"I don't even know what's going on, I can't even see my hero" - OG.Ana, Game 4, The International 2018 Grand Finals
rewatch beacause of true sight
Years later and 2018 OG still the most exciting TI run ever
2019 was fun to watch as well
This game will go down in Dota history. By the end of the Bo5, every team member on OG had pulled their weight and absolutely deserved that win ! sooo happy for them :)
I think topson was carried this series. He died so many times unnecessarily. Many he does good other times but today, this series, he was carried hard. Ceb for sure mvp this game, Ana for game 5. Topson wasn't mvp any game.
@@H2oRiz They focused on Topson, trying to ruin his game. Ceb was bought time to farm.
@@H2oRiz LGD game plan was to focus on enemy mid and snowball. They gave Topson a very hard time. But that created some space for others. For eg ceb got space in this game. Later Topson was able to recover.
@@H2oRiz Its because TOPSON is an extremely aggressive mid player so if he gets space he will have one mission and thats going around the map and destroying enemy farm and getting kills. The same as SUMAIL but more aggressive. That means the enemy cant give topson space and have to cut him down early game otherwise they will regret it. After topson goes around the map and gets kills and dies often a lot of space is usually created for ANA and that means ana will simply come out of farming and carry the game.
So no topson didnt fuck up. It's his playstyle and LGD knows that and that's why the focus him so much.
sylva sylvi so topson throwing a tornado wrong direction and cancelling ghost walk is not a mistake get out of here I love topson and og but dota isn’t all about space and that stuff topspon constantly bad positioning led him to dying becuase Lgd focused him it’s simple what to do just change your oakystaly elf you are behind and getting targeted if dota actually orked how you thought then no one would god do kills because it gives other space the perfect dota game is no one dying it’s better not to die
Its 2023, who else still whatch this epic match. Og redemption.
watching it right now
2024 still watching
2024
legitimately one of the best games of dota ever, not to mention an international. Ana put on his man pants and ascended to godhood
This was hands down the best International match EVER!
true dat, id say this is arguably the best ti so far
Ahmad Faisal Zulkifli this just shows how meta became more exciting
nope, Alliance vs NaVi game 5 still better
EG Ehome TI6 Game 1 is unbeatable in my book, but this one is really close
@@cyan-cs No it wasnt better. Alliance vs NAVI was awsome but the game was so much more simpler those times and audience expectations were much lower. Now this TI is a lot more complex and audience have been more used to game complexity so it might not be as exciting. But if you went back in time and showed people this TI in 2013 everyonew would jizz in their pants
the axe that saved the whole series.
who came back after watching Against The Odds?
Goddamn, I watched this live. I remember praying so badly at 4am, the chills that ran down my spine every time there was a kill against OG, almost biting my nails off. That was really stressful, but fun. I miss it.
@@ok_guy957 I was watching this after work after the series finished I didn't realized it was 5hrs already, morning shift manager was like wtf you still here lol
@@ok_guy957 8
i came here after watching true sight
1:03:26 Ame (Morphling) gets juked by Ana (PL) illusion. --- Also, LGD had two tier 3 towers down for a long time but they forgot to take down the shrines, which allowed JeRax to burst heal Ana --- critical error by LGD.
LGD and losing TI because they didn't take the time to kill shrines, name a better combo.
This is without a doubt one of the greatest games of Dota ever played
Ame crying while drunk and saying sorry to Somnus stating he was "noob" and his morph was "noob" brought me back to this video, even though I watched this already a million times. Still, huge respect to BOTH teams for putting an intense fight. 👏🙌
That clip bring me back here too. This is so heart broken for Ame. 😢
which timestamp he made the mistake?
@littlecienbak no time stamp. He meant the entire game 4. He cried and apologized to Somnus and called himself and his morph noob. Search it in the news.
1:17:03 CEEEEEEEEEB!! gets the call, of His Lifetime.... The Winning Call..
the cull*
While it was a great play. I don't think it would have decided the game. I think Ana still has BB and so were 2 other OG. Had Ceb not jumping in, he would have lived too, which makes it 3 people alive at least, not counting Ana, to guard against Ame morph + 2 as Ana probably would be able to take out Tusk before he dies had Ceb not jumping in, who along with Bloodseeker has no BB. The call simply sealed the game and ends LGD hope of a comeback. There are more significant moment, such as Ana selling item to buy back which wins them the fight, their 2 minutes push delay with Ana illusion confused LGD, LGD hesitation to push high ground, Ceb catching Ame at bot which gave them 2 lane and one barrack. It was a great game, the call was just the cherry on top.
@@lc9245 Yeah the call was the axe falling on their heads. They secured roshan with all his drops and gg.
You guys noticed it after the "Ceeeeb" call?
If you look closely after that teamfight all OG's buybacks are all replenished, so that just means OG are so sufficient and strategic when it comes to Buybacks during TI8, so basically speaking, no matter what happens they already win that teamfight, because OG already forced and controlled LGD to start a clash with their buybacks on a good timings.
Next Level Play
I think they mastered the art of Buyback
I dont freaking know why there are people saying OG's TI8 win was a fluke, I really dont understand that statement, it seems all the haters really underestimated OG's 2018-19 Roster at all.
I like Ceb
the yearly rewatch of the greatest Dota series ever!
Jerax+NoTail healed a combined 45k....that's pretty insane
Who came back to watch this after true sight ?
Me..want to rewatch "THE CALL"..CCCEEEEEEEEEBBBBBB!!!!
me , want to watch again Ceb " call of his lifetime " :D
goosebumps just watching this.... hats off to both teams what a freaking fight !
This game still haunts Ame until today and its been 5years. My man cried during his Birthday because of this. You'll get it next time Ame #UncrownedKing
1:03:00 that was the most clutch pl play in history. so much on the line, no buyback, surrounded and he still pulls out the miracle
Yes. Their communication to fake retreat and went for the double speed healing shrine is just incredible.
Ame was still devastated by his morph four years ago. Hoping for Ame to heal from his loss. I'm rooting for you to comeback and get the aegis. Still the uncrowned king 🔥
Jerax mindgames. Love this guy.
Still watching until now. May the best team win.
FY snowball saves were a thing of beauty. GOAT
Dude rewatching this cause i miss jerax clutch plays
1:03:25 If ana wasnt able to dodge that waveform it couldve costed them the game
Watching this after god knows how many times. The romance of men who put in countless hours of hard work to get the chance to compete on this grand stage.
WHos back here in 2022 before another TI comes... This is arguably the best TI match of all time...
Axe is a man's hero.
Og ers y son increíbles los 5 integrantes, bien merecido su victoria, me encanto! Notail te vendría bien el objeto de espejo como ayuda a tu hc
go home og? yeah, with the aegis.
Hahaha poor those people who demoralized og and doubting their individual skills. Maybe by this time they’re a fan now
1:07:52 "PL level 25 guys."
From true sight...
"They've got a problem"
Deeply thankful for LGD...every games is very intense!
I watched this game about 10 times already. And twice the True Sight for now.
man that commentary ! odpixel = legend
I remember how psg lgd laughed at how OG picked their heroes at true sight. 😂
55:39 ana sells aquila and tullisman just to have enough gold for buyback. Well playex
yeps, the most underrated play in the entire series
and it was unnoticed
@@gfunkydota idk man, its was noticed after 2 3 months of this game. It was everywhere in youtube
@@emiliamitsuya6644 pretty sure it was pointed out on Reddit within hours of the game ending.
@ 55:30 Ana sell his item for BB
Good catch
omg some next lvl shit
I watch it more than ten times ceb is so cool of his blink call and the support was perfect damn teamwork og 👍💪👊
I remembered watching this live, omfg that comeback is superb.
"go home og" lol you woulda though nerds
talk shit
get fucked
meanwhile lgd being super friendly, playful, tolerant and sportsmanlike throughout. fans givin their team a shit name
OG beat PSG LGD 2-1 first time, it was really obvious OG would win
Dude did you watch the games? Og went super far behind early in game 4 and 5 and got dominated game 2 and 3. It was hella close
lol Og was hella close every game they played. Im starting to think that it was there strategy to abuse confidence and comeback mechanics
one of the best clash in TI history.
the best TI grand finals so far.
I remember people shouted “go home og”. After the game, i was like, get wreck. OG rules!,!
This still gives me chills
1:17:08 , one of greatest goosebumps ever
Never seen a match that intense! 💯
TI3 Game 5
you cannot discount how much jerax impacted the game with his clutch heals and relocate plays. damn the guy really doesnt have anything else to prove after ti8 and ti9
Came here just to say..... back 2 back baby!!!! Dream OG!
57:00 one decision that costs millions of dollars
Ame?
These 5 games are getting even crazier if you look closely at what each player clutches at every single moment they were facing.
Some of the best dota ever
This game answer me all, why DotA stil be a legendary MOBA game paa through the century ....
Dota? MoBa?? 😂😂😂
The greatest game of Dota 2 in its history.
this game was LGD's when they destroyed 2 tower inside OG's base, they should've taken the risk to take the 3rd, but they just don't want to take a risk when they have a great upper hands, they should've known that their opponent OG has great comebacks, so you just have to risk it in the right time, or you'll gonna risk it again in late game. It's just the same, you'll have yo take the risk sooner or later. Hands down to the mogul kahn btw
In the semi finals against OG, LGD wanted to finish the game quick, but got greedy by pushing the T4 towers and ancient using buybacks just for attacking. They failed and it cost them the game.
They learned the lesson, but playing safe didn't work either
Sick cast by OD
No idea how Ceb didn't get MoM. He clearly did everything to keep their team from losing. Did so much that it allowed Ana to get farmed up and become unkillable.
ceb made his axe item build to the axe item build meta!
So happy for OG and n0tail in particular with winning this TI! However, that dive at 18:20 when they already have the advantage top is such a bad decision when there is a Bloodseeker mid who starts to snowball off that buff :/ almost cost them the game.
So true!
I think what Ame's crying about is at this moment 57:00. This one particular moment haunting him till this day, poor Ame.
I rewatch because of TRUE SIGHT.. i feel wow with OG draft
Best game of the whole tournament
rewatch because of quarantine :)
Why does Topson's invoker cape swings different, I have the same set like his but mine doesn't swing that much
if xnova was still chasing ceb in last fight there would be different champion
He could be punching in the air when ceb made that call even though he killed axe after that
Is it possible to get the match id. i really want to watch this game from CEB's point of view
4080778303
I have watch it.. Every moves is calculated ahead of time..
Probably the best dota game ever played
you started dota in 2017 right ?
EG vs EHOME is still better but this probably beats out AF vs OG game 3.
@@sbarz106 why?
Surely the game was intense. But hands down to ODPixel's casting. He just amplifies the game.
Good play by OG, really good. But I think this just shows how broken that PL Talent is though, you can effectively dodge any spell + you're very difficult to single out.
You need an earthshaker an ember spirit or an axe
dude the level of control and map awareness needed is pretty pro level ! you need extreme mechanics to do that believe me i played pl and its not that simple ! Ana is too good
It looked all ogre at the start and then that beautiful bastard of Axe did some magic. Amazing game!
Here just to visit the CLASSIC OG game.
Best game in history of DOTA2
"GO HOME OG"
LuL where is your LGD in TI9 finals?? Got home early?
Does anyone know about that tusk ambient effects? From what equipment does he get it from?
DOta Plus set
10 International games. This is the best game of grand finals
I feel sorry for Nova, the man really gave his all, buying wards, just tread on his items, but unfortunately they lost the game,Lancer was really unstoppable in long game though,
imba 2 sec doppelganger
Watching after having pub games with pos 5 pudge.
Little did we know; this was the end of the enjoyable dota. Game has been dying ever since.
Going to 14:09 game start.
Very good job all players in OG your my only one super duper idol I'm from Philippines woooooooo

OG hearing Come on OG clap clap
Congrats
Congrats :)
I'm still excited for TI10
Jerex at 20:37 ! This man is not human! Notice the salve play in the end! Crazy!
This game is absolutely insane.
There's a moment, around 1:00:50 or so, when a less resilient team might have thrown in the towel.
i saw it live ... i was thinking it is over but they fuckin did it .... amazing
dude I was watching at like 2 in the morning too, and I was so ready to go to bed
b u t t h e y p u l l e d i t b a c k
Nah man, when you're in the grand finals of TI you play til the end. You even saw that in the semifinals this year, EG not calling it until their ancient was more or less dead.
That sacrifice Notail made on his Chen was fcking amazing!
2023 and still the best TI game ♥
1:17:10 The legendary CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB!!!
I am not a pro but if lgd had taken down the shrines the fight at 1:03 would have been in lgd's favor. it would also reduce the impact of buyback turn arounds.. what are your thoughts on this?.. P.S I am no pro and not claiming to be one.. just asking if this would have been a good stratergy
IF they tried taking down the shrine they would have risked showing themselves allowing LGD to be initiated on by OG and become forced to take a losing fight. And Rosh was the next objective which seemed a lot more important.
@@englishbeef7493 yea sounds reasonable
destroying shrine is not that easy bro in high tier games. cos you will be giving enemies vision of yourselves
Rewatch because of Crying Ame to somnus 😢
The teamfight at 1:02:43 is the most miraculous fight I've seen. 3v5, low hp on all heroes but they still managed to win
there is no one tell that fy tusk at this game has ethereal gem bug and it is so beautiful to see!
This is heeeella hype
Majestic game. But my heart still hurts for Fy. Best dots player to never win ti
This is peak dota!
After the UB Finals: Best match in dota history!
After this Game 4: THE BEST MATCH IN DOTA HISTORY!
