At this point I’m convinced that Pegasus Challenge is some sort of high-concept parody of a typical Yugioh RUclips series. That’s the only possible explanation for why it’s like this
I think you’re right - but something tells me Joseph forgot to mention that to Danny. I also think Joseph himself keeps sporadically forgetting that the whole thing is meant to be a parody and just defaults to acting like he’s filming Roulette, before remembering where he is and overcompensating by doing a really bad bit.

It is, and releasing an episode the exact same day dzeef had one (with Danny even!) with basically the exact same gimmick, but actually watchable, is too on point...anyways just make Danny's chat full of criminals make the rules going forwards if the show is actually real
I love when the "Usage" stat pops up during a combo and its like "only 0.00001% of players have ever played Catalyst Field and Burnout in the same turn!"
My favorite part about this series is that only one of the hosts actually likes it and who that is switches every 5 minutes

@@pablorosada9788 as somebody who has done that twice in my life, it’s something that takes no less than 70 or more hours to do, and requires constant repetition and backtracking, it’s basically like playing the same game five times
Edit: Rare has had a habit of making over 100% completion as a “thing” in their games forever.

I had the Gemini structure as a kid and almost cried reading all the normal monster support in the deck because I didn't understand the geminis were normal monsters on field/gy and thought nothing worked
I had a semi-sort of similar thing, where I thought 'Non-Effect Monster' meant it specifically was designed not to work with Gemini's, and only actual Normal Monsters. lol
Really sad to see this beloved series end after 337 hours, but it had a fantastic run. I met a lot of friends through mutual interest in the series, and it's truly changed my life.
Seeing Danny phone in saying he doesn't have the gems/ dust for the deck while it's like 80% SRs is such a Master Duel moment. It's exactly what building lower tier strategies is like because all the remotely good cards become high rarity so they have something SR/ UR for the packs, but because these strategies are bad at base the cards needed to make them functional get spread around between a handful of different packs/ archetypes.
Yeah every deck you could play is optimized to be as expensive as possible

It was bold of Konami to build a subset of cards around a detriment, rather than the usual mechanic meant to do something positive.
Then to go in the opposite direction, where you would think they would have insane effects to counteract the detriment, but instead, give them subpar to terrible effects.
danny roped into the two worst deck building series at the same time is so good
I like how they still spin the wheel despite the outcome being in the title already so we know what its eventually going to land on. Its part of the series' jank charm.

As the first commenter said, Danny is very attractive. I would love to see Joseph's famed "big or small" game with Danny.
Gemini monsters really are just monsters that need to come out as effect monsters first.
What hurts me is that I'm probably one of the few ones who played and know how this deck works, and seeing some of these plays makes me sad but also completely understandable.

I remember winning a local tournament with Geminis back in 2012, don't ask me how, because it literally faced off against Shooting Star Dragon Turbo.

Honestly, cheating out Superalloy Beast Raptinus with Duality/Shadow's Light and any Level 8 Dark Dragon (Synchro usually), and then doing Il Blud/Gigaplant loops is a lot of fun.
I've yet to see another playable method of using Geminis though.

This video contained some great gameplay. Now i cant wait to find out when the gemini ten minute testing will happen. Will he make Infernoble Gemini which has a bunch of cool support and work really well together, or Chemicritters which do... something.
Funnily enough the tunner magican was genuinely great in duel links due to being a level 4 with good stats eventhough you have to wait a turn to make it a tuner and due to the limited card pool
(This was during the kibaman into blueyes is a great strategy era of duellinks)

Warriors Strike was my first structure deck. My great grandmother got it for my birthday when i was somewhere between 8-10. I have my heavily damaged phoenix gearfried on display on a shelf. Card has been through the wash at least once lol.

I like the duality between Danny in Joseph's roulette based series and Danny in Doug's roulette based series because in this one he looks miserable while in Doug's he seems to be having the time of his life. Thank you Joseph for remembering why I am in the Doug Dynasty

I'm going to start the insane fan theory that Danny hates MBT with every fiber of his being but the views and publicity are so good for growing his own channel that he tolerates being made to craft a deck of Gemini cards
MBT knows this and next week will rig the wheel to make Danny craft an entire Toon deck
Fun fact about Geminis, a gemini summon isn't considered an action when a card moved from its own location or position unlike literally all other summons, meaning if the summon itself happens directly before you enter the damage step on the same chain (via an effect like cubic ascension) the on-summon effect doesn't trigger during the damage step unlike all other on-summon effects.
Sometimes i wonder i they don't release Gemini support anymore. Thanks for making me remember why!

the only sleeved card I have is the phoenix gearfried from the structure because he was my shitty shitty childhood boss monster that consistently got hit by sakuretsu armour
I have a Gigaplant OTK Gemini deck, the Gemini mechanic is heavily slept on. Also that last play with the dimmer synthesis was half wrong, what’s supposed to happen is that you boost the smaller monsters with the larger monsters attack value before you either use the field spell to pop a card with whichever monster was reduced to 0 or use the 2 level 8’s to xyz summon the chemicritter extra deck monster

As someone that played both Magikey Chemicritter and Chemicritter Spright, this episode was super funny for me. Surely they could play better, use cards like Sublimation Knight and other monsters but the decks aren't that bad.
Between this and the attack wheel thing Danny is doing with Dzeef, I am convinced that he has found himself in actual hell.

I actually really, really, like Chemicritters. They have a cool concept and work within the confines of an outdated gameplay mechanic. I hope they make Chemicritters and Shinobirds a bit more viable rogue strats to carry on the legacy of gemini and spirit monsters.

That aside, joseph cheated, extra deck monsters aren't Geminies and the restriction was "Gemini or spell/traps that mention Gemini" not Gemini monster support in form of non-Gemini monsters.

the gemini structure deck was my first ever structure deck, so even knowing how awful this mechanic is I still have a weird soft spot for it

My first structure deck was the Phoenix gearfried deck and ever since they released the immortal Phoenix gearfried I build one running the infernobles and I'm building one with the Gemini monsters for Edison format
Catalyst field should activate from the deck after opening hands by returning the 5th card from your hand to the bottom of the deck or something

Hard to get effects off
Hard to get that second summon
Hard to fit into the game when all use meta
But they are fun and give a sense of production when you get em working

I think instead of forcing yourselves to only use cards that mention gemini on them, you should make a limit to the number of cards you can use without gemini on them. This would make the decks a bit more varied.
Fun fact: You can negate a non - Gemini Summoned Gemini Monster.
You negate the effect that makes it a normal monster.
Also: A Gemini Summon can be Solemned.
