Viper, 2015 Halloween flying vampire animatronic character.

This video starts with it completed, shown at night. Then a few days earlier in daylight, and finally an under the skirt look during construction. Built for my yard haunt, Viper is an electric motor & servo powered Halloween character. It was inspired by a (commercial haunt quality) pneumatic Flying Vampire available from Poison Props.
Viper uses Tyler Straub's PIC based 4-button learning (Scubaboo type) controller for sequencing, sounds, and lifer control. A Parallax Propeller (running Brain Lincoln software) controls the character servos. Choice of materials was heavily influenced by what I had on hand. In the video lighting is already on, in actual use lights are also controlled by the controller. Here are links to more information on the controllers.
