate from chamber to chamber by going component in component out to the next chamber.
great information. True that Chinese Bykski you have to ask them else no instructions
I learned long ago that a lot of Chinese companies do this, I kind of like the challenge lol
This was great mate. Thanks :)

Good video but you don't have to use every chamber. You just need to make sure it's a closed loop with all important components reached in series.
Great point!

quick question, do I need two radiators for one distro plate
No you can just connected the 2 ports together that would have gone to the RAD

Can I replace the pump with ek xtop d5 ( old version)? Anyone try it yet please let me know!
you can still run distro as 1 in 1 out cant you?
