Janja, спасибо за милый клип и за то, что вспомнили прелестную Колыбельную П.И. Чайковского в исполнении уникального русского тенора Сергея Лемешева.

Lemisêv had not only a beautiful voce, he was also a very good singer. He and Kozlovski, both made a very great successful career. They both were the top Russian tenors of their time, and both singers had a fan club in Russia as huge as like Callas and Tebaldi had.
But while Kozlovski got permission to go singing abroad, Lemisêv never got. Stalin wanted Lemisêv to show up in the Kremlin and to sing for him, anny time he wanted, day or night. He, and the soprano Galina Vishnevskaya, became Stalin's favorites, but also his victims.
That's why we didn't know him well. But he was great!!!!

I don't sleep well these days so this lullaby is a godsend. Time to wake up now Bazza and make your nice comment. Just look at that beautiful Slav script - whether Latin or Cyrrilic. Germans have to write Tschaikowski which seems like too many letters to produce a simple sound. By the way, Cradle has one "d". Lemeshev has a smooth soothing voice.
