    Great truck.. lots of fun but the heads crack on a frightening percentage of them.

      They had a bad batch in 2012 or 2013 can't remember which year but the models before and after that year was solid. Idk what mitsubishi did that year, maybe they tried a new design or new makeup and it failed miserably. But bare in mind that the vehicles had 200-300k kms on them before any issues started showing up most of the time

    The suv version of this, pajero/montero sport is a nice car to drive - especially the 2020 version which seemed to have improved nvh. When it's up 20-80km/h the diesel engine is pretty silent, the cabin has good nvh, and it absorbs road imperfections quite nicely

    This one must be the short bed version as it’s 134bhp. The long bed L200 has 174bhp and obviously a longer rear bed, enough to fit a pallet in, and then likely competes with the Navara. Would never have a Navara from same era as this L200, as it has terrible NCAP safety rating, and yes, the chassis rusts so badly they will literally snap in half. 🤦‍♂️

    • @PSmith-qp2lo

      Do you know the lengths of the shorter & longer load beds?? Just curious as im in the market for an L200, just trying to weigh up if the 40bhp less, but less overall length/overhang would be more beneficial or if the overhang isnt so drastic, therefore 170 odd bhp in a large vehicle would be ideal.... 👍

    • @RealWorldCarReviews
      @RealWorldCarReviews 4 года назад +1

      Phil Smith I think it’s an extra 16cm or so. Enough so you can fit a pallet on. Without the extra bhp you have to rev it harder in first two gears. It’s the one I’m going to go for. That is, when we get past this insane virus situation.

    • @PSmith-qp2lo
      @PSmith-qp2lo 4 года назад

      @@RealWorldCarReviews thanks for getting back to me.... ahh i can live with 16cm.... im looking at the barbrian model.... do you know if each model comes in a short bed and a long bed, or is the long bed reserved for a specific model?? Will you be using yours for work or as a recreational vehicle??

    • @RealWorldCarReviews
      @RealWorldCarReviews 4 года назад +1

      Phil Smith No probs. I don’t know specific models fully, although I believe they did it up to the Warrior. There are specs online for the length of the long bed version, so you can physically check (or ask the seller to measure) the length of the truck. I’m going to be using mine for work, as I’m buying and selling motorbikes, so need the extra bed length. Other thing to remember is the long bed gets 170bhp over 135bhp. You can remap them anyway though so it’s not a huge deal.

    What kind of front seats do you have? My '06 L200 has also leather seats but completly different, an very uncomfortable...

  • @drabsbrad
    @drabsbrad 5 лет назад +3

    That's not a warrior, has no wheel arch extensions and has cubby on dash instead of trip computer. Reversing screen in rear view mirror is not standard. Also heater controls are wrong. It's a 4 life or 4 work model with added bits.

    Hello . Thank you for this video. I am an owner of a 2012 Mitsubishi L200 with an automatic transmission gear box. And here is the problem . As I am driving at a normal speed of 80 km/hour -55 miles/h , often stepping away from the gas pedal and let the car go due to traffic, then the car breaks suddenly 2 times and moves from the 4th gear to the second gear. After that it is stucked on the second and I cannot accelerate, the D indecator flashes, and the only way out is to pull over and switch off the engine and started again. Do you have an idea what is causing it ? Can anyone help ? Thank you the faults are P1782 and P1783

    • @anthonyramdin1037
      @anthonyramdin1037 Год назад

      This sounds like an electronic problem. There are wires going from the ECU to the transmission box and sometimes due vibrations, off road use the wires get damaged and causes malfunctions like you describe. Let someone check the wiring connections to the transmission.

    Looking at getting one ,rang the insurance to see how much extra it would cost for after market wheels and plastic arches ,no extra cost upto £700 worth of wheels but they wont insure me if I put on plastic wheel arches ,just wanted the agressive look ;/ what size wheel do you have on this one ,looks lush ;)

      @@georgeboy5511 I must have dreamed that then...😂 Doe not matter anyways. I like the L200. I prefer the generation before that, just because we had one for many many years. And only got rid of it because of its tendency form more and more into swiss cheese.

    • @y4nnickschmitt
      @y4nnickschmitt 4 года назад

      @@georgeboy5511 Thats the thing though. We had had it from 1998 to 2012 and the one thing that broke was the heater core. And it had a tough life of always towing to heavy and all that.
      So out of sheer boredom I start to read about the k74 a couple of weeks ago, expecting to only find positive stuff. I was wrong. It seems to have had countless issues with fueling and more.
      We must have gotten very lucky then. Or those problems were blown out of proportion. Either way, I was slightly disappointed to read what I read.
      The old thing got exported though. So it might still be going somewhere in Africa😂

    • @sp4msolo724
      @sp4msolo724 7 лет назад

      You can replace the timing chain before it snaps. its a lot more difficult to replace a chassis before ti snaps,and it will snap because they are rusting at an unbelievably fast rate. I think they are made of cheese from the moon

    • @MrPaddy1000111
