Thank You! This was awesome. My CR-10 arrived 45 minutes ago and it is up and assembled following your instruction. I appreciate you taking the time to do this and it definitely helped me.
Happy to Help!
Thank you so much! It was so nice of you to take your machine apart, just to show us how to put it together. Thank you!
happy to help.
Well, I certainly got a surprise today. My CR-10 print bed was (again) failing to heat up. After reading through various Facebook posts about such issues, I decided to inspect the wiring connectors inside the control box. The good news is that all connections seemed to be tight. However, as I was turning the unit over to reinstall the base plate, I heard a rattle. I gently shook the control box and a screw fell out of the control box. As best I can tell it was a bed leveling screw for the CR-10! Well, I'm glad I spotted that issue. I put the screw with the rest of my spare CR-10 parts. Although I didn't find anything loose (besides this stray screw), the CR-10 immediately started heating the bed plate when I next tried to start a print. So, you might want to give your control box a gentle shake sometime....it's not normal for it to rattle!
I have never heard of that happening but i guess there is a first for everything. I just don't understand why a loose screw would cause your bed not to heat up. Well, i am happy you got your printer working fine. Good Luck and happy printing.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I'm about to purchase a CR-10 and saw a link to your video on the CR-10 Facebook group. I will be coming back to watch again when my printer arrives.
good choice bud, cr-10 is great. also check out this video, things you need before your printer arrivals. happy printing ruclips.net/video/I0mBsBPcZGE/видео.html
Thanks for the excellent assembly tutorial…my printer is arriving today.
tks a lot for this first video. it helped me mounting mine in less than 45 minutes just with my smartphone playing this video next to me while i was following your instructions. tks a lot man. tomorrow the second part. best regards from Paris.
Happy to help. Good luck with your future prints.
Thanks dude! Best setup tutorial I've found on the CR-10 !
darryl moore thanks, happy to help!
for 3:20 three of the six screws (for me) had hex columns under them you tighten/loosen. I am tightening them until the base moves. If you find a wheel that is not tight enough AND does not have a hex column. Go and grab the provided allen key and tighten the allen screw on the one in question until it moves the base.
I am tightening them enough so you should be able to rock the wheels anticlockwise, then clockwise with no slipping
Thanks a ton. I have a manual, but it’s not all that practical(to me). It’s like they wrote thinking we should have a strong sense of putting it together instinctually. Geez. But I enjoyed putting mine together watching your tutorial. Great job!👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you sir and good luck!
Thanks for your detailed video instruction.
I just got this printer for Christmas, and even though mine is slightly newer, your tutorial was amazing! Perfectly explained! Thank you!
Same dude! What are you gonna print first?
Me too
I printed out the test files, and now I’m printing out a couple Pokémon cookie cutters to Make some cool Christmas cookies!
@@trevenritko738 thats so dope man!!!! I made some chip clips for my mom 😂😂 now I am priniting a mini mandalorian statue
Happy to help and good luck to you guys.
Great vid. Thanks. Used it to build mine. One thing I would mention (maybe I missed it) but the support plate with limit switch had a bit of slop in the screw holes. As a result, mine couldn't auto home. I had to loosen the screws and lift the plate with my fingers while thightening.
I haven't run into that problem but thanks for letting me know increase someone else runs into the same problem. Thanks sorry for the audio quality, Good luck and happy printing.
SAN TUBE , yeah it was so low that it couldn't fully close the limit switch during auto home. It just hit the limit and continued to try and go down. I had to reach in and hit the switch with my thumb to stop it. I thought maybe it was hitting the glass so I dropped the bed a little and still no luck. Finally I figured I'd try lifting it and that did the trick.
thank you so much for all the detailed information. this was really really helpful with clear directions. keep up the good work. hooray.
Happy to help! sorry about the audio was my first video.
no problem. your videos are awesome. thank you so much. I've been watching your playlist and subscribed. Yay!

Thank you very much
Happy to help!
thank you thank you thank you
easy like lego
Right on in
Thanks a lot Man!
happy to help.
Tunning? Did you mean to type 'tuning'?
you got it.
Is it enough to tighten 3 wheels under the bed or it is better to tighten all 6?
you can't tighten all six because only three have whats called a centric nut. You can only tighten those, funny thing is i had that same question when i start ha ha. Good luck and happy printing.
SAN TUBE thank you
Happy to help!
Does the key for tightening the bolts comes with the printer?
The tools is all you should need to adjust anything on the printer. So yes.
Thanks pal.
happy to help.
I have cr10mini, i need it's profile for cura.
I don't have a profile for the mini but maybe i will have one out in the future.
The first thing I am printing is a 3D Printer and then I am gonna print 2 more....BaaHAHAHAHA
What software do we use to make 3d prints?
i Haven't made on in a while but i was using fusion 360.
When my CR-10 shows up i think a little loc-tite is in order.
or a new glass from your local glass shop, its cheaper that way.
I can’t figure out where the wires go.
Update, wires are hooked up but bed leveling is a bi***
Hey alex, sorry bud but what wire are you talking about
SAN TUBE I'm not even sure. I putvthem how u did it but when I try to print it just goes to the far end and starts getting stuck so I have to turn it off so motor doesn't burn out
SAN TUBE I'm so close to returning it
pretty sure you have your wires crossed. go into the control box and mainly move it axis. If you move y and x moves then you know you got the wires mixed.
SAN TUBE got the wires figured out. As far as videos on RUclips go for setting this thing up, yours is by far the best.
I don't usually comment on RUclips videos. But you did a great job! with your help I managed to set up my printer in no time. (received it this morning, with your video got it together by the end of the video) keep up the good work!
Thank you very much
Happy to Help.
First I thought: OMG tutorial but says he is new.
But at the end: You Sir did a perfect job. Thx.
Great guide. Don't know how I could have managed without it. My printer arrived with no manual or instructions at all. Creality should hire whoever made this video.! Thanks
thanks a lot david, happy you enjoyed it. Check out the other videos before you start will same you heaps of time. happy printing.
Your intro music is WAY too loud.
DeathCap Studios, I have fixed that issue in the future videos. Sorry for that
Cannot even hear what is being said.
Ya this was my very first video so i know audio isn't that great. But the video itself should have helped.
awesome video man! thanks for mixing down the intro/outro audio on future videos!!! you did say that this was your first round of videos, so no worries!!! the video was massively helpful -- i only needed your videos to set mine up :)
Ok ok, let's stop bashing the man's quality. It's his first video haha
really great job explaining everything. I will be using this video as my guide when I get my cr10. thanks for doing this video.
Hi! Thank you for this video!
33:44 - "minimum, maximum, you know - all that other good stuff...." which noone knows about because there's no manual! :D
My CR10 should be here in a couple of days. I’ll definitely be re-watching.
thanks, wish I had found this before I received my CR10. I do suggest that people make sure each axis is square to the other axis.
Really useful. Instructions with this were useless and this video saved me. Thanks so much,
Happy to help!
Very good. I am waiting for my printer to arrive and with this intro I should have no issues.
Amazing explanation. Thank you! I liked and subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Installing my cr-10 right now. Thank you. You re really helping.
Very well done SAN TUBE, a saviour video - I just had my CR10 delivered today (two weeks earlier than expected (wow)), and although I am a (now retired) engineer, both mechanical and software, but putting those end sensor brackets on had me totally beat and confused. Maybe becaue they refer to the Z axis in the so called instructions, but I tried almost every possible position without success, and then found this video - really simple ain't it, when yu know how of course.. Equally the wiring is certainlly less than trivial . While I was watching I tried to get ahead of you, but quickly realised I had screwed up when the print head could not move up far enough without pulling the wires out !!!!!!! Your explanation was totally perfect.
THANKS again for this, it is a true life saver for anyone who has just received their CR-10. 12/10 points !
Thanks Mr Tuner it means lot. Good Luck and happy printing. PS: if you ever have questions feel free to ask.
Good vids keep up the work man 👍👍
Thank you for making your guides. i just assembled my cr10 and printed boaty with zero issues. i attribute this to these awesome guides. Even someone with zero experience can do this with these great guides.
Thanks, Happy to help!
Volume too low.
I also have a wire that doesn't seem to go anywhere and it has a big plastic piece at the end of it. Label there says filament detector but can't figure out where the damn thing mounts
Man....this video brings me memories. This was the first video I ever watched to learn how to put together my CR-10 Creality 4 years ago!! Just wanted to stop by and show some love....keep doing your thing VJ🤙🏾👊🏾
Thank you for this video. i habe ordered my cr-10 today and your video is the perfect preparation for installing the whole thing. Your video will save me a lot of trouble!
You mite run into a few issue if not then your good. Check out the problems and solutions video increase you run into a problem. Good Luck and Happy Printing.
All I could find was version 3 videos. Then, I came upon yours! It was not lengthy at all. It was perfect, I could not figure out the wiring! Although the cables are marked X, Y & Z, the spots they connect to are not. I am beginner and your video got me up and running on the first try! Thanks!
The best suggestion I can offer after buying a CR 10 and dealing with all of the potential problems it could possibly have right out of the box, don't waste your money. Buy another brand of printer. They have power supply issues, often require you to flash the motherboard before you use it. Failures on the y and z axis are extremely common. The head unit often requires you to open it up and fix loose connections. Poor quality from the factory leads to all of these issues. I will never drop good money on a Creality printer ever again.
Great Job! Filling a need! You are Awesome!
Great vieo ! Mine is not extruding anything from day 1... There was some very thing black PLA going out the very first seconds when I tried to push manually the white PLA provided by Banggood. Then any print would result in very little plastic and huge quantity of air... Very frustrating !
Wow, thank you so much. I was super excited to get my CR10 but at a loss on assembly. Your video was perfect!
Thanks happy to help.
The screws for the T-Shaped fixing block and the Z stepper limit switch you have to turn the bolts on the inside sideways so it catches the frame on the inside and pulls it tight. They way you showed is wrong. If you just put them in the same direction of the metal from were the screws go in like you did they are going to not have good tightness and will wobble and loosen up as you do prints. The instruction book even says to do it the way I said not the way you showed. Other than that spot on with everything else.
Nice and relaxed tempo, makes it easy to actually follow along the assembly, you've also managed to stay on topic, unlike many others.
Mathias :P lol thanks, happy to help.
Lol ikr others were "setting the tape on fire" when unboxing idek xD
I have been looking for a Disassembly video and cant find one! If you could do one that would be awesome. Im disassembly because I am moving to another country and need to pack it up! I am trying to work my way backwards with this video
Just given one as a present from my mate who got printer with lcd 😱 so this will be to slow for him now 😂 but I will watch this when I’m putting it together 👍
Whats that you say??? Your video is so quiet....Great video though! Gonna start printing my own custom army guys!
I had to move and picked up my creality and when I unpacked it over one year later, I had no idea what I was doing. It was in pieces and the documentation did not survive the move. You saved me!
I can't tell if the big fat pieces of tape that are supposed to go on the glass serve a purpose or not. It also doesn't matter if they do, because I ruined them trying to get them stuck on the glass the right way. :/
Thanks soo much your the only one who explained what was happening to mine it kept going to the front like you said :0 your a life savor!
Thanks so much for taking your time and showing me how to put my printer together! i followed along and it came out great! thanks again!
What is the length and width of the BASE for the CR10S? I just bought one and want to make sure I get a large enough table/stand to put it on. Height is not an issue.
Sorry to say i have been away from my home for the past week i can let you know when i get back. Make sure you count for the control box too not just the printer.
You gotta work on volume. Intro was 150% and voice was 25% volume.
How long can I leave the PLA filament on the holder? Will it go bad? Great video by the way
thank you so much Sr. i just got today my 3D printer, before that i check out most of your videos and i like the way you give every single detail and explain perfectly every thing, so here i'm watching your video step by step at the same time that im assembling my 3d printer, thank you so much keep up the good content :)
Happy to help!
Did you make or buy that y axis pulley cover at the end (the back side)? Mine does not have that
I am about to pick up one of these printers from my friend to try out. Thanks for your video!
Why would you trust a cheap walmart surge protector on your new 400$ 3d printing rig? That's bizarre. Thanks tho.
Thats all I have lying around. You are correct use something much better.
May I suggest a little trick we use in the Radio Controlled Airplane circle ? If you would us a drop of BLUE Threadlock Liquid on each screw, and bolt; They will not work, or vibrate loose. The up side to the BLUE Threadlock is that you can still remove the bolts, and screws later for service, and/Or repairs. Do NOT USE RED THREADLOCK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES because once you do: The bolt/Screw you use it on Will NEVER Come off again!!!!. They will Snap before you can Ever releasethem.
Agreed, but it can be removed if you take a heat gun to it. May take some time but you can loosen it after a few minutes.
I didn’t flip mine over before installation, is that bad?
Hello,thank's for your video's,but i have a problem with my cr10
the parts for tender the belt is just plastic or plastic/metal ?
Because i have not plastic, and for tender my belt is just impossible
my bed (on axe y) advanced,but don't back,i don't stop that,only with interruptor...
if you have a fix,tips ?
thank's
Willy Bender Rodriguez it's metal. But watch the video starting at 14:50, it will show you how to tighten both belts
Cheers man, you have the only cr10 assembly video with the actual assembly part. :)
LoL, Happy to help!
Thanks for your guide! Very useful helping me setup my printer, much better than the instructions bundled.
happy to help!
Many thanks for such a very useful video. I hope to receive my Cr-10 in semptember. Unfortunately I bought it on Gearbest but I read somewhere that it is out of stock even if they continue to sell it. I will use this video if and when I will have my 3D printer. Many thanks again
ffrillici79 happy to help
Good job! But please skip the loud music intro... some people watch these videos at night and that annoying loud noise is disruptive, btw, there is a difference between a surge protector and a power strip, don't misled your viewers, but otherwise thanks for making the video, Good Job! ;)
Thanks, this was my very first video didn't have great editing skills. Sorry for the intro music.
First youtube video? Nicely done.
Good information. Way more helpful than the manual. I used your video in conjunction with the manual and the manual still confused me. =)
I would have been lost without this. Thanks.
Happy to Help!
Oh, Heavens! THANK YOU! My unit came with instructions in Chinese. I had no clue where to put anything. THANK YOU! A MILLION LIKES!!!
Happy to Help!
yayaya thx for helping me now my bed doesn't wobble at all
happy to help!
Disappointed with Gearbest US. Half the assembly tools missing. Its a good job i had substitutes laying around. Otherwise a good printer for the price. Noise wise, i cant see what the problem is. Do these users have hearing of a mouse??
Lol, compared to other printers out there the fan is louder but it doesn't bother me either. As for Gearbest, its a trade off between price and service.
I have that Problem in which the Heating Bed comes forward and getting stuck, instead of going back, but I did connect X and Y correctly like u have shown in this video.
Can you help me please ?
Nevermind, I just switched Y with Z... I guess it got just incorrectly marked
How long did yours take to get to you from when you ordered it? I just ordered one 2 days ago! I’m in Louisiana :)
Depends but mine was about 5-8 days.
I put my cr 10 together by watching your video. Really great information mate, thank you. I just watched you and listened good and followed along. Perfect.
happy to help!
Excellent video as far as info. In the future, up the voice level, forget the background music. But overall, thank you, thank you, thank you for making this!
happy to help.
I did not count the amount of "This was produced in China".. But are the Iphones not also produced in china ;) I think it is a question of the price not the country .. Good information, but the loud intro is preventing myself to recommand it to my friends
Sorry about that. My editing skills, well i didn't have any lol. I reedited the video and adjusted all the sound including the intro. Please take a look and tell me what you think: ruclips.net/video/KTAPC9_HFh0/видео.html. Good Luck.
I tried to assemble mine tonight, but everytime I do autohome it "fails" and keeps trying to push forward. You mentioned that you connected the heatbed to the x axis instead of the y axis. I don't know what you mean by this. Where in your video did you connect the heatbed to anything?
Sorry maybe i was not to clear, what i meant to say was i had my Z & Y axis wires switched and that was the problem. just go back and double check to make sure you have the right plugs in the right slots. Good Luck.
Your guide was very helpful, just got my printer. However, one thing missing from your video is the installation of the glass plate to the heat bed. There are two rectangular-shaped adhesive strips that came with the printer, but there are no instructions in the manual as to how to install them.
Sorry or late reply. Don't use those. If your going to use type go with the blue painters tape. I would recommend trying to print straight on glass.
Thanks SanTube - got my CR-10 yesterday and this video is the first thing I found which seems like a manual so thanks :D :D
Lee happy to help.
Very helpful video. Thanks for posting.
Awesome Video guided me right through the process Thx man
Happy to help, sorry about the sound quality.
Greatly appreciated. Mine came with only one page of instructions. But thanks to this vid it's been no problem, thanks.
happy to help!
Thank you so much for your video! Just got mine today and this is perfect. Hope you are doing well in 2020!
Fantastic! I am doing well in 2020, thanks for asking.
My nozzle is really close to the metal bed and no room for the glass. Can the bed be lowered enough to fit the glass under it safely? I seen adjusting the Z stop but have no clue what that is or what screws it could be.
Check to see if you can tighten the screw under the bed to bring the bed lower, if that doesn't work then on your left side the is a z limiter switch. Try to unscrew it and rise it up a little this way the z axis stops a little here. sorry for late reply. If these two things don't work please let me know.
26:25 single Z stepper and 2 stepper motors on the same side !
