- The Biden administration will send more than $1 billion worth of additional weapons to Israel, with the bulk of the package being tank ammunition and tactical military vehicles.
The move follows backlash over the administration's decision to pause a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel over concerns they could cause massive civilian casualties if used in the crowded city of Rafah.
Meanwhile, in response to the administration's decision to pause the heavy bomb shipment, House Republicans plan to advance a bill that would mandate the delivery of such offensive weapons.

Tanks and their ammunition are being used daily offensively in Gaza. Even now, with the Israelis divesting with decency, this unpopular inordinately high amount of aid is going to Israel. Congress is ring kissing with their bill which is smoke and mirrors to try to protect their seats. Consistently for decades polls have shown 85% of Americans disagree with the inordinate amount of aid to Israel when this money make huge differences in Funding education, housing, feeding the hungry in the US, dealing with the drug problem, and infrastructure instead of putting the US high on the list of countries that fund human rights abuses. Standing firm in cutting military support was the one way our leaders could show courage and stand up against the killing and oppression of innocents. The ramifications for our own country and elections could hurt us as well in catastrophic ways. Even a large number of American Jews are against this.

I try not to hate either, but I do think the fall with Biden will be a little less painful then the one tRump would engineer. I could be wrong as the end of empires always seems to be messy. Though I would rather follow the path of the British fall then that of, say, Rome. Either way, I think the US reign is about over. And I suspect history will suggest that it was time.
