I do almost full time learning coding at work since I have so much free time as a BA. Non stop learning and practicing for me. I will be there.

Thanks Tim, throughout my career I have always been painfully aware of my limitations and shortcomings when it comes to programming. There are just so many moving parts and they change and are added to frequently. Glad I saw this first thing this morning. :)

Tim! Thank you for this clear path to become a better programmer . I really needed this. I’m just starting my career as Software Engineering entry level. So I’m going to use this process to help strengthen skillset .

Thank you, dear Tim, for everything you have done for us(the community). You reform the way I think and I work. Thank you again, and keep it up, dear.

One thing, Mr. Tim: development firms constantly develop and update new versions, so we don’t have time to keep up with everything. If you focus on one technology, another one escapes you. It’s very difficult to master all technologies, and it’s extremely exhausting. With the workload we have, we don’t even have time to rest or grow in other areas.

That is the reality of software development and something we have to learn to thrive in. Yes, the industry is constantly changing, but why wouldn't it? As software developers, it is our job to continually make our apps better. Why wouldn't everyone else do the same thing?
I don't recommend you try to master all technologies. In fact, I would encourage you to actively ignore some technologies. For instance, while I have been a Java developer in the past, I have not kept up with Java at all. I also could not spin up a Kubernetes cluster or tell you the best practices around developing one. Instead, I recommend focusing on your area and the areas directly around your area. That's why I'm a big fan of Blazor - it allows you to still focus on C# while doing client-side development. If you try to take on Angular, React, or Vue, you have to add a LOT of additional technologies. That divides your focus. You can do it, but it makes your life harder.

Blogging: i understand. I was updating my github to explain what my app does and man.... It's a learning curve.

I do 1 hour per day. Sometimes even other tech stacks.

I was trying to do 1 hour a day and I could not get past the surface level on anything. I had to do at least 3 hours on what I wanted to really get good at, and I'm glad I did. 1 hour sets do not work for me.

The key is practice. Watching/reading isn't going to help you progress. You need hands-on experience.

@ Absolutely. In your courses you sound like a broken record, but it's the reason you get better. Sometimes the courses are 1+ hours. I feel my best time to practice is during or after watching the material. That way it's fresh. It's a hard balance to maintain but I need to do it to get better.

Yep, I say it a lot because it is the number one key to success. People often try to skip past it and then wonder why they are struggling.

We are working on it. We are working on trying to figure out the best way to list items on our site for sale. Once we figure that out, we will definitely start selling branded merch.
