You caught a big one!!! Just like the ones I get on my farm! Last year we had SO MANY snakes that were after our eggs. This is really good news!!! I'm going to have my sons make 4 of these traps! Thanks, Blake! 😉
I wonder if there's a way to trap copperheads with this trap? 2 of my dogs have gotten bitten several times! Sadly, my dogs just never learn! Any ideas for copperheads?
I love the pipe you used to do your planting!! Brilliant! Never seen anyone do it that way! It'll sure SAVE my back and knees!
Your flowers and tomatoes are so beautiful and healthy! I look forward to hearing your tomato growing tips! 🤩

This same trap should be able to trap copperheads. You want to place them along walls. If you know where there are a lot of copperheads you can make a temporary wall with plastic and posts and set the trap along side it. Thank you Irene good luck with your snakes poor puppies!

I watched first video on making trap and wasn’t sure it would work. You proved me wrong. Good job! I’ll be making one soon for my snake egg eating problem. I’ve caught several by hand in the act this summer and relocated them.

Great video! My wife is absolutely terrified of snakes. We need to transport some harmless snakes that just love our woodpile. Either they go or I have to stack all the wood myself. Thanks

Can't believe I just found this. Called one neighbor and he was sick. Called the police - 3 hours later, the 1/2 dead snake - had poisoned the mice and he took the bait and ate the mouse. After 3 hours with the police and 5 of them, the snake man came and he finally had the energy to move on. He was very unresponsive, but did move every 10 mins or so, but the supposed snake policeman came with a bucket and a stick????? The snake had disappeared. That was 3 hours I won't get back.
Now, I have a bigger rat snake - glad I am not in TX, mine is much skinnier - but very long. Not sure where I can remove him to - but will figure that out after catching him.
TY - been a rough year gardening this year 2022. Hope you see this.

    I appreciate the good idea.
May I ask, how do you k1ll the snakes without contact or having them go outside the trap?

We put an egg in it. Works like a charm. Snakes won’t eat dead or cooked meat so eggs are perfect. Hope you catch that sucker!

    How do you release safely?

You just open one end and set it down. Walk away and it will slither out and away on it’s own.
