I am an avid, twice-a-day meditator and have traditionally meditated in silence. However, because I was really enjoying listening to these videos in the background while I work, I decided to try listening while I meditate for the past week or so. Somehow or other it has really enhanced my meditation and allowed my mind to become more clear of thought than I was able to achieve previously. These are truly amazing. They may not work that way for everybody, but they sure work for me.

But you're right, it's certainly not for everyone. 🙂 I know it makes some people want to stab their ears.🥴 It's great that for you, it enhances the effects of your everyday meditation. Who knew paper sounds had it in them? 😃
Batik mention!! Its always nice to see anything related to my country getting mentioned. I personally love the pattern! But a lot people here only wear it on formal occations and label it as "old and basic". I am loving the sound though!! Printings are kinda fun to watch

The artists participating in the conference do seem to have a modern take on it, making it look contemporary and cool. In any case, it was fun learning a bit more about this art form.
