I think the figure(s) look awesome! Mine is on the way. The most consistent complaint I've seen is we're getting the Cartoon Collection version instead of the vintage Two Bad. This complaint, however, ignores Mattel stating and now restating all vintage figures will be released. I like the mix of lines going right now in MOTU and understand that mix is keeping the brand at retail and thus alive, so I can be patient until the figures I want hit the shelves/MC.
Hi! I got mine preordered too. And I don't care if origins vintage based comes later or before (I will get him anyway) I don't get much cartoon figures because I have the super7... But to me the complain about this figure is.... Tuvar and Badhra are not cartoon filmation characters (yes Two Bad is I know) but those 2 as separate characters are from the 200X Mike Young production. And that is why I buy em, but also to me is sad they didn't released a 200x detailed version with accesories and stuff... As I said, I got this anyway, but I would love another version instead. If you know what I mean.. Regards from Spain.
Love the figure, but the price is a easy no for me. 67€ for a single cartoon collection figure with a poor accessory and two bodies, two arms and two legs I don't plan to use... 😅
SDCC exclusives are meant to be rare and hard to get,. Sometimes companies will use a obscure concept to take that spot. Making a cartoon collection version of Two-Bad fits that spot. Hopefully the release of Origins Two-Bad will be more accessible for collectors who want him.
Biggest complaint..... should've included 3 COMPLETE figures in the box. Rare + pricey and then you still gotta buy another just to display TB in both forms.
I love the figure. My only complaint is that I would have my rather it been a $20 general release with just the one body. I may be alone here, but I'm never going to display him any other way. Also, I now have a fancy SDCC EE box that I feel like I have to keep.
There is a great deal of debate surrounding the production of the Cartoon Collection Origins line. Simply put, there's those like myself who place greater value on the separation of our love for the original cartoon versus our nostalgia for the 80s toys and our connection to them. Then you have the people who loved the cartoon and the toys, but desired for the toys to resemble the animated characters moreso. Neither side is wrong for what they represent as their ideal design. The cartoon collection caters to the enthusiasts that desired just that. The biggest issue that the other side is facing is that we are still waiting for our preferred nostalgia to be fulfilled also.
With all the extra parts he comes with to split him into Tuvar and Baddrah, people expected him to come with more accessories? Yea that would have skyrocked the price even more
When it comes to cartoon representation of the character(s) it makes sense they will look as close as possible to their screen appearance and that they come with accessories they had in the cartoon. I often had to debate this when people complained about Transformers Studio Series 86 Grimlock, Slag and Snarl not coming with their swords... it's simple, they never had them in the cartoon! However, if you are going to use toon accuracy as an excuse for Mattel packing Two Bad with no accessories other than the mirror, you should be consistent and also "complain" about them being split in two, which never happened in the Filmation cartoon. 😃 In general I agree with what you are saying, people complain too much (don't get me started on the Snake Lair complains, people act like they actually payed for the damn thing, not voted on a FREE poll!?), and my only real gripe with this figure is that it is an exclusive, which for international collectors sucks big time, so I really hope they will release him as a regular release without the extra parts. Honestly, this figure should have been a toy representation of Two Bad, but I understand Mattel did not want to make him a short-packed con-exclusive as heads would roll, which probably isn't the case with this one.
Hi AJ, I deliberately didn’t watch this video until I had my figure in hand. So, I’m not the biggest Two Bad fan, I preferred Spikor and Stinkor more as a kid (all 3 were released at the same time). So I couldn’t care less if his vintage Origins or Cartoon figure came first or not. Plus the character was so dumb in the cartoon I just disliked that characterisation I much preferred the 200X version. I think what has won this for me is the packaging is top notch! The box looks amazing on your shelf! I love that for some reason Mattel have incorporated the 200X origin into this Filmation design - that is wild! And I love stuff which comes out of left field. I also love that they included the Mirror of Avathar - it makes sense as it was in the same episode as TB and it’s a theme for this line to have artefacts included. I also love that this figure is fully interchangeable including the legs. The figure is very cartoon accurate. Now I’m pretty sure Mattel will release this Two Bad as a retail release. And we already know we’re getting the vintage origins version - anyone complaining about not getting that figure at this point is just tedium in the extreme. He’s guaranteed!😂 Thanks for the balanced review! I’m loving this set! And I’m not even the biggest Filmation fan!😮
In my own opinion, whats wrong is that they released a cartoon version before making a vintage origins remake. Other than that, i think it is a great figure/figures
It has been confirmed via an interview with Pixel Dan, that the department responsible for MOTU Origins already has a sculpted mock for the vintage version of Two-Bad. So he's not too far away.
I hesitated briefly (as I checked my credit card) and missed the pre-order, which was out in 10 minutes. But I wasn’t too sad because I kind of agree with the last criticism (which was essentially Pixel Dan’s critique). I’d like a Filmation-accurate single figure for the standard price. Alternatively, I’d like a combo figure that reflects the 200X origin (that’s a fun gimmick-and worth $50-if it were matched to the right continuity). But what I don’t really miss is spending $50 on something that’s mix of those and neither thing that I want 100%.
I collect it all and this figure is really lackluster to me. The Masterverse version is hands down the definitive modern Two-Bad. One of the very best figures ever, in ANY LINE imo. I have no problem mixing in my Masterverse Two-Bad with my Origins figures. The extra inch in height makes him that much more of a formidable foe. No complaints from me
14 Sec in right after the question: Its limited availability. 🙃 After finishing: Agree on all points; 'specially the last one 👍 About the lack of weapons... a look into the basement of my CG makes the Sorceress look like the Eternias branch president of the NRA. She could deck out everyone with everything.
My only complaint is lack of weapons. Why have the opportunity to make tuvar and baddrah as bounty hunters and not give them weapons to bounty hunt? They should have just gave us the screen accurate two bad without the extra bodies. The mirror is great though love any filmation artifacts they throw in. I dig the figure though I really do.
First you say it's okay that the figure has no accessories, since it's not based on vintage, or 200x, but on the Filmation series, however, then you're okay with the figure being split in two. How, if you said the figure is only based on Filmation and not 200x? Your closed figure defense is inconsistent on that point. Greetings!
I think I would be inconsistent if this Cartoon Collection Two Bad was *not* able to be separated into Tuvar and Baddrah and I complained wishing it could. We didn't see Two Bad separated in the cartoon (even though many assumed that was his origin) so how could I suggest the figure is lacking for not having that feature? The consistency is if Mattel threw in a shield for the heck of it, even though we didn't see it in the cartoon, I wouldn't be upset over it... like the Masterverse Revelation He-Man figure that came with a shield too that wasn't seen in the animated series. 🙂
You're right that Two-Bad didn't use any character specific weapons in the animated series however it would have been nice to come with something other than the mirror, perhaps another artifact.
Whats wrong with it ? The only thing wrong that is an origind and not a masterverse 😆 other than that. Looks great. They look stupid tho but thats acurate to the cartoon
Oh bullshit, you have not been waiting for the cartoon collection Too bad longer than the regular vintage inspired origins. Origins collectors have been waiting for the vintage version of too bad to show up in origins since Origins began in 2019. Cartoon collection has been out for less than a year so that’s not even possible.
I've been wanting MOTU figures that look like their Filmation counterparts since 1983. And until now, even with the Club Grayskull and As Seen on TV Cartoon action figure lines, we FINALLY got a Cartoon Two Bad in the "Cartoon Collection" Origins subline. So I have been waiting a very long time. 🙂 I've talked about my Filmation fandom a lot. Here is one occasion: 🙂 ruclips.net/video/DgPNpnCMHes/видео.htmlfeature=shared
We do have confirmation that there will be a vintage styled Origins Two Bad in the future. We just have to wait a bit longer.
Wrong is the f'n price

Why did they do exclusive? They don't want our money? Why don't they sell as much as we want?!
Biggest complaint..... should've included 3 COMPLETE figures in the box. Rare + pricey and then you still gotta buy another just to display TB in both forms.

The best thing about two bad was the ability to hit himself !!!
GOD I MISS THE HUMOR WE ALL HAD IN THE 80S !!!!! 😢
Thanks for positivity
I think Pixel Dan let his disappointment get the best of him. He really wanted a vintage Two-Bad.
I hope they release one, I'll get one of those, too.
It’s the people who don’t want to acknowledge that CC is part of Origins.
Actually, no it's not. Cartoon is not the same as Origins. They are two different lines.
There is a great deal of debate surrounding the production of the Cartoon Collection Origins line. I love both, although as a kid, I would've loved the Cartoon Collection
With all the extra parts he comes with to split him into Tuvar and Baddrah, people expected him to come with more accessories? Yea that would have skyrocked the price even more
I ordered mine already. It had the 2 separate figures , the extra torso piece , mini comic and mirror accessory. So I'm satisfied.
What's wrong with it? It got sold out fast.

Me as well
Looks awesome…
Package is better than figure.

I missed the few minute window 😢. I hope when they do the Origins version with two figures. Mattel says it’s already sculpted.
Good review.
Absolutely on the spot with this figure. I got mine and it’s awesome. Good review. Thank you 🙏
I can't wait for them to do Jitsu

I bought three. One to display combined, one to display separate, and one to scalp. 👍

The only thing (wrong) is no shield. Otherwise it’s an amazing set!!!
Hopefully we get a 200X version from mondo.
This set was a big pass for me, waiting for the Origins version 🍻

They needed make him big like krang or slacker his body and give him a bunch of weapons
What'a wrong is that Mattel hates collectors as you only can get it thru creations. I quit because of that. Thanks Mattel, saves me money👍
Firs thing wrong , its a cartoon edition
I passed have everything origins but too expensive and not what I wanted ill wait
You're right that Two-Bad didn't use any character specific weapons in the animated series however it would have been nice to come with something other than the mirror, perhaps another artifact.
Too many figures coming out with no weapons just give him something to hold it looks weird otherwise
I am still in denial that I paid like $60 for this.
Whats wrong with it ? The only thing wrong that is an origind and not a masterverse 😆 other than that. Looks great. They look stupid tho but thats acurate to the cartoon
I like it.
What’s wrong? Mattel MOTU team doe not listen to MOTU fans.
I thought this video was a review of the toy…

I don't like it
