I feel like with more blowback towers, so top path druid, bottom path beast tamer and some more stunners like bloon impact you might be able to get pretty close to 2 mil. Obviously they'll steal too many pops to actually hit it by round 100 but I do think its theoretically possible by like round 105. I just dont think its possible in chimps as some farming is likely required

I think if you try this run with higher damaging stalls, it'll be easier. Stuff like a Sabo is great for 2MP, but for 1MP where you can spare pops, something like a Super Glue might work a lot better. The Condor was a great buy along these lines - fantastic stall for not terribly high pop counts. You also might want something like a 320 druid, both for ceramic blowback and for de-regrow on r79 - it's not a tower you'd use in 2MP due to too much damage, but in 1MP I think it could be really good.

I still think using Geraldo's items is heavily cheating, whether the game counts it as the other towers pops or not, it clearly is caused directly by Geraldo.
I'm not talking about the sharpening stone or pickle as they just affect the towers own stats. The fire and genie has their own separate attacks outside of the tower.

Regrows don't give additional pops anymore. They changed it so you can't farm them to get pops for paragon degrees in ranked bosses.
