Abell was a tough challenger, but Pulev was like a shark smelling blood in the water after the first knockdown.

Most of the HW fighters I've seen take just ONE shot to the body like Pulev threw, were counted out. This guy got up from four, if that's not tough I don't know what is! Have you ever been hit in the liver? It locks you up and makes you fold.

I rate Pulev very highly, went back to watch this figh again and notice how he hid the right hand instead of throwing it straight, he turned it into a hook at the last minute when he got adjusted to abell's style, has good footwork and that knockdown was more of the two fighters feet tangling up which is common when a southpaw fights an othordox fighter. Pulev wont be scared to engage with Wladimir, so Klitschko will need to land punches heavy and not allow Pulev the chance to get confident. I have done a breakdown video for this fight. Check it out.
Ye I'm watching his fights again too but to be honest Pulev does control the distance and range good but looking at his guard his very wide open and does lack that knockout power, even a inferior boxer like Arreola knocked this guy in 1 round..

Pulev should fight with A class boxers, like Povetkin, Solis, Adamek, Helenius or Fury. After these ones, he and people will see that he is ready for Wladimir Klitschko or not. Fighting with the boxers who are lower than him does not bring anything to him.

That is interesting, if the money on table is not enough.. Pulev should fight with Odlanier Solis or Povetkin. These fights would be fascinating and Pulev can see his level truly before a probable Klitschko fight.

Pulev is awkward looking and has one of the most restricting stances I've seen in a so-called ranked fighter, but he stays out of trouble, maintains his balance and punches fast and accurately. I pick him to beat Tyson Fury convincingly and providing the ref doesn't allow Klitschko to push down on him I would make him favourite over Klitschko.
Kubrat fought very dirty. Even against this nohoper... Im disappointed =(
Pulevs style is predictable and can be easily exploited it's shame this guy didn't have the tactics or ability to deal with the overated Pulev.

Abell has a short reach a disadvantage to him as he can't fight well on the inside, he also lacks the power, and couldn't cut off the ring well as enough to catch the dreadful pulev, fury will pick him apart quickly, pulev wouldn't last too long with fury either, and fury is not really that good. I just wanted to see Abell fight before I back fury on Saturday night

And probably the winner of Wilder/Stiverne after... they should fight WHO to convince ?
And Vitali retire at 41, Wlad is currently 38, it's old. Okay he had some big losses but he's undefeated since 10 years, he unified 3 belts, he's ALWAYS very well prepared (you never saw him chubby like almost every legend of boxing...) I think K brothers deserve a lot of credit.

He'll need it. Would you like to make a wager? Thought not. Pulev is soft and is too old to improve much. You do have some amazing weightlifters though. Some of the best pound for pound lifters ever.

Kubrat Pulev consists of slow speed, lack of technics, bad defence, worse stamina... in fact equals cheap PR. his opponent from #117 ranking position (7 losses and 5 with ko) but really disturbs him. evident prepaid circus
Hey Tony, I know you are russioan and you feel very santimental towards Klitscko. However, this is a very misinformed and opinion of yours. We have been observing the fight technique and stamina of Kubrat Pulev for quiet some time and it seems that he has very good technique and impressive stamina. As a matter of fact, many experts in the boxing world believe Pulev would not have much of a resistance with Klitschko.
tony casan If you want prepaid circus, watch the career of Klichko in the last couple of years. Funny how they pick his opponents. With each and every day Klichko becomes more and more a media and political star than a boxer, which is sad, because he started so well. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with Pulev. Note also the fact that there were so many boxers, who cancelled matches with Pulev (why? ;)) so in the last 2 years he got the chance to fight only like 5 times because of that and as we know the best practice is on the ring. This match here was announced like less than 2 weeks before it actually took place, so there was no time to prepare. I won't comment on technique or bad defence because I'm not a knowledgeable person on this topic but I'll comment on your view about his speed and stamina. First of all this is heavy weight thus most (if not all) boxers in this category are definitely not the fastest boxers out there. As for the stamina - I think he proved many times he has plenty. Watch previous matches and see how his opponents are so tired, while he is jumping around them.
Pulev can fight 20 rounds...He is fast on his feet.Has confidence,has one of the best jabs in the heavyweight division and is smart.Not a knockout artist,but a smart fighter who secures his wins with absolute domination.
