Met him in a club in Portugual. He wasn't in the VIP section and allowed me and some friends to take a photo. A manager can't be as candid in interviews as a player, as he has a greater responsibility than the players. And if you had any common sense, you would know and understand that.

Despite what some fans say Bernado is our best professional. He does everything the Pep asks of him. He plays every position he is instructed to play. He makes some mistakes but over a season very few. He won't be a legend, but he is a legend. He keeps us ticking over and works insanely hard. We are very lucky to have this superb player at our club. If we win a trophy this season, Bernado will be instrumental in that win.

You really can't compare both. Bernardo obviously went further in school.. and he already had an intermediate English level prior to coming to the UK. On the other hand, Ronaldo had zero English before joining United.
PS: I am not saying that more education equals better English, no, but it helps sometimes.
Sérgio Aguero spent a whole decade in England and his English is just not so good, period. Dare I say south American players have difficulties learning English. It is what it is.

I doubt Ronaldo got that at United in the early 2000s. You can see in some of his interviews from back then it really seems like his teammates are teaching him English more than anyone else (though he may have also had a bit of professional teaching idk), whereas in the modern day it seems like its one of those things that clubs probably help their players adapt with.
Also imo irrespective of background, certain people are more predisposed to either get it to a good level, or leave it at "good enough". I guess their origin could play into that, but it's probably just the fact CR7 was a teenager when he arrived here rather than like 25 that Silva was, and in a time where it was probably coaching was maybe not provided by the club or harder to come by in England.

The fact that one parent is an alcoholic can affect learning skills in a child because alcohol affects a fetus and a child's development in an early pregnancy phase. This is why I respect Cristiano even more; he had it harder than Silva in life. Cristiano also knows he doesn't speak good English, he said so on his channel/ Instagram a few times but it's still great he speaks it.
