I've been watching Colorado videos for a week planning amg a family trip. This is by far the sharpest, highest quality video I've come across. Thank You.
Memories...need to go back. I have family history there going back to around 1905. Great grandfather owned a zinc mine and was the County Assayer at that time. Grandpa graduated from Ouray HS in 1918 and he was the center on the basketball team. They won the state championship that year. When Grandpa passed in ‘79 mom and I buried his ashes at the family plot in the Ouray Cemetery just outside of town. We actually met a lady who babysat my Grandfather on that trip as well as a childhood friend who lived there his whole life. Ouray is a very special place not only to our family but to everyone who lives or visits there.
Hermoso estado..todos sus paisajes son espectaculares...su gente se ven tan apacibles y cariñosos...la verdad vale la pena vivir alla...estar en contacto con la naturaleza y respirar aire puro y limpio...hermosisimo...felicidades
We went to Ouray many times when living in Albuquerque before moving to Hico Tx I was hot to move to Ridgeway just north of Ouray. Ouray is one of my favorite places and miss it lots. What a great video and wonderful music .

WHY EUROPE ❓❓When there's so many beautiful places here (United States) to visit...so much history .....We do have a little bit of “Heaven" right here❣️😇 🇺🇸May God Bless America 🇺🇸
I know exactly where it is..my statement was why visit Europe when you have beautiful places here (for instance (Little Switzerland) in Ouray, Colorado.......in The United State🤗
Exactly. Canada and Alaska is even nicer (British Columbia, Alberta, etc.) and the American and Canadian Rocky Mountains are all part of the same Mountain Range.
We just had the pleasure of driving through this beautiful town via Silverton. Absolutely took my breath away. Would have loved to explore more but on time restraint. Would recommend this drive if you"re touring the area. You will not be disappointed.
We go to Ouray every year. Have been going there and staying at the Riverside Inn for eight years now. Love your work and the choice of music was perfect. maybe run into you guys out there sometime?
Went3 times with my wife, so glorious. Kind of afraid to go there by myself, not afraid of the mountains or anything, I love those hikes, but to be there without ….her. That might ache a lot.
This reminds me more of Yosemite with the exposed rock and faulting, than Switerlands more eroded wide valleys. Great footage. Todd Fisher wrote about a spiritual quest he shared with sister Carrie here. You can feel that energy. Mahalo
My Wife and use to visit Ouray and Silverton back in the early mid 1990's. This video shows how Ouray has changed and become too commercialized and crowded. Things don't stay the same i know, but we won't be back. We'll keep the memories with our photos as Ouray was so beautiful at one time.
Gorgeous footage. I am still trying to figure out how you obtained the footage. Did you use a drone? Thanks. This is how I travel, I am not going to those places.
Outstanding footage and video in general. Your drone views are excellent and gives great perspective. I'm going to add this to my Colorado Playlist. I have a couple questions. What highway or highways were you on? Also, can you see all of this scenery by sticking to paved roads or do you have to go on dirt or gravel? Thanks
Pretty Sure the road and lake you see in the first minute of this video is The Grand Mesa outside of Grand Junction Colorado. That lake is indeed Island Lake on the Grand Mesa. It’s not Ouray at all.
I've spent a lot of time here, I don't know where you got the name little Switzerland I know the sign says Switzerland of America. Anyway that's a beautiful video thanks for taking me back.
Buena Vista to Del Norte to Pagosa Springs to Durango to Ouray (on 550). Wrap from Ouray to Telluride. Then, back East through Montrose to Curecanti Rec area. You would cover some diverse and absolutely stunning scenery. I live out here. Never gets old!
Interesting. The Little Switzerland I know is nestled in Western North Carolina, a place made even more beautiful because it’s on the phenomenal Blue Ridge Parkway. Truly, the BRP is a National treasure . . . but the present administration seems bent on slowly choking it to death by reducing funding and support. If this shortsighted policy continues what will remain are “you know who’s” private golf courses.
When I went to switland, it was mid July, but still chilly.... But beautiful.... My early 20s. And I was in Germany back then but visited Switland with driving car.... With Edward J Chapman....
Some of it I believe is the Million Dollar Highway. At least the section from Ouray to Silverton. Stunning scenery but you need to have your "big boys pants" on :)
i wouldn't leave the drive way till the roads where clear . omg . snow and no rails . ha ha i wouldn't trust 4 wheel drive . haha. beautiful though . paradise is always 50/50 hell . haha/
Bryan Johnson Thank you sir!🙏 by the way, is it accessible by car, or you have to hike a fee miles to get there? Planning to take my kids (4 and 7yo) there this fall break. Thank you.👍🏼
@Achaeos Salisbury I've had a house there for over 20 years. There i a small gym at the city hot springs. Thats the edge of town and the start of the national forest. Its not really farming country...you'd be better off somewhere else.
Hes referring to the sign is you leave town going up toward Red Mountain pass, but he got it wrong Ouray Is affectionately called the Switzerland of America.
JESUS sure did create some beautiful places.

So beautiful! We ride motorcycles all over this country, but it looks way scarier when I see it from above!
Nowhere more beautiful
Visiting this Summer simply can’t wait
Hopefully I can go this year so beautiful
Oh my

I love Ouray, Co. Been there many times. It has changed over the years can't say it's for the better. But yes it's a great place to go
Leftist douche bags have taken over, Colorado is being Californicated.
Great video!
Those drones and small HD cameras have been a game changer for videography.
the video is totally great, and the backround music also, thanks
Thanks! Nice place to do photography as are many other places in Colorado.
what is the music it goes so well with the drive

Stunning, reminds me of mid Wales.
Wow wow I'm in love with that little town 😍 ill love to know whats the name of that lake and the water falls plz plz I want to go
At 4:30 in the video, where is this waterfall located that appears to be right of the highway? Visiting in September and I don't want to miss it
Pretty country.
Years ago I had a sticker on my truck window that said Ouray. Lots of folks would ask me, " where's that?"
I thought you were not able to fly a drone in national forest? Enlighten me cause I really want to fly here.
Gorgeous footage. I am still trying to figure out how you obtained the footage. Did you use a drone? Thanks. This is how I travel, I am not going to those places.
One of the most beautiful places! Going to retire there! This video does no justice to seeing it in person!

Great video - where is the lake at your 30 sec marker. We are actually up here now and would love to visit.
That is island lake on Grand Mesa.
Is this waterfall easy to find?
What's the name of the lake in the start of the video? The one with the small island. Thanks for the video
Nice... I’m driving my corvette out there next summer. Is county road 7 paved?
Buena Vista to Del Norte to Pagosa Springs to Durango to Ouray (on 550). Wrap from Ouray to Telluride. Then, back East through Montrose to Curecanti Rec area. You would cover some diverse and absolutely stunning scenery. I live out here. Never gets old!
The lake in 0:26-0:47 is awesome!👍🏼 does anybody know the name of the lake? Thanks.
That is Island Lake near the top of the Grand Mesa, which lies between Grand Junction, Delta and Hotchkiss.
That looks to be Island Lake on the Grand Mesa, about 100 miles north of Ouray. Could be wrong though...
Interesting. The Little Switzerland I know is nestled in Western North Carolina, a place made even more beautiful because it’s on the phenomenal Blue Ridge Parkway. at almost 8,000 feet you can bet you'll go there on the June/July cusp. or bring your big dogs and the sled.

This area is beautiful, but alot of the water below Red Mountain is polluted from gold mining.
