It's obvious you have to try very hard to shoehorn your jokes and make yourself relevant to the video and you still end up with an unfunny mess of a comment 90% of the time. This isn't even slapstick, it's forced and extremely unfunny roleplaying.

umm, yeah, on the first day of the expansion. I was too hyped, wanted to try it out, and I really hoped that it would work (its a Warlock quest ffs, and I aint calling myself Warlockerino for nothing). Got my assed whipped by rogues and warriors pretty quickly, and now its just there... in my card collection... completely useless...
I crafted it too, biggest mistake of my life, I feel for ya man.
After getting only Ozruk as my lone legendary from 50 packs, I went and crafted quest and that shitty warlock beast.
they should change it to "suffer x damage on your turn"
If you think about it, the portal spawns two 3/2 imps every turn, for a total of 6/4 stats, which is equivalent stat count to a 5/5. That's the same thing as the quest being "reduce your board size by 1 and get a 5/5 at the end of every turn'.
Now compare that to the rogue quest.
How the fuck did this card get printed?
apart from jade idol and jaraxxus, its the only card that i know of that creates unlimited value. Thats the reason why its actually a strong card in a control matchup, but there isnt much control out there atm.

Klaidas B-vas rogue quest can't penetrate taunt warriors wall, can't outrun pirate warrior or even midrange hunter (i am not even sure it outruns tempo mage). 5/5 are not enough against control Paladin. And quest rogue even not guaranteed to kill otk priest... well jades are fucked, but jade druid is out of meta anyway. Turns out board control starting turn 6 is a bit too late... you can get away with it below rank 10, but after above that you struggle... and lots of wins in the first week or two were just a surprise effect, while nobody had counters yet.... and dirty rat is just so good against quest...

I want to play this fun deck that beats but instantly gets destroyed by cancer pirate and quest rogue. Vanish can easily take away the taunts. Good draws can stop a pirate warrior like evic and sap if you actually run it.
Unlucky mages get destroyed by turn 4. idk about hunters since every time I play that hunter deck I get destroyed. They always finish it by turn 3-4.
You are doing it wrong... If you see rogue quest you just smorc as much as possible and see the rogue panic... Like midrange hunter is basically play minion every turn and by the time they finish quest you have lethal on board.

Warlock quest being absolute garbage has nothing to do with the meta. It's just shitty, it forces you to play a completely inconsistent deck whatever you do, and the reward is so low impact that is usually never changes the outcome of the game you play.

Just make me choose what I discard and it could work. Then you could actually play control.
The problem is not the stats of the Imps. If you could get the quest out early enough, two free 3/2 Imps every turn is INSANE after a couple of turns. The problem is that by the time you play the quest you're just dead anyway, so they could literally be 5/5's and you'd still only win 1 in every 5 games if you were lucky.

Trump has lost his touch in this expansion. He will catch up once the decks are built and refined in the meta, and he will do well from there. But I will never watch Trump's rating videos again. His opinion as a pro has been completely invalidated by all of his lackluster predictions.

Trump has always had a hard on for value cards. I didn't watch his predictions for Ungoro, I didn't watch any actually, but that he'd get a card like this one wrong was a given.

Also you cant actually have a clue about how a meta will develope, when 3 sets rotate out and then a completely new one with a lot of new mechanics comes in. And since a card rating depends on the meta you currently have, it is quite hard to do. That quest rogue is insane against slower decks is obviously true, but you couldnt really know how many of these will be out there for example, because you dont only have to consider every possible Tier1/Tier2 deck, you also have to anticipate how people will play these and what is good against what. We had the same problem in WotOG. There are too many variables to guess the upcoming meta. Rating the quest 5 stars is wrong regardless, but it can have its place.
Also Trump is more vulnerable to critic by using his stars system, since he is more specific. Kripp just says something like "It might be good there, there and there", but actually never rates the card. Making fun of real attempts to rate cards from that position is quite dumb, since he didnt even try.

In that case you're trading 7 hand cards for the portal. I'm pretty sure that isn't any good at all.
I think the deck would be too situational given that you'd need to have 8 cards in hand by around turn 10 (when you play Deathwing).
Hearthstone is pretty fast and usually you will be forced to play several cards on a turn to stay in the game. Even with the Warlock hero power you'd only expect such cards surplus in a control mach-up. Unfortunately the reward is low against another control.

The warlock quest should be discard 4 cards and the rogue should be play 6 cards with the same name

Seems a bit drastic, I think you underestimate the difference increasing or decreasing by just 1 can make. If the Rogue quest took 5 of the same name it would be considerably more difficult except with a god draw, would honestly probably kill the deck, make it so slow anyone playing it would just get rushed down while they're trying to pull shenanigans, sort of like the current Warlock quest. Meanwhile if Warlock was only 5 discards, that's potentially one or two less Life Tap's in a game, a whole turn sooner you get to play the portal...that might be all you need. It might not be amazing, but I'm pretty sure at 4 discards it would be completely broken, almost always playing Portal by turn 5 or 6. Sounds familiar...
This quest (and discard cards in general) would be better if you could choose your discards

Pepper Pilliod I was thinking about this earlier, maybe some cards you get to choose, some are random, cards like doomguard make you choose one and discard one at random. I feel like total control over discard would be far too strong

Hugh, The Poet looks like a really fun card to play.
I like the Poet he is awesome, and not potentially broken.
Make the poet to require to have only one copy of a card in your deck and instead of shuffle make it discard. Then it will be balanced.

I think this quest should also set your hero´s health to 30, so it is actually useful.
Or perhaps restore the health you've lost due to Life Tap. Restoring to 30 seems a bit too broken.

The thing is, the quest is 5 stars. The decks building it aren't. The quest has the best reward in the game by value standards (technically surpassing warrior's if he's hitting an imp each turn). But discarding 6 cards rots your value, and warlock doesn't have the healing to keep up with any direct damage to face: they basically have 12 total healing with 2 earthen rings and 2 siphon souls. But when you're tapping and getting beat down, you can't avoid that.

If you mean jade idol is better value, I was going solely off of other quests, not the game as a whole. Yeah, jade idol is better, as is infinite cabalist tomes, etc. But compared to other quests, I think this one is the most explicit value
Unfortunately, cards don't exist in a void. They're only as good as the meta allows them to be. And the meta will never allow Lakkari Sacrifice to be good.

I really love Kripp deck names.
My only two legendaries from packs were two lakkari sacrifices, so i tried everything to make it work. When you get mal's imp early you are in a good shape, but most often than not, if you are in a good shape, you probably don't need to play the portal to win.
Kudos to Mister "Rogue" in 10:00 playing Rogue against Kripp.

is there any way of fixing this other than either loading warlock with cards that do shit when discarded, or letting you choose what to discard?
Everyone builds the deck wrong. Renounce Darkness is a staple to the quest warlock deck. The trick is you run all the discard synergy you can, complete the quest as fast as possible. Drop the portal then renounce. You need to run 2 of encase you discard one. Then at that point you have a deck of cheapened cards and a value generator on the board and no more discard cards. Seemed to do well when I saw it being played.
I didn't like this quest at first but that only was before they put in Bloodreaver Gul'dan. That combined with the lakkari sacrifice quest makes it more valuable.
I have a deck idea, how 'bout a control warlock that only uses Deathwing and soulfire for discarding, so that on turn 10 you can discard 4 to 6 cards and complete your quest. This way you can reset the board on turn 10, have a 12/12 and a recover mechanism (the imp portal)
did you think about playing the quest in a control deck but only playing death wing and the 2 felhounds for discarding ? I can't test because I'm poor but it might work.
This quest would be quite a bit better if the portal didn't take up a minion space.
The thing that sucks so bad about this is it takes up your first turn. A good discard zoo deck must play stuff on turn one that actually effects the board.

another good thing to with that deck is not play it...
Tried to make something similar work at legend yesterday. Lost every single game vs aggro/tempo. Won some vs taunt warr.
I think the problem lies in the incredibly weak healing cards availible to warlock at the moment. Most games vs tempo you can just about finish quest before dying (even when the deck is loaded up with taunts and heals).
I got this card from the first pack I openned this expansion. It was even the first card I hovered over.

Do you think the discard mechanic would be better / healthier if the discarded card wasnt random? for example "discard the leftmost card in you hand" or leftmost and rightmost cards stuff like that
