LTO barcode scanning

The Land Transportation Office is getting a lot of flak lately on the implementation of new plates.
For the purpose of being objective - I installed free barcode scanning apps on devices - Note 1 / Note 2 / S3 / Note 3 / Note 4 / Kata i3s / iPhone 4s / iPhone 5s / iPhone 6plus - to test if the LTO barcode on new plates are readable.
Featured device on the video is the oldest in the series - Samsung Galaxy Note 1 .
I cross tested it with a working barcode from a Marlboro Product and based on my testing using mobile phones and free bar code scanning apps - the LTO bar code is readable. Any bar code scanner that supports Code 128 format will be able to parse the data on the barcode.
For how LTO will handle the data, its for us to wait and see on the actual implementation.
