    You could create this movement just using the revolute joint or cylindrical joint (which is easier!). Tell me where is 3 DOF in this kinematic? it has just 1 DOF

    So what is advantage of this joint? as it works as cylindrical one, spherical should work cylindrical and angularly at the same time.

    Why would anyone want to use the complexity and cost to use a ball joint to revolve? How can you make it rotate in all vectors?

    so bad, nothing else but simple cylindrical rotation performed on spheres, this not how spherical joint work, as there is no angular movement

    In place of Groove option can use shell option
