Its the 2nd song that she has written in hope that her father will reach out to her who hasn't spoken to her for over 4yrs because she chose love over family, she is now married to her one and only partner DAVE LAMAR whom she married on the 28th of June 2021, her father disapproved of there relationship and shared his frustration all over social media and tried to embarrass the brilliant MORISSETTE, she is one if the most humble human beings you will ever cone across 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
Wonderful reaction. You have certainly fallen into the Mori-wormhole. Yes, this is an original written by Morissette and her husband (Dave Lamar). This song is the beginning of a new phase for Morissette. You will see less 'fireworks' and more storytelling from Morissette. Morissette has covered some of the greatest (and most difficult) songs in the world....but the pace was starting to take its toll and she has decided to go in a new direction. There will still be flashes of 'fireworks' but mostly used as accent pieces as opposed to a feature in the song. Great artist change will time and their hand steadies.....we are seeing a great artist begin to mature and grow. We are in for more greatness!!!
I absolutely LOVE the new Morissette. To me, she NEVER had to prove anything with her crazy high notes. Her lyrics was just spectacular and the layered voices in the background was breathtaking.
It seems to be another song about her relationship with her father and it seems she’s throwing in the towel with ever making amends.
Yes, this song is her original, she wrote it together with her husband Dave. It's a wordplay of "wishing well" where people throw coins to make wishes, and wishing someone well. This is now the era where Mori not just covers other singers' songs or interpret songs written for her, but she now writes her songs. 🥰
It actually started during the pandemic, when she finally found the time and courage to go into songwriting. The first outcome of this creative process were 5 songs that comprised her EP "Signature", namely "Love You Still", "Phoenix", "Will You Stay", "Trophy", and "Mirror". She posted all these in her channel, the music videos, the live band performances, and the RX93 radio live performances. Please check them out. Oh, and if you really like the Wish Bus, she also performed these songs there, except for "Mirror". I look forward to watching your reactions on her original songs.🥰

In her recent vlog Mori mentioned that she is now self managing her own career and also that she’s taking a different direction with regards to her music. Instead of focusing on others expectations of her voice she is focusing on a new path and direction where she has more control over what she sings and how she sings it. This is another one of her originals where I believe is an example of what she is trying to achieve with regards to her future music. I could listen to her sing the phone book because I’m absolutely in love with the tone of her voice.

Mori sang on this day was one of three, she sang with Ferdinand Aragon who wrote the song for a friend's wedding a few years ago called ANG PAGHUWAT a beautiful song, then Mori and Dave sang a duet, sorry I don't know the title I have only heard it once, now at the last WISHING WELL you hear the crowd outside cheering, ENJOY.
