It's really difficult because in this situation the justice system can only do so much. We SAW it happen but imagine those scenes didn't play on our screen. Because there's no CCTV, no texts, no evidence and it's just hearsay Amy could very well just be being spiteful because she didn't like Aaron and his relationship with summer (ofc we know that's not the case)
I think it's already good enough that a suspect can be interviewed just based on victim testimony and no evidence. That doesn't happen for victims of other crimes, you have to have some sort of proof before they can be interviewed let alone arrested. That arrest is going to be on Aaron's record for the rest of his life now, and plenty of men have records like that for crimes they didn't commit. Even when exonerated, rape suspects STILL get their convictions disclosed "just in case". A rape allegation, if it leads to so much as an arrest, can ruin someone's life. If not being let down by the justice systems means being able to have someone imprisoned purely based on testimony cause the victim "must be telling the truth"...
@@MrProbeNWatch did you not notice that Amy's story changed? When she first confronted him about it, Aaron asked her if she remembered taking her top off and kissing him and she said she didn't. When she told the story to the police she recalled everything up until the point that she passed out. When she's told Summer about it she's acting like it was purely an attack of some sort, forgetting the details about what they were doing beforehand. There have also been a couple of looks from Amy which indicate that she feels bad about reporting him (e.g. when the police were driving him away). Might just be poor writing, but there's still the possibility at this stage that she may not be telling the truth.
@@MrProbeNWatch maybe that creppy wirdo Brain had secret cameras set up in amys room he could have installed them when he briefly lived there. So perhaps it is on camera. I wouldnt put anything passed Brian would you?
What she said is also nonsense, the police are not decriminalising r@pe...this isn't a Rotherham situation. There is no evidence, it's literally just Amy's word. For someone who has been in prison, you would think Tracey would have some understanding of the burden of proof.
@@thereverend3957 that the police can't send someone to prison based on victim testimony alone? And from one victim. That does not equate to "decriminalising r@pe". Steve’s right, people are not stupid, if Tracy goes through with her plan people will put two and two together and Amy will be humiliated.
Tracy's right about one thing: loads of people being let down by the justice system

Actually looking at my comment, then remembering it's just Amy's word against Aaron's, I take back what I said

Amy’s right to be angry with Tracy here. She does not need her trauma to be paraded around the streets.
Tracy is making things worse
The so-called 'justice' system is pathetic.
Do you think it would have been preferable for him to be sent to prison for over a decade just based on her testimony?
So just lock up anyone who gets accused of a crime. 🤔 is that what you want? Be carful what you wish for one day it might just happen
Same old Tracey her way or the highway all about Tracey .. everything’s what Tracey wants .. it’s a disgusting situation true but have respect

Ppl don’t realise it’s not down to police if someone is released it’s down to the CPS and courts
That going to make things worse
It still highlights a serious issue.
