    • @tosvus
      @tosvus 5 лет назад +2

      He is incredible, and could possibly go even longer, but I don't think it is recognized as a record. If you go by Top 40 standards for instance, Morten Harket holds a chest note for 20 seconds in "Summer Moved On". (how long he goes without breathing, I don't know) There are probably some freakishly long note holders/long breath singers out there too - but Dimash is really unique in that the quality as he sustains his notes.

    For your puzzlement regarding the "delay"-like sound, Mongolian, idk, a video from a well-known Vocal Coach, Tara Simons, hypothesized (Yes I'm treating Dimash's voice as a science, it's that crazy) that he created that sound by switching between chest and mixed voice registers extremely fast. Effectively, when someone's voice "breaks" a sound similar to this is created. However, Dimash takes this to another level, repeating these voice breaks and on pitch no less! The 21 second belt? K, cool. This? This is the highlight of the song, this is what makes this song unsingable by anyone other than Dimash. Spontaneous Combustion Dimashification should be a new type of reaction in chemistry >.

    • @Brax1982
      @Brax1982 5 лет назад +1

      It's not his song, so how can it be unsingable by anyone else? The delay referred to the technics, not his actual voice. I think Dimash has an anatomic anomaly which he uses to his advantage. You could say he is a superhuman, in a way.

    • @oliverbuc2861
      @oliverbuc2861 5 лет назад +2

      @@Brax1982 I meant the rendition, no disrespect due to A-studios. As for the delay, in his previous Sinful Passion reaction he mentioned the possible use of delay. Dimash certain does have an anomaly of a voice, and like many great artists uses that to his advantage. It's like having a third hand as a pianist.

    • @Brax1982
      @Brax1982 5 лет назад

      @@oliverbuc2861 Maybe we are working from different definitions. My definition of a delay is playing a copy of the same bit of audio a few seconds after the original. Sort of like echo. There is only a slight difference. This has nothing to do with the singer, just the technics aka the sound production. It does not refer to the warbling effect that he does. That's all him and Ovela knows that. I assume that Dimash can flap his vocal chords, somehow. Kinda like some people can wiggle their ears?
      Or maybe I need to watch the other video to understand what you are saying. I do remember that they reacted to one of his videos on Singer and questioned if the sound was post-produced. And they are right, Singer does that. And while doing that, one of his parts sounded different than it should have, due to compression, I think.

    This song was first performed by A-Studio, a Russian-Kazakh pop group, and written by Baigali Serkebayev, the guy on the keyboard in the first performance in Sochi. The original singer has since died. The music was reworked and arranged for Dimash. /from Dimash USA Fan Club 🇺🇸

    The possible answer to your question about Kazakh singing technique on min 6.00. We have a tradition on funerals which is called "zhoktau" or mourning/ weeping. He might be using it here...I'm not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that this special part was dedicated to the very first singer of this song and leader of a band A-Studio who died a few years ago. Originally song was singed by A-Studio band and their former leader Batyrkhan Shukenov (also Kazakh singer).

    To answer your question "How do you do that with your throat?"" it is like a yodel which is switching from full voice to falsetto and you speed up the transition between really fast. You hear it first in your video at 4:40 - 4:45 slow to faster. He uses this technique a lot in many songs just does not switch back and forth as fast. (Like you didn't notice it at 5:35 he does it twice again slowly)

    The wind is for his breath. After such a long verse, he must be very hypoxic.

    It is called throat singing, it's not being achieved through tongue vibration. It is very hard, takes a lot of practice.
    And did you noticed he prologued the run on 6:56 of your video. That is the most distinct difference, but also a lot of differences in prenounciation which only we Russian speaking people can hear.

    Exactly, Dimash deserves all audience attention globally. He is the best for sure!!! Thanks for the reaction. Kazakhstan is for sure proud of him. But unfortunately we didn't recognize his talent locally at home and that's why he got popular after I'm singer project

    It’s a Middle Eastern technique. Common in Azerbaijan. It’s produced by bouncing the voice between chest and head while emphasizing the break between registers. The break adds the choppy sound.

    Olá. Obrigada pela reação. Tem duas musicas que Dimash lançou recentemente que são muito belas. Reaja a elas, se possível. (The Love of Tired Swans ruclips.net/video/lXdA4yLNhiE/видео.html) e a outra musica é (The Meaning of Eternity ruclips.net/video/axtMcI6qO8o/видео.html) 💖💖💖💖💖💖

    Dimash held the last note for a long time. I myself has to breathe for him. What's amazing is that the unique sound or tone he did sounded like Arabic tone? Do you agree? Music don't have a name for it but it's awesome. It fits right into his song.

    That note is right near his vocal break and he is flipping back and forth between registers of chest and head, kind of like he usually does in a softer crying voice.

    What dimash does at 4:45 is a glottal run
    Please please react to homayoun Shajarian or his dad mohammadreza shajarian. They do these runs like it’s no ones business and I promise your mind will be blown

    Oh, my God. Yes. "The power that has been bestowed upon him by God,"-- so very true a statement. I fully agree with your comments. The song was created and composed by his buddies "Studio-A", a Kazakh band living in Moscow. In Dimash's Sochi performance the band was accompanying him. -- Lara Fabian is another wonderful singer. "Adagio", however, is based on a much older piece of music from the early 17th century. The music is know as Albinoni's "Adagio" G minor. "Adagio" is just a composer's lead word for the performers to play it "slowly". Now, in this modern version and song the Italian musical term has been personified. Albinoni's Adagio is generally considered the best music ever composed. Here's a link to one of the brilliant performances of the original "Adagio" by the London Symphony Orchestra: ruclips.net/video/XN5BFIHXs_I/видео.html
